Jesus. 335 Mary. 1 Mary was so important to the apostles when they were writing their letters to the New Testament churches that she was only mentioned once after Jesus had ascended to heaven. (Acts 1:14) Jesus on the other hand was named 335 times. Mary was clearly unimportant to the early apostles. She has no role in salvation. She was an honorable young woman from Nazareth. She obeyed God.

1. Scripture does **not** teach the idea that we need to send anyone for us to the throne of God to ask for grace or mercy, anyone including Mary. On the contrary, we are warmly invited to approach God's throne. Hebrews 4:14-16 ESV - *Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.* 2. That little word "until" shows that Mary was not perpetually a virgin. And, yes, it is in the original Greek. Grammar is not complex. Matthew 1:24-25 ESV - *When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.* 3. Jesus exalted the word of God and obedience to it above his family members. Matthew 12:46-50 ESV - *While he was still speaking to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, asking to speak to him. But he replied to the man who told him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.* This is a companion passage to Matthew 12. Luke 11:27-28 ESV - *As he said these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!” But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”* 4. She herself glorified her savior. She was not a sinless person. Luke 1:47 ESV - *and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,*

@@boltsfan9939 Mary has died, there is no Scriptural source for the Bodily Assumption and any attempt to talk to the dead is sorcery, the same applies to the saints, so if you pray to Mary or a saint, you are attempting sorcery and thus heresy. Mary is only named once after the ascension of Christ in all the Scriptures, the Apostles did not consider her even remotely relevant.

Don't confuse the mixing of the once native americans culture mixing with Catholicism. That's like me mixing the LGHDTV of protestantism. If you want to accuse Catholics for the art of the saints have at it, we debate that all day, but to bring up the native american culture of Mexicans where they are doing weird Aztec or Mayan rituals is very ingenuine of Catholicism. Basically straw manning. Y'all can be better than that.

All doctrine unique to the Catholic church is unnecessary if Christ's sacrifice is complete. If Christ's sacrifice was perfect and he took away all sin past, present, and future than... Penance has no purpose. Purgatory has no point. Absolution is unnecessary. Need I go on? Yes, Christ's sacrifice on the cross is complete and Final. The Bible confirms this repeatedly. Flee this Anti-church. Trust In Christ Alone. Trust in him alone like you would trust a parachute. You can add nothing to a parachute by flapping your arms. Just as you can add nothing to the perfect and finished sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for all of your sins. Do not cheapen the saviors work by adding mans tradition on to it. Find a real church that does not withhold drinking from the cup from its lowly non-priest membership.❤ *Honest questions are welcome.* ❤❤❤

I do trust in Him alone and if he left instructions and they are in Scripture, who am I to question God? Satan is the one trying to take away our grace and many people allow him to do just that! I was a Catholic for the first fourteen years of my life. I later discovered the issues with Catholicism. When I pray to God or Jesus I dial direct. Mary is not the answering service for God. She will not hear your prayers, neither will the saints. As you stated regarding the rich man and Lazarus there is no communication. Neither is Mary the Queen of heaven as the Catholics like to call her. The Catholic church in Rome is getting further and further away from the gospel to the point of heresy. Many Catholics in the United States cannot believe some of the statements coming from the Pope. Hello new world religion.

