OMG!!! The first time I used Olaplex I saw a dramatic decrease in my hair breaking! When I continued using the product my coils started to materialize and said, Hello! After that first time I now have an Olaplex day once a month for maintenance. I've always had a weekly routine and I never use heavy oils and butters, it weighs my hair down and leaves a cast on my hair. Thanks for the info back a couple of years ago concerning Olaplex. It has helped save my hair from mechanical damage!

Thank you for the excellent video. Last year, I started out using only Olaplex 3 after relaxing with immediate results. Earlier this year I bought 0 4,5,6,7 , and 8 was just delivered this week. The week after I relaxed my hair, I used the entire line (followed directions on label) and let me tell you it was worth every penny. It left my hair soft, shiny and reduced shedding like nothing I have ever used before. I am more than pleased with the product.👌🏾 Keep on preaching the truth!!

Your skin is glowing hun! I'm still following your advice. It's thicker/bushier when I comb it out. I take it out once a week (or so)cleanse, condition, dry then braid it back up. Once it gets real thick, I may let it out for a day or two, but it will go back into hiding. Stay safe!

Yass!!! Keep it up! Stay in hibernation until you need to have your hair out but keep up with your trims every 8-10 weeks. Lets give it 3 months, your hair will be longer than ever trust me.

You got me onto olaplex 3 when this came out!! It works amazing in my opinion. My hair was damaged from sun bleach and concrete dust from working construction. I use it on my granddaughter also but her hair is thicker and healthier and stronger than my hair type. Anyone who has hair that grows out of follicles on their scalp can benefit! Watching again

I always shampoo twice or clarify and apply olaplex after, I find it leaves my hair softer and more conditioned than when I use it after. I just rinse and follow with an acidic post colour conditioner to seal my cuticle

@@rdejlee9288 My hair is not technically damaged but it does suffer from weakness due to genetics, stress, medication and big city pollution. Air conditioning nor central heating doesn't help either. Olaplex has worked on my hair and I'm shook at how much stronger it is!

I use the entire system ( 0,3-7) when I color my hair. I was using my regular deep conditioner. I just got #8 today., so that will be my deep conditioner next time. I love the system. So my steps are #1 put in color, rinse out. Step #2 OlaPlex 0 for 10mins, then add #3 for an additional 15 mins. Step #3 OlaPlex 4 & 5. Step#4 Deep conditioner for 25 mins under steamer. Step #5 OlaPlex 6 & 7. I wash my hair once or twice a week depending on what my scalp tells me. I love this product line, it’s expensive but worth the money.

Yes!!! Remember, only sit under the dryer if you have low porosity hair.

I am 6 weeks out of using Olaplex and.....I can't find any split ends. Normally my ends would be really bad by week 6 post trim. The thing is also that I only use a small amount and it's going to last me forever because I have above shoulder-length hair and only used it once a week.

I purchased the system after going to a salon and the stylist started using it to rebuild my hair. I have heat and mechanical damage so yea.. I definitely saw a difference.. But it was a but time expensive to do at the salon every 2 weeks..

Well I just bought K18 to recover from silk presage because my stylist uses it, and due to constant comparisons, I learned about Olaplex. I asked my stylist about Olaplex but she didn’t know much about it. I’m realizing Olaplex may be better for my hair. I’m not going to waste the K18 products so I will research Olaplex while I use up my bottles. KZfaqrs keep comparing them and based on my readings they are different. I’m looking for long term care. I’m a natural with professional silk press once during the winters, but still getting split ends, dryness, itchy scalp & breakage.

No. You will get maximum effect but I used 0 and 3 after about 5 weeks post 1 and 2 in the salon. Then I use 4-8 once a week after and I still got great results. I shampoo my hair weekly and I chelate and clarify every 4-6 weeks so I don't have a lot of build up. I still follow my scalp, moisture and protein regimen in addition to the Olaplex.

You must do what the brand recommended.

If you hair is weak, damaged or breaking, I say use Olaplex 3 once a week at least. If your hair is not weak, damaged or breaking, then increase how much moisture you give your hair by using a moisturising shampoo and a moisturising ( protein-free) deep conditioner once a week and a light leave in conditioner daily and keep you hair in a short term weekly protective style like twists or two or three french braids. Olaplex is not a moisture treatment. If you don't moisturise and hydrate you hair properly, it will still break.

