i think that roblox isn’t dying, they keep making the experience worse and worse but it was a part of so many people’s childhood and they don’t want to let it go. i myself haven’t heard of anyone quitting roblox just because the events have gotten bad, the front page games are soulless cash grabs, etc. it’s something that we find a way to live with and complain about without actually doing anything about it, and i think that’s how roblox will continue to do well numbers-wise for years to come

Honestly, I agree, Roblox has many problems and because they have become such a big company, they are more focused on other things then making good events or fixing moderation. Unfortunately, I dont think this is gonna get better any time soon, no matter how much the community complains about it.

I like his, "it's only a matter of time until they listen" attitude, this actually gives me hope that, as people stop playing, roblox will start hinting about our input, into where we should not do anything until roblox says they need help AGAIN. then we give them ideas and tell them to listen to us (that last part probably wont happen but it still is fun to think about. you have definitely gave me a new opinion on the matter! keep it up!

Various games have communities where people riot and think the developers don’t listen but there are more people that are just fine with things and don’t realize that there are issues. If Roblox wants to get even more players and an even happier community they have to fix their moderation and do events again. I remember when I had first started playing Roblox as a kid. The player base felt kind of small without the events. But the second that there was an event, the servers came to life. Players both old and new would join games to get the free items. By fixing their moderation, they’d get a FAR better reputation. Roblox can listen to their silent concurrent players all they want. But if they want more and more people to join, they need to listen to their older players. Some of them are nearing adulthood or are already grown up. Yeah sure. They aren’t little kids like Roblox is aiming for. But, since they’re older there’s a good chance that some of them would know how to make Robloxs player base get even more players. And by proxy. Earn Roblox more money.

i'd think that it is, as its that one game you want to stick close to, depending on how long you've been on the platform. and it has improved and also gotten worse over time, but people don't want to disappear as other games they've played that have possibly disappeared, so it's being kept alive by people that don't want to let go of the game they've been playing since they've been kids, or if its just a hobby they have picked up but don't want to leave. Again, it may be totally different on how other people see it, either it be from how long they've been on the platform or if its just their emotional attachment to the game itself.

As someone who used to play Roblox religiously the games been in decline for a while. I personally left a while back (due to in person school,friendships and working on my mental state.) and honestly the only thing keeping me there was royale high and even that was making me mad. I think that Roblox needs to understand how big the community is. If they can get that community to recommend the game to others and get GOOD promotion I think it will be in a better place

What happened to the times when ROBLOX was simply a platform that allowed people to show their creativity through making games, designing catalog items, simply letting players enjoy whatever was created by themselves? ROBLOX is not supposed to be used for greed over money, it's supposed to bring players together, start good friendships and have fun nonetheless.

I agree, Roblox does have a few problems within their company and etc. I'm one of those players who plays for hours a day and watch Roblox content constantly, look at the Devforums, Twitters, and more. Kreek's right, and it probably won't get better, because as said in the video, Roblox hasn't been listening to the community no matter how many players are complaining. Maybe we will get another event and hopefully Roblox will listen. It'll take a miracle but, it's worth trying. We aren't happy with events, avatar things coming out, and more. roblox has changed throughout the years,i have watched roblox content since 2014 and joined roblox in 2017. i noticed how slowly the roblox community became worse. slowly roblox stopped listening to us, i got my account hacked multiple times and roblox responded back usually after a week or 2. this is very upsetting to see roblox doesn't even care what players want anymore. they care about the profit now.

As a Roblox player that spends hours on roblox everyday. it does sometimes feel like roblox doesn't care about their community as they did before but like ea, care about the money instead what is the reason why i think for the next following months roblox will start to decrease and increase since it is summer for everyone but when it comes back to school, it will start decreasing again and Roblox should know that if they listen to their community they could end up getting more views and money by making the community happy which ends up with a higher player count and more money.

I’ve been playing roblox since 2017 and I have no problem with it. Until I saw this video, it was a pretty peaceful experience for me and i really hope that it gets better. I remember playing a lot of popular (in that time) games like for example Tree Planting Simulator. Then it had like 10k players but now it has only like 10 and number is still going down

I think that another reason why the Roblox searches are going up is the recent drama and news Roblox has been in. Due to the drama, people would obviously wonder more information about it, so they would search up “Roblox news” and google would record that since it has Roblox in it.

The thing about Roblox is that when it does something to kill itself it just attracts more players that are interested how it fell so badly, when they removed the ‘Oof’ I just stopped playing because I knew they’d go down a bad road. But then, I come back like a few months later and 200K players just becomes an average for some servers.

I don't exactly fully agree with this, the Roblox developer community (via the DevForum) have been bringing up the same issues the player community has in major announcements, some of these are big developers in which not having their presence on platform anymore would likely damage Roblox's revenue.

I think the only thing that will make Roblox aware of the problems they have and that they need to be fixed ASAP, is a full on riot. What do I mean by that? Well, on the course of a week, before the riot, is to discuss with KZfaqrs and devs that everyone needs to be part of this, and by everyone I mean as Cross from NFS Most Wanted said, *E V E R Y O N E*. Also, everyone needs to not snitch and try to cause trouble. One individual who would be 50/50 is DeeterPlays, since he is both an admin AND an KZfaqr in the star program, and after the meltdown he had during the "Roblox sueing RubbenSim case", it's a split issue, considering he could try to spread more lies or even try to take down the riot before it even started. After everyone is on board, each person needs to tell to it's community to spread the word to everyone else (including the casual players) about the problems that actually happen that they don't know and do the same with everyone else. And basically, by having more than half of the whole community complaining about the issues, the more likely they will hear and changes might be made.

yeah makes sense, i mean its not just gaming companies/platforms it is like majority of the big companies. Unless they start doing not well they don't listen to what workers and people suggestions.

