In this video, I share some very interesting insights from a recent research paper titled "Does Pension Automatic Enrollment Increase Debt? Evidence from a Large-Scale Natural Experiment?".
The findings of the paper suggest that policies that aimed at increasing people's retirement contributions through auto-enrollment plans can potentially have the unintended consequence of raising household debt.
