Who wants to see Petra? Have you ever been here? 🇯🇴❤️

I love Petra and would really love to visit one day...normally I don't watch vlogs as most of the vloggers are self lovers and keep the camera focused on their face while they tallk ( they can still talk but show less of themselves and more of the content) so a few glimpses here and there of the location is not enough for me, I tried watching yours and liked the fact that you spend less camera time on yourself, got a few very good shots of this incredible site!

I though the part in the canyon was dedicated to the dead's tombs and temples and the city was outside of the canyon. Anyway what has been done there is beautiful. And you have been adopted by a dog. 🙂He is cute. Thanks for the visit.

I will always think of Indian Jones when I see Treasury. Amazing to see the rest of it as well especially the monastery! I haven't travelled as much but I did get to touch Mayan ruins in Mexico and Stonehenge in England many years ago and it was amazing, so I know what you mean about touching these places. I was there last month. It truly is amazing!! Checked out Little Petra then started from outback track hiked to the Monastery and then to the Treasury. Unfortunately I started late in the morning with my hike, by the time i reached the Treasury it was busy and crowded. Love that you got there early - best way to start exploring.

Quran chapter 26 Verses 140 - 159 ( "And your Lord is certainly the Almighty, Most Merciful. The people of Thamûd rejected the messengers, when their brother Ṣâliḥ said to them, “Will you not fear ˹Allah˺?, I am truly a trustworthy messenger to you. So fear Allah, and obey me. I do not ask you for any reward for this ˹message˺. My reward is only from the Lord of all worlds. Do you think you will be ˹forever˺ left secure in what you have here: amid gardens and springs, and ˹various˺ crops, and palm trees ˹loaded˺ with tender fruit; to carve homes in the mountains with great skill? So fear Allah, and obey me. And do not follow the command of the transgressors, who spread corruption throughout the land, never setting things right.” , They replied, “You are simply bewitched! You are only a human being like us, so bring forth a sign if what you say is true.” Ṣâliḥ said, “Here is a she-camel. She will have her turn to drink as you have yours, each on an appointed day. And do not ever touch her with harm, or you will be overtaken by the torment of a tremendous day.” But they killed her, becoming regretful. So the punishment overtook them. Surely in this is a sign. Yet most of them would not believe. And your Lord is certainly the Almighty, Most Merciful.") Quran Chapter 11 Verses 61-68 (" And to the people of Thamûd We sent their brother Ṣâliḥ. He said, “O my people! Worship Allah. You have no god other than Him. He ˹is the One Who˺ produced you from the earth and settled you on it. So seek His forgiveness and turn to Him in repentance. Surely my Lord is Ever Near, All-Responsive ˹to prayers˺.” They argued, “O Ṣâliḥ! We truly had high hopes in you before this.1 How dare you forbid us to worship what our forefathers had worshipped? We are certainly in alarming doubt about what you are inviting us to.” He responded, “O my people! Consider if I stand on a clear proof from my Lord and He has blessed me with a mercy from Him. Who could help me against Allah if I were to disobey Him? You would only contribute to my doom. And O my people! This she-camel of Allah is a sign for you.1 So leave her to graze ˹freely˺ on Allah’s earth and do her no harm, or a swift punishment will overtake you!” But they killed her, so he warned ˹them˺, “You have ˹only˺ three ˹more˺ days to enjoy life in your homes-this is an unfailing promise!”, When Our command came, We saved Ṣâliḥ and those who believed with him by a mercy from Us and spared them the disgrace of that Day. Surely your Lord ˹alone˺ is the All-Powerful, Almighty. And the ˹mighty˺ blast overtook the wrongdoers, so they fell lifeless in their homes, as if they had never lived there. Surely Thamûd denied their Lord, so away with Thamûd!" ) God left there ruins as a sign for those who wish to reflect upon the truth, this is the path of the truthful servants.