Reminds me of Netflix's stocks decreasing. They pay to make shows no one watches. (kind of relates to roblox) they also failed to make resident evil. And now they're going to fail again by making some other Netflix adaptation.

I really hate to see the game go down this route. I’ve been playing since about 2013 and i remember all the fun events, games and communities where you would have to pay just to play with a fun experience. Or have to go into a game and get judged for the tiniest of things. Events almost every month, games actually listening to their fans. I wish we could go back to the way things used to be. I can see the number declining a lot by next year. And it’s a shame to see. But it is what it is I guess

Roblox has been in a steady decline since about 2017-2018 after the game really blew up. That’s what fame and money does to people/companies. They became even more lazy and cut corners.

Everything about those Updates, Events, Moderation and rthro... the thing that bothers me the most is rthro... the thing that worries me the most is that over time we might have to switch to only rthro avatars or something like that. Despite all that, Roblox is a very good game and I enjoy playing it... but as a VR Roblox player, I can't imagine VR Roblox with these Rthro heads :D

I joined back in 2019 when the last ever proper egg hunt came out. And I wouldn't be surprised if it was dying because roblox has never listened to the community plus the servers are breaking every weak so many people are quitting. ( So yes it is dying )

Since crossroad happened I started to try and play less to stay safe and I found so many other games with my friends and this made me realize there are other games I like and now I’m starting to think that this could be a positive for people who are stuck on the game like me so that you realize that there are other things like me.

I have been playing Roblox in the last 4 years, as more of a casual player. I tend to play the game about 15-30 minutes, 1 day a week at most. Mostly just benchmarking computers on the game recently. And I got to say, my experience on the game has not changed much in the past 4 years. I still like the game as much as before for the most part.

I doubt that Roblox is dying. It's the community that isn't happy on what they are doing. Roblox only cares about money. They don't care about the Roblox community anymore.

Before I used to play Roblox 24/7 everyday but now I barely come on and if I do it's only cus of my friends or just to check sum stuff other than that I don't really play , tbh this game call Nico's nextbots got me playing again for like 3 days but now I'm back to barely going on it, I watch more Roblox videos about Roblox than I actually play it

Another thing that makes the experience on Roblox worse is that some mobile devices can be really laggy and can move at a lot less frames than it should. It's been like this for years,and Roblox ignored this as well. They didn't do anything to fix it.

Personally, I don’t think Roblox themselves are dying cause now a days, Roblox is making a lot of money with their corporate stuff and events but I also agree with you that the community themselves are going down with Roblox. Roblox has changed over the years and their relationship with players is now pretty much gone. Back then we had fun stuff such as Egg Hunts and movie events and the community was also fun and happy back then. Everything was just simple back then compared to now. It’s also one of the reasons why I also miss old Roblox.

Hello kreek hope you've had a great day, I'm here to point out the obvious. Clearly roblox is dying, with all those things happening like r6 getting removed and so much exploits happening. I do believe the community is dying and taking a path in which they make us obey a style of avatar that THEY want instead of old roblox in which we had more customization choices and we had a lot more freedom to make avatar.

I am full on with Kreek here, roblox doesn't listen to us unless that bar goes down. Because all those companies only care about their cash, but I mean that makes sense because if you're a big company you need to be making money to keep it up. But on the other hand when roblox is not listening to the players that know about the game and play for hours unlike people who only play from 10-16 minutes, then their game will be going downhill because of all those complaints. I hope roblox starts to actually fix problems and listen to the community more so we can all have the nice roblox we used to love.

Honestly the first thing Roblox should do is fix their moderation, if the hacking situation doesn’t get fixed I don’t think Roblox will get better any time. The second thing which they should do is to upload and create more events. If you have more events the more people will be active and the more people play roblox. So the main thing which Roblox needs to focus is bringing a good time to whoever plays it but hackers deleting accounts is not fun and people will not play roblox ever again if this situation continues so Roblox should fix their moderation and get rid of these hackers if they still want to continue Roblox.

Honestly I aggree with you Kreek, Roblox is drifting away from the community, all my friends have quit Evan as hardcore players that literally played till midnight. They lost interest in the game as it slowly became more about the money, Evan myself, who has made countless memories and friends, is starting to consider starting a different game. It just doesent feel the same anymore I’m not giving up on it just yet, but please, if roblox sees this (which they won’t) consider listening to the community, bring back the old days 🥺

I think the main problem with roblox here is three things, first of all being events. Roblox used to be really up to date with new events and the entire roblox community enjoyed it but as of now theres really not much fun in the recent events. Second having to do with roblox not listening to their community. In my opinion if roblox actually listened to what the community is suggesting they could improve by alot and have major changes in the platform experience. Third aka the main point roblox moderation. Roblox is not always up to date with whats happening with the platform for example the crosswods incident right now. It took roblox like upto 3 days to respond (sorry if im wrong) to it. Its like they dont care about whats happening in the present with their platform. That is my opinion on why roblox is dying.
