Arsenal fans need to worry less about what other fans think of their players, especially about such a subjective, made up term that nobody can even agree on a definition of. I know every fanbase has people like that, but I feel like it's more common to see/hear it from Arsenal fans. In my opinion Saka is world class, in my opinion you need to be one of the best 2-3 players in your position in world football to be world class and for me he's a top 3 right winger in world football right now. To other people he isn't because their metric for judging what is world class is different and that's fine. It's ok to have different opinions, it doesn't devalue the player you love.

Because we hear it non-stop. Drop Saka for Palmer, move Saka to LB, Saka's overrated yada yada. Everyone piles on the Arsenal player, we've even started hearing how overrated Rice is & he can't spray passes etc. Never mind he's running around like a blue arsed fly recovering the ball, he's now crap because he can't pass like Rodri can. Did we hear this when he was at West Ham? No, we did not. But he's fair game for every idiot that can't look past tribalism now.

@@Amberle73 But my point still stands, stop caring about what people outside the club think. We had it for years with Gerrard not winning a league, from opposition fans, in the media, even former players. Or more recently we've seen players like Nunez getting slated every week for his finishing, it happens, especially when you support a big club, because there's a higher level of expectation and the media know they get reactions/clicks from it. Just drown it out. I'm not defending what is said in the media, I'm saying ignore it. Arsenal are doing really well, you've got a good young team that is getting better every year. Don't worry about what the media/pundits/jealous rival fans are saying about your club and just enjoy the ride, trust me it's much better that way.

My question to the England players is, did Paul Gascoigne? know he was going to score that classic goal against Scotland in 96, did Ronaldinho know his cross was going to beat Seaman? Did Bellingham know he was going to score an overhead kick last week? Did Saka know for sure he was going to score that great goal on Saturday? No! But sometimes you have to think...f*ck it! Have a go take a chance. I see Arsenal do the same in the games we lost, if we do take a chance on goal and it doesn't go in, keep trying! Players of today give up too easily! Games become boring and frustrating. To win anything will come down to who has the strongest mentality not ability. 🤦‍♂🤦‍♂ Glad we're through though!😆😆👍👍⚽⚽

Depends how you define world class. Saka is an excellent player. He's never going to be, say, a Ronaldinho, though. For me 'world class' is a very high bar, set aside for exceptionally few players.

Guy scored 1 goal under the whole tournament against Switzerland and disappeard against Slovenia, Slovakia, Denmark and Serbia and now he’s apparently world class. Imagine if he had scored 2 or 3 goals in the tournament, these lot would’ve compared him to Messi. He still had a bad tournament along with the whole England squad but they’ve been so lucky to meet Slovenia, Serbia, Denmark, Slovakia and Switzerland on their way to a semi final and now meeting Netherlands in the semis. That’s without a doubt the easiest way to a final in the history of The Euros/The World Cup.

Exactly, this is the issue that I've had with the praising of players. A player can be awful over a period of games that spans several weeks. Drop a goal after that bad patch, and what came before is swept under the rug. Saka is NOT a bad player, but this revised history needs to come to a firm halt. Saka needs another 3 seasons playing well against everyone, scoring decisive goals in the latter stages of competitions, and WINNING the top tier competitions domestically, in Europe, and internationally. Then, universally, he will be accepted as World-class.

Thank god, someone without rose tinted glasses. Prime Messi and Ronaldo were world class wingers, thats what world class is. Saka is great but he is not on that level and a single goal in 5 matches against the mighty Switzerland is not world class form. This is nothing against Saka, its the world class tag being thrown around as if it means nothing. 10 years ago Saka isn't even in the top 10 wingers in the world, its just the level of skilled footballers has dropped massively.

What are you saying? Saka is 22yrs of age...not near his prim yet. Aren't the signs of greatness there already? Saka's stat and record for England has overtaken even David Beckham who captained England for 15yrs years... Foden has only scored 4goals in his 3 lions shirt and Saka scored 13 goals. We can predict that Saka will win trophies sooner than later...whether for the Arsenal or his country.

Walker is the 1st to get dropped. Tripper will get dropped. Kane and Foden should get dropped but won't. Foden wasn't man managed well at all. He needed an arm around him to calm his nerves. That offside goal showed he isn't calm at all. Kane's head is gone as well but no excuses for him. He really believes England will fall apart. Only reason for him dropping back I can think he is dropping back to defend so deep. Stones has been poor. Bellingham, Saka and Mainoo have been good.

World Class Wingers (played LW or RW in a 433 or 4231) in 2014 no order. 1. Messi 2. Cristiano 3. Robben 4. Bale 5. Neymar 6. Ribery 7. Sanchez 8. Hazard 9. Reus 10.
