There is only one pitcher that I have literally watched every pitch this year and that is Paul Skenes. He is the most exciting pitcher in baseball right now and the fans want to see him there. I bet if you had a fan poll, he would be starting the game.

MLB would be foolish not to include him. He's good enough, and they really need to push young talent and get the public interested if they want to increase the sport's popularity. Also, and some people seem to forget this when talking about him - he's only played in 8 games. I guess because of the attention he gets people treat him differently. He's just getting started and he's going to get even better.

You know I'm going to say 100% he is. Honestly his ability to battle when he gets into trouble or doesn't have his A1 game is very impressive. I thought he really was struggling to locate some of his off speed but he worked around it. Shoutout to Max though his curve ball was diving and making pirates look awful in a few big moments. Like someone else said there is only one pitcher I've cleared my schedule multiple times to see pitch and that's Skenes. When he does get going it's really something else.

Skenes should be an all star and start and at least be the first one out of the pen, if he isnt, I wouldnt wanna be the team facing him first game back after the break and see him when he's angry.

If a pitcher doesn’t have his “best stuff” and still does extremely well in a game, I think it’s safe to say he’s something special.

Four starts ago when the Skenes all-star question was starting to be discussed, I was a pretty strong no. But at this point I think it's undeniable that he has to be in. The better (only?) question now is does he start? It's definitely what fans want.

I think he's an All-Star. I can't believe MLB didn't prioritize Skenes vs. Fried nationally this weekend. It wasn't his or Fried's best game, but they showed their stuff.

I lean no on Aroldis Chapman as a Hall of Famer, but it's an interesting discussion given his all-time great fastball and K/9.

MLB should add 2 to 3 more all star spots solely for top rookies. They need to grow their game with young stars. Put them all display in the all star game

For me yes hes an All Star, as far as the starts are concerned its no concern to me. I get anything can happen in like 4 starts, but I doubt id see anything from him in those starts that would change my mind negatively. The discipline is just as impressive as the metrics, even the little stuff like battery and umpire communication ive liked some of the things ive seen so far. When you can battle it out with the likes of the Dodgers, Braves, Rays, and look like a pro thats all I need to know at this point of the season. If were taking the name, ages, and team biases away from players i dont see too many pitchers you could even include before him this year.

Ragans would’ve went 5 or 6 with only giving up 3 runs but there was a rare foul ball home run that hit the base of the netting about 5 feet outside of the foul pole and was still called a home run after replay. Absolutely terrible. Replay showed it outside of the pole, not making any contact with the pole and still home run. Why have replay if it doesn’t matter and the umpires want to show that they “are always right”
