In this video I talk about what might be my favourite Resident Evil game (aside from Resident Evil 4). Resident Evil 7! It was the first one I ever had the courage to finish and honestly, it's still the scariest one in the series in my opinion.

This game actually did get me into resident evil. I slept on 4 alot, so i didnt know much about the series, then gave 7 a try and loved it.

I really like 7, BUT the First Person Perspective leaves me very conflicted because on one hand it's absolutely terrifying with the camera being so close and how vulnerable you feel (Jack is a really good example of this, hell Jack is my 2nd favourite antagonist in the series right next to Albert from RE5) but on the other it makes reading distances between the player and the Enemy harder so it's a bit frustrating sometimes. Overall I'd still recommend 7 as it has some damn good survival horror with good mechanics.

I just finished the Daughters, DLC I haven't played it when it come out, and oh boy!! Let just say it had the vibe, and I found myself in an instant throw back to 2017, I felt fear like in RE 8 at the baby section. I absolutely love RE 7 it has a special place in my heart. When I finished, I just said, now this is why I loved Residnet Evil 7!!

I will probably never get the chance to play RE 7 or 8 until I get a next gen console that isn't the Switch or a new gaming laptop, but I still consider the Resident Evil 1 Remake as the scariest in the franchise. I play the game on PS3 & the game still has very intense moments, even to this day. Every decision you make in RE 1 Remake will either help you or end you. I always get tense when I see a dead zombie corpse lying around & I always worry about it turning into a crimson head. Those guys terrify me to no end. It's especially scary once you realise that you have no gasoline left to burn the bodies.

In my series playthrough I'm on Revelations 2, then only 6 stands between me and 7. Looking forward to it, I've heard so much good things.

For me 2017 is last good year for AAA survival horror coz we got RE7 and TEW2 which still 'real survival horror'. The following year just either remake or another AAA dev slapping gore and monster into action game and called it 'survival horror'. Also RE7 has the best DLC in any RE series with interesting mechanic, truly at the peak of survival horor. So much so that 'the fan' cry about it being too scary, so capcom turned it down drastically in RE8, what a shame

I got to say playing Chris hunting down Lucas in the aftermath of RE7 was one of favorite small bits ever in a video game. That DLC was so good and intense. Ethan feels too much like an incompetent rookie and the same can be said about Mia. Also I really disliked Ethan in Village he seemed to have very limited intelligence there. But I also disliked the redesigned Chris in Village he felt like a scumbag not a heroic soldier like he's known for especially in RE7. In the previous ones he looked like a steroid abuser or something with his massive boulder punching arms and in Village he looks like a lazy slob. One of my favorite quotes ever comes from Chris in Biohazard when talking to Lucas "If you are going to kill me then just kill me, but for the love of God, shut the fuck up!" What a legend it was so funny. His looks and personality were perfect in 7 I don't understand why Capcom didn't keep it. I guess too many fans complained.
