Beautiful… we often face problem in retention of upper denture when the digital impression of upper arch is made. Usually I follow a analog functional impression and scan that impression. Then invert in software. Your view on this….

Thanks for sharing! That would be a design issue. Digital impression is pressure free, so in the digital design you can engage much more undercuts and add selective pressure when designing to ensure suction and retention

@@wallyrenneThat’s the explanation I’ve been looking for! I thought that the reason you get better fits through a ‘truly mucostatic impression’(scan) was because you had an even pressure throughout the fit surface of the denture - like a wet mug on the table