@jeremiahrowesr.3130
@jeremiahrowesr.3130 10 ай бұрын
@@wordforever117well the only one to answer your prayers is Christ Jesus alone, so there's your answer no one else is able to answer your prayers or give your prayers to God other than Jesus Christ alone as the Bible has clearly stated. Nowhere in the Bible either does it state that Mary is sinless the Roman Catholic church has made this up, whenever I have debates with Roman Catholics I just had one recently, whenever I have debates with Roman Catholics. I always ask them to read Romans 3:23 they don't read it they run away from it kind of like when they run away from 1st John 8:10 they run away from that too. So in the Bible Jesus is the only one to answer your prayers. He's the only mediator between God and man period. And the fact that the Roman Catholic Church they say all we don't worship Mary okay but do you venerate her? Yeah but we don't worship her, even though the word venerate when you look up the word venerate the word warship is in the word venerate. The Bible says that were only supposed to venerate God in him alone, by revealing him by adoring him by worshipping him by serving him by praising him by respecting him, we do not do this to marry at all not at all. Mary was only the mother of Jesus that was it she was nothing more, furthermore know where in the Bible does it say anywhere that she was a perpetual virgin ever, the other thing is is that the Bible says that Joseph waited to have marital relations with Mary until after Jesus was born, so until after Jesus was born they had marital relations afterward not before. So like I said Jesus Christ is the only one to answer your prayers, if you don't agree with that then you have clearly rejected the Bible. Jesus never told his apostles to bow down before his mother and send prayers to his mother he never said that, Jesus said pray him my name and I will answer all your prayers, why because Jesus is God incarnate he's the only one to intercede our prayers and we're the only ones to pray to him because he's the only one capable to answer our prayers.

Yeah & the Catholic Church being the true ancient Church established on the apostles & prophets, has the authority to develop doctrine but also a teaching or practice can have always existed but not have been given a title or even made Dogma. No Salvation outside the Church has developed over time which is a good thing for many & was held because Catholicism was the only Christian Church so any outside or committing heresy would be condemned...onto today & the Church says that only if one knows the Catholic Church is the true Church of Christ & still denies or refuses to be in communion w/ it, is outside of salvation, so obviously most Protesters are not seen this way, its just all they've known, but to add, even dissension or schism is sin per scripture. The best solution which is nowhere in sight, is to be one as the Son & the Father, our Lord & God are One, just as Christ prayed in John 17

Does that mean that Judaism is correct and Christianity is wrong? Does that mean that only the Jews know how to properly interpret the Old testament? No, of course not. @@icxcnika7722 Its not that they are afraid to debate EO. That's not their focus. I know James has addressed EO error regularly. Its more of a challenge to debate RCC due to concepts like prevenient grace and definitions of grace. Now EO is becoming more of a problem as people are trying to return to a concept of originality in our wicked age. The issue with pursuing EO is it lacks original intent, seen in the early church fathers. Debating EO is quite easy. EO is the most clear example of works-based dogmatic idolatry, even surpassing that of Roman Catholicism in many respects. EO attaches iconographic traditions to grace and salvation itself, similar to the RCC position on the eucharist. Just on the surface EO is heterodox since there is absolutely no scriptural basis for this behavior. Instead of scripture, EO is sola ecclesia, where to answer basic theological & by extension soteriological questions it leans more on councils that, like the RCC, became more heterodox as time went on. Similar to what we see on other large denominations today but at a much fater rate and on a much smaller scale. Salvation is by grace through faith lest anyone boast. The question that needs to be asked is strip everything away... what was the original intent.

However, he made very amateurish mistakes in this video regarding Catholic theology, and I'm not even a Catholic myself, however as an outside observer even I can recognize when someone is misrepresenting the other side, he says he wants to be fair and charitable to Catholics and their views however he rarely does that when he redefines and excludes information that would otherwise be damaging to his own position, and when called out on these selective tactics he never responds.

I have had more productive dialogue with straight up atheists on spiritual issues than I have with hardcore Catholics on this particular issue. I had two online people cut me off and never speak to me again just for trying to discuss it. And these were friends, so I was trying to be careful how I said things. I never expected the reaction I got. I was caught completely off guard. I thought we were just having a friendly discussion. They got angry and refused to further engage. They instantly cut me off. So who - or what - IS receiving those prayers?

Mary in scripture: 1.