Your colour stylist should mix Olaplex 1 and 2 into your hair colour. That's what Guy Tang does. I'm not sure if you can mix 0 and 3 into hair colour at home because the best colour for your hair is salon colour and not box dye.

No use as directed just don’t use it if you only wash your hair once every couple months. You can’t have a clogged cuticle.

I shampoo my hair weekly. I don't use oils or butters. I chelate and clarify my hair with a sulfate and EDTA every 4-6 weeks. Week 1 I chelated and clarified and use Aphoghee 2-step and As I am hydration Elation Week 2 I used Olaplex 0, 3-8 as directed on the bottles/website. Week 3 I used my moisture shampoo and Hydration Elation. I think if you clarify and chelate your hair the week before and then maybe co-wash two days before you will have less build up so that the Olaplex 3 can bond to your dry but relatively clean hair.

Which number is the one my stylist puts on my hair that hardens up like Aphogee when you sit under the dryer? I have 3 though 7 that my stylist ordered for me, she says she has seen some results although it's been just a few months since I started using

None get hard under the dryer unless you add too much product uncovered.

Olaplex doesn't harden or require a dryer. Olaplex 0 and 3 work together. Please read the bottle. My stylist didn't know how to use it correctly. So....I do my treatments at home.

Yeah it doesn't harden. I had mine done by the Director level stylist at Aveda.

This ingredient: Bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate which is patented worldwide by Olaplex. The first 10 ingredients of the Curlsmith Bond Curl Salve are CONDITIONING AGENTS Like cetearyl alcohol , PROTEIN like creatine, BOTANICALS like chia seed and prickly pear extract and ANTI-STATIC SMOOTHERS like Polyquaternium-10. If you follow Cyn you know she talks about the bonds in the hair. The bonds hold the keratin together. Olaplex targets and strengthens the disulfide bonds. The salt and hydrogen bonds are different. Other "bond" products target Keratin protein.

So would 0 be the same as making my hair damp or should I still dampen my hair before the 0?

The directions from 0 are different. Follow the directions on the bottle, it tells you exactly what to do and when to use 0 and 3. Just don’t use either product if you haven’t shampooed in months or weeks without cleansing your hair first.

I have my vague suspicion that #0 is #1 prepped with the water (as directed in the #1 bottle instructions) but I'm just speculating 😆

Diffrence between aphogee and oloplex

Aphogee is a protein treatment, OLAPLEX is a bond builder and multiplier.

@@IamCynDollso aphogee strengthened the bonds and oloplex rebuilds the broken bonds, does that mean if I use oloplex my hair is going to be a lot curlier, if my hair is healthy with it build new bonds can I use it on my natrul hair with no color

No aphogee does nothing to the bonds it’s fixing the cuticle. The two products are no comparison whatsoever. Aphogee is a protein treatment, it’s apples and oranges. KZfaq put them in the same box but the two products are nothing alike. One is a molecule to repair bonds and one strengths the cuticle. It’s not compatible in anyway.

@@honey4727 I'd say listen to the look and feel of your hair and how it behaves. I follow the instructions on the Aphogee website but I have ultra-fine and high porosity hair. If you have coarse strand thickness and low porosity, you have to be careful with how much protein you apply to your hair. Now again you can follow the instructions on the Olaplex website but again I only shampoo once a week not 2 or 3 times. However, my hair is just weak from internal factors not damaged from external factors. I used 0 and 3 once in a month and I used 4-8 every week mixed with my other products for my scalp, protein and moisture balance. My split ends have disappeared in 6 weeks post trim. I normally have very bad ends by week 6 but now after using the Olaplex there is nothing to trim.

I don’t give henna application directions sorry. Please know that henna only leaves the surface of your hair shaft when you shampoo your hair. Henna lives permanently inside the hairs cortex until it’s extracted out. You can still use OLAPLEX but Henna is a nightmare to extract.

I’m not a professional, but I have been using Olaplex #’s 0,3,5,7, & now #8 which came in the mail today. I also do occasional henna gloss treatments on my hair. I’ve been using this olaPlex system for the last 2+ years, and my waist length hair is thriving.

@@bdm72257 I suspected as much. My stylist did Olaplex 1 and 2 one me and while my hair feels great I have a sinking suspension that it could be better if it wasn't for this damn henna that wrecked my hair. It's 100% henna too. Can't wait to cut this mess out.