Don't get me, I am NOT a Catholic but your religion is nothing more than the Catholic teachings with slight variations from theirs. Baptists say yeah we believe in the trinity too but we don't pray or worship saints so we're gonna do things our way and the Methodist and Protestants and Lutherans and Evangelist all of them are followers of The Catholic churches. And again they're a leftover remnant of the Holy Roman empire and the majority of them were pagans. Constantine was for sure and he did give a damn about Jesus or Christianity. He just wanted to end the whole discussion because he was bored with it and again he didn't care. So your basically following a pagan belief. @matthewandrewes5939
@matthewandrewes5939 25 күн бұрын
You disagree with what Durbin is saying because you don’t understand the gospel. I’ll show you the short way and the long way. Quickly by way of two questions: (1) do you glory in the gospel? Or to put it another way, if asked by an unbeliever, what the gospel is, would you be able to answer him/her with confidence, joy, and glory in Christ that you were sharing the good news of Jesus with that person? (2) Would your gospel sound like Paul’s gospel? (For there is no other gospel.) And like Paul, would you glory in the cross of Christ as endeavored to explain this wonderful news? Is it wonderful to you?? The long way: James’s commands in ch. 2 and Jesus’s command from the sermon on the mount at the end of Matt. 5 - “be perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect” - both make the same point: we never have a license to sin, and we ought to always work righteousness (by walking in the Spirit). In the two verses immediately preceding v.10, James says in essence, “You’re doing well if you love your brother as yourself” (v.8) and then in the next verse, something along the lines of “As soon as you commit sin [he mentions the sin of partiality, but it could be any other sin], you’ll be convicted by the law as a transgressor”. One of the takeaways here is that God’s law is utterly impartial and makes no distinction between believer and unbeliever; moreover, it shows no mercy at all but makes all of us guilty before God, and not slightly guilty, but entirely - for as James points out, if any person is guilty of breaking God’s law in one part, that person is actually guilty of breaking it entirely. It’s therefore implicit that all of us - without exception - is deserving of hell. Jeff Durbin is actually making an entirely reasonable point here: you don’t have any hope of getting justified by your adherence to God’s law - because if you transgress, even in just one part, you’ve broken it entirely. Moreover, if we’re honest with ourselves, we’ll say like James’s does “all of us fall short in many ways” (James 3:2). Now to drive the point home, I’ll say the following: James continues by talking about the importance of not just talking Christian talk but also walking the Christian walk, eg not just saying you trust in Christ but actually trusting in him, for if you really trust in him you will do his works. Jesus did the same when he warned the Jews who claimed to be children of Abraham that if they were in fact Abraham’s children, they would do his works. But what was Abraham’s work?? Abraham didn’t just say empty words about trusting God, he trusted him so much that he was ready to offer his own son as a sacrifice because he was trusting that God would raise him from the dead (Heb. 11:19). Next James mentions an entirely different law from the law of God: the law of liberty. He says this: “So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under the law of liberty.” James’s point here is that believers should speak and act like those who are going to be judged by the law of liberty - a law that shows mercy; he then warns them that if they don’t show mercy to others, mercy will not be shown to them, but then he follows it with “mercy triumphs over judgment”. Catholic brothers and sisters, I ask you: why did James remind them that mercy triumphs over judgment? Was it to encourage them to grit their teeth and grudgingly forgive everyone that they might win their salvation through works?? Or was to bring their minds to sweet remembrance of God mercy on them for Jesus’s sake?? And now I ask you, Catholic brothers and sisters, again, if we’re not getting saved because of good works, yet being saved necessarily involves doing good works and persevering faithfully to the end, what do we mean??? Only that “a good tree cannot bear bad fruit and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit” (Matthew 7:18), or to put it another way “you must be born again” or yet again, “I am what I am by the grace of God”. Jeff’s point, my point, and the point of every good Protestant is you better not try to claim credit for those works!! You dare not boast of your works before God, for “Abraham had whereof to boast but not before God”. Surely, we’re not saved at all because of our works, for the scripture says: “But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,” ‭‭Titus‬ ‭3‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭ESV‬‬ bible.com/bible/59/tit.3.4-5.ESV Not because of works done in righteousness… Surely, it’s only the blood of the Lamb that redeems me from my sin; surely, it’s only the Christ’s drinking up the whole of God’s cup of wrath for me on Calvary that I shall obtain a pardon - shall I dare to add anything to Christ’s glorious sufferings for me? God forbid!!! None of this is to suggest that faith without works is anything - NO! It’s not, and the reformers are clear about it. It’s dead: we know it, and you know it. But to trust in your works - which is exactly what the natural heart of man is inclined to do, and exactly what the many “believer” Jews were tempted to do (see Galatians) - to trust in your own works is to severe yourself from God and his glorious gospel. The Law of God forbid the Jews from mingling fabrics together for a garment: “Neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woolen come upon thee” (Lev. 19:19). So, shall you dare to clothe yourself with your righteousness and Christ’s? Surely, if you are a true believer you will do works of righteousness, but you dare not hope in them or attribute them to yourself, but to God alone as Paul did: But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all - yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. (1 Cor. 15:10) And… ““Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. And this is the name by which he will be called: ‘The Lord is our righteousness.’” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭23‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬

The Sanctification of the Holy Spirit upon our lives after we are Saved is works to them. Seriously it's absolutely ridiculous. They have a surface level of Scripture. Revelation doesn’t say people in heaven can listen to millions of simultaneous prayers, comprehend them, and relay the best ones to God. Praying to saints is based on the premise that their empathy is superior to that of Christ who died for us and the Father who is not a deadbeat dad. There’s a word for denigrating God. Scripture commands believers to “come boldly to the throne of grace” (God, not Mary). To bypass God is disobedience. But that is a secondary issue. God’s grace is a gift. Trying to earn grace through ceremonies, membership, refraining from sins, doing good, or roasting in purgatory insults the Giver. When you insult the Giver, you reject both the Giver and the gift.

Actually if you were to visit a mainstream Christian Church and speak to people who are faithful to the teaching of the Apostles, you would find in practise that Catholics do *NOT* worship Mary. You're going to a secular dictionary to have you define a theological term? Ironic, because even Webster doesn't define veneration as worship in the ancient Christian understanding. The next time you find a secular definition of veneration that includes the aspect of SACRIFICE, then you can claim Catholics worship Mary, till then Catholics are justified in asserting that protestants don't understand true worship. If the veneration of Mary looks like "worship" to prots, (prayers, songs, hymns) then it's because you only venerate God.

That’s a bit scary, to think Catholics are worshiping Mary in the same way they worship God! I thought the prayers to Mary only asked for her to pray for us, having being Jesus’ mother and also the bride of the Holy Spirit. I thought people only prayed to her given her status…or something like that. I never heard she was incarnate, only human, but purely holy…so that she would be worthy to carry God in her womb…like the arc was used to carry the Word of God in the Old Testament. Bizarre. I am wondering, when St Luke sought out Mary’s testimony in his gospel, why did he care so much about his mother? And I always wonder, why did Mary instigate his ministry at the wedding at Cannan? Why would Jesus listen to her, even after he informed her that it was not his time? And then I often wonder why he always referred to her as’ma’am’ , when everyone translates it as’woman’. You know…like, ‘woman’ this and ‘woman’ that, which sounds condescending, yet originally was ‘ma’am.’ Seems God must really hate this woman who He sent Himself to honor (a commandment that He could not break, less not be Holy himself), and to be born unto if it’s so horrible for us to honor as well. I am so confused. So what do you say, did Jesus hate it when people honored what He Himself honored? I guess it makes sense. I am just confused as to why Mary was referred to as ‘Full of Grace” if God thought we should despise her so much. That’s my sticking point. So difficult, all this. But I seek to learn. Tell me more.

What I've done in my own catholic family is point out the glaring deceptions and blasphemies like the Pope use if titles that belong to only God, but also that the pope has a giant three0tiered bejeweled crown - not to mention all the obscene ill gotten wealth that fills the Vatican. They didn't. The books that the RCC includes were never holy scriptures to begin with. So, they weren't scripture to begin with - protestants didn't do anything except observe hat fact. Have you actually read those ''deuterocanonical books'? Because they do not provide Rome's apologists with any real backing to their arguments. Some of those beliefs come from gnostic sources as well. *Christmas Celebrated in Heaven and Earth and the Christmas Tree!* For the last 150 years Sabbatarians have been loudly proclaiming, Christ's birthday is never celebrated in Scripture. You are now going to find that not only is Christ Birthday celebrated! It is celebrated both in Heaven and on earth. Luke records that God sent his angel to proclaim this message: Luke 2:9And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you *good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people* , . 11For unto you is born *THIS DAY* in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." The Very Day of Christ birth is declared to be a day of "good tidings and great joy" in Scripture. And it is God Almighty that sends the Angel to declare it! Notice the words that the the angel of the Lord was sent to them to proclaim, "Good tidings of *GREAT JOY, WHICH SHALL BE TO ALL PEOPLE* " Unto you is born *THIS DAY* , in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord". What annoys the heck out of Sabbatarians is that Christ's birthday causes every people on every continent of the world to sing "Glory to God in the Highest" and "Christ our Saviour is born" . But thus, the scripture is fulfilled as promised, "GREAT JOY SHALL BE TO ALL PEOPLE. They wonder why God couldn't just leave Christ for some exclusive Jewish Christian group, why did He have to make Christ to be "Great Joy to ALL PEOPLE" all the nations! The GREAT JOY is for ALL people, on the day of Christ's birth. That is what Christians celebrate the Great Joy along with all people, which is the birth of Christ the Lord. But not only was it to be "Good tidings of Great Joy *”FOR A ALL PEOPLE”* But the Heavenly Host of Angels also rejoiced "that day" as it is written, "13And* suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God* , and saying, 14Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Instead rejoicing with the Angels and *"all people"* , on *"THIS DAY"* some have decided to rather make up excuses why Christ birth shouldn't be celebrated, though scripture says quite the contrary. To respond to those who will say that Dec.25th is a pagan day, I answer that Christ is the creator of "all things" all the days of the week are created by him and He sustains all things. Christ owns 7 days a week 365 days a year. Col.1 says in verse 16, "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, " The Sabbatarians say God would never let Christ be born on a day Pagans celebrated. It is not the Pagans which own the days, it is Christ who owns *"all the days"* The Pagans only misused the days. Christ returned the days which were abused back to the RIGHTFUL OWNER, GOD HIMSELF. God has done this with many things both past in present. He takes pagans and TRANSFORMS them to Christians. *As to regards to the Christmas tree,* it is a symbol of the *Tree of Life* not anything pagan. Moreover, The Cross of Christians is a symbol of Eternal life. In the book of Revelation, Chapter 22 we read: 1And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, *was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.* *The ornaments on the tree represent the 12 manner of fruits and the healing of the nations* . The Armstrong groups need to get over their incessant Jewish Pharisaical obsession with finding evil, where no evil exists in Christianity and Jewish fable. Well wrote the Apostle Paul concerning these matters in Titus 1:14Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and *commandments of men, that turn from the truth.* 15Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; *but even their mind and conscience is defiled.* Only a defiled Pharisee's conscience would reject the worship of Christ on ANY DAY, in favor of being *"holier than thou"* in some exclusive Jewish group. That is why it's not an official title of Mary. Co-Mediatrix is also one of those things that is still debated heavily. The Church of Christ will figure it out. In the meantime I will still accept her as my Mother as Jesus gave Her to the most beloved disciple of his. I believe that I am a beloved disciple and as we are adopted into Jesus' family we have a mother. You can go directly through Jesus. He is the one mediator to God the Father. As for Mediation of prayers. Whether she or any saint can hear our prayers even though they are in different languages. We know they are in Heaven. John in Revelation was seeing things from Heaven. John in Heaven could hear the prayers of the faithful. He saw those in heaven praying and offering prayers for those on earth. It wouldn't be farfetch'd to say that John a creature experienced this and therefore it's not farfetch'd to say that Mary experiences this in heaven.

But, they can't and that's how they come up with so many conflicting and even bizarre doctrines, condemning themselves. Once a Protestant opens their mouth and starts to tell you what they THINK the Bible says, they are admitting they do NOT believe in the Bible alone. The Protestants use and abuse the bible to rebel against authority, and therefore, God sends them strong delusion that they should believe a lie. Study the lesson well, which I gave from the scriptures regarding 1Cor. 10 and you will see how that Protestantism is exactly like those who rebelled in the wilderness and were rejected of God. >

I suppose you believe all who disagree with the RCC are Protestants? I'm simply a Bible Believing Christian and I hold to no denomination and I believe the RCC is an apostate church with unsound teachings. The Word of God can stand alone without incorporating false church doctrines or distorted man made traditions. Obviously, it's The book of God and it should be taught so that people have a greater understanding of the Word. There is nothing wrong with seeking better understanding from those who are more knowledgeable of the Scriptures but you should read it for yourself. The average person can read and comprehend the Bible and they should symbolically feed on the Word of God every day because it is profitable for doctrine, correcting, reproof and instruction in righteousness. Many of the teachings of the RCC are not found in the Scriptures but I suppose that is why RCC hold on to uninspired books that teach heresy's. If you did a simple Google search of Errors in the Apocrypha you may be surprised how ridiculously inaccurate the Apocrypha is. My dear, no one on Earth believes Catholics think Mary is God, so to even start off that way, proves you are not up to date on WHY we are so violently opposed to your mariology. It is because the RCC has crossed over into idolatry. True Christians know that the Mary of Catholicism is most certainly NOT the Mary of the Bible, so kindly quit kidding yourself. The TRUE Mary would tell you not to honor her in any ROMAN CATHOLIC sense because we are told NOT to think about men above that which is written (1 Cor 4:6). But the RCC has done JUST THAT, and is precisely what happens when the Bible is thrown out as being the sole rule of faith. So fasten your seatbelt while I show you an act of mercy and debunk your anti-christian mariology beliefs right here and now. 1). The catechism says to bring all your cares to HER (CCC 2677). THAT IS A LIE, and contrary to us being told to "bring all your cares to HIM, for he careth for you" (1 Peter 5:7). 2). Catholics pray the repetitious and obnoxious rosary, thinking Mary has the attribute of omniscience. THAT IS A LIE. We read, "You ALONE know the hearts of men" (2 Chron 6:30-1; 1 Kings 8:39). 3). The catechism says the Eucharist was instituted in commemoration of Mary (1370). THAT IS A BOLD FACED LIE and categorically unbiblical. 4). The catechism says Mary is "intrinsic to Christian WORSHIP" (971). THAT IS A LIE. It is categorically unbiblical as well. 5) The Pope proclaims, (in #18 below), "there is nothing more sweet and nothing dearer, than to WORSHIP, venerate, invoke and PRAISE with ardent affection the Mother of God conceived without stain of original sin" catholic.net/op/articles/1854/cat/1193/fulgens-corona.html THAT IS A LIE, and is the polar opposite to Luke 4:8: 'Worship the Lord your God and him only you shall serve." 6). The book, "The Glories of Mary" by "Doctor of the Church", Liguori, has gone through over 800 editions, so it is without question an accurate picture of Catholic belief and practice. It may be found on-line in its entirety. Here are some quotes, ALL OF WHICH are (yep, you guessed it) categorically unbiblical, and thus, straight from the pit of hell. "She, having offered to God, HER MERITS FOR THE SALVATION OF ALL MEN, and God, as a favor, has accepted them WITH the merits of Jesus Christ". "She effected our salvation in common with Christ"."God pardons all sinners who place themselves under her protection"."So entirely do I trust in thee [Mary] that if my eternal salvation were in my own hands, I would wish to place it in thee". "The merit of [Christ's] blood will not be applied to me if thou does not recommend me to God"."Oh blessed virgin, to thee it belongs to bestow the merits of this blood on whomsoever it may please thee". All of this is COMPLETE nonsense.Hence, there is no doubt that Catholics have been sent "strong delusion, that they may believe a lie" (2 Thess 2) precisely because they REFUSE to trust in the impeccable merits of Christ ALONE. Good day.

I'm sorry, but as a Protestant you cannot claim anything is a heresy. You have no Church to take your claim to, as is written in Matthew 18:17. This is how heresy had been dealt with since the very beginning. @@TWD_Rick839 You’ll have to define the word “mediator” and how it’s used in this context to show that you are correct. Because if “mediator” means intercessor in prayer, then it would be a non sequitur to say that Jesus is the only mediator because he is the only one who ransomed himself for all. In fact, it would also render the first paragraph of 1 Timothy Chapter 2 nonsensical. And I’m sorry but it is unbiblical for you, yourself, to claim anybody is a heretic because you read the Bible. Sure, scripture is “…profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,” and yes, by reading scripture it equips all of us Christians for “good works.” It is biblical for you and I to refer to it, to help prove doctrine (as I am doing now). But nowhere does scripture say that you can treat another as a “publican or tax collector” because you’ve read the Old and New Testament. Jesus said the only way anyone can do that is if they “tell it to the Church” (Matt. 18:17) which Paul and Timothy were authorities in during the writing of 2 Timothy 3:16. Amen?

Heretics throughout history were considered to be (and are supposed to be considered) the same as the “publicans and tax collectors” of Jesus’ era. I urge you to follow your Bible. Because the only BIBLICAL way for you or I to know on Earth what is heretical (and who is a heretic) is by taking the issues in question to the Church (Matt. 18:17) which has the binding and loosing authority given to it by Jesus (Matt. 16:18-19). One particularly circular line of reasoning re:the negation of the monarchy of JEHOVAH. Is the argument that Jesus cannot in fact be the first creation if through him all other things were created because all other things must include time and space. Apparently no creating can happen outside of time and space. Obviously the one thinking up this "defense" of the eternity of the Son needs to think some more the problem of creating outside of time would apply to any creation including time and space if these were made the first creations. There would be no here or now(as these are temporal and spatial delineations) in which any emergence of a created time or space could occur. Not to mention that a finite time and space would cancel free moral agency. In the scriptures time and space are purely abstract values that can neither be created nor destroyed . Thus there would be no need create time or space. Psalms ch.90:2NIV"Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting(olam) to everlasting(olam) you are God." Time is permanent like JEHOVAH whom it describes 1Kings ch.8:30NIV"Hear the supplication of your servant and of your people Israel when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven, your dwelling place, and when you hear, forgive." So there is an eternal place outside of the creation where JEHOVAH the unmoved mover is permanently stationed. We know that this dwelling is outside the creation because Verse 27NIV"“But will God really dwell on earth? The heavens, even the highest heaven, CANNOT contain you. " JEHOVAH CANNOT and need not enter his creation to accomplish his will. It is this fact that vindicates him as a perfect creator. Indeed that is the purpose of the manifesting of JEHOVAH's logos to vindicate JEHOVAH as creator. John ch.8:50NIV"I am not seeking glory for myself; but there is one who seeks it, and he is the judge."

I find this to be a common problem, where protestants read their own theology into the church fathers, and cherry pick church father's quotes to mean what their theology means. The fact is that those church fathers were not proto-protestants. What's left is that those to subscribe to the same beliefs found in this video have to declare a "church black-out period", in order to explain away the Ancient Faith, be it Orthodox or Roman Catholic (pre-schism). He comes as an angel of light with peace and a Bible wide open.
