i loved playing it so much man, i remember the rivalry between botters and non botters that went on for many years. great times! Also the first unique monster i saw was uruchi, never felt the same kind of hype again!

Oh man i can't explain the excitement I had back then everytime i played SRO, specially playing it with your friends in a computer shop. and once you do the trading the excitement goes up to another level when the thieves shows up to steal your stuff.. i really miss those days!

I was once so addicted to this game as my first MMO, just the opening login screen and music alone took me back, then someone introduced me to WOW BC and then I said good bye.

I remember booting this on my first PC with a intel pentium 4 and a shity graphics card but oh boy the game ran smooth and fine, so much memories!

Silkroad gaves me chill while i playing. It doesn't matter if i am only one who plays i love roaming around.

I played Oasis in 2005. And today, I'm still playing with my friends in a private server called LastRogue Online with 140cap. Back in high school we're playing this game, and now that I got a family and so my friends, we're still playing this game. :D

me and my girl both played this game back in the day for 10 years when it had HUGE value , there were , was players all over the place , bandits and traders and hunters fought each other to the limit , the players got items from the mobs . nothing of that exisist today , and there login system fucking stinks heavely , who the hell wants to wait in a que line for entering the playground , and the login motor tells you at the menu how many players are before you in line to go in , and also said at login , if you find it taking to long to wait to get in , you can always buy a prem that takes you direct without delay time , and if you managed to login without prem , you get no items from the mobs you kill , this game has lost so much since its HUGE value years , its nothing like it was back in the day when it had VALUE , all that had to do with value is LONG LONG GONE , i think its HUGE AMAZING that this game still on the air since it has lost its value completely .

I searched on YT to bring me back to these momories. I remember that I had a puppy wolf that became an full grown pet that helped me with fights. I also had a special dark sparkling horse or something ... people I played with were jelous of that. ... Please if someone reads this, talk about the things I said here above .. I want to be brought back to that with memories or info!

This was such a great game but the grind was real. That’s really what killed it for me, I remember gapping to gain skill points rather than leveling and it was so boring. But the trading mechanic was so fun.

Silkroad Online - My first MMO - truly nostalgic game

I tried to get on the game about a year ago(early\mid '23. I jad a long weekend and was feeling nostalgic. Had it all downloaded etc and spent 3 days trying to get on a server. There seemed to only be 6 or so of them and always full. Found a few servers you could pay a membership fee to play on, but i was NOT about to do that. 🥺😫 Completely bummed. I miss this game.

I played on high school. First i buyed horse scrolls for 1200 and sell them near stable in town in stall for 10000. Instantly got 500k and buyed all sos som sosun stuff in town :D Later selling 1 potion with description of stack of 1000 potions. Than i got like 10-20mil gold in few days. Ppl hated me and reporting to gms. But i was fully equiped with high end stuff

I remember I logged in a week before news of a ban of inactive accounts….i still got banned. My SOS shield n armor set gone! I reinstalled few years ago and found out like 90% were bots! The popular spots like bandit tiger den and others were a ghost town… on top of it all the inflation was so bad I couldn’t afford anything and didn’t get a single good drop.

Tiger Girl has appeared on Tiger Mountain. My fav game I started in 2005, spent bunch of money on it. built 3 different chars, 1st was Glavie 104 lvl. Then Staff full SON +9 set 110 lv. When I was building Glavie it was 80 lvl cap. Then it increased to 90 , then 110. and 140 I guess. Never played since 2012.

Spend a good amount of time in this game. I remember lots of rain time, interesting beasts and a mission where you had to protect a moving caravan from point a to b and these thieves would appear attacking you. I think it was also pvp, not sure. Glaive users had this weird short nuke attack. Really liked farming things and the sparkles on weapons. I also played R.O.S.E online which was very cartoony. Then came Perfect World Intertational where you could exchange real money for ingame currency, gear and weapon molds and upgrades. It could be one of the first pay to win mmorpg's. I have to say though, the territorial pvp encounters were EPIC. Two huge armies going straigh at eachother. Dabbled in some Guild Wars 1 and the expansions and some other minor mmorpg's. Some dont exist anymore like wild star and tabula rasa.

The game that I learned about bots. The game was great till they changed the currency system and gave everyone sos weapons. It was amazing to drop a sos som weapon glowing. After the update you got one at lvl1. I was a huge trader back then and had huge caravan runs with hunters and thieves chasing us. It was the one and only trading system that I love and never found again.

For some reason when i tried the game now automatically level ups all force mastery, fire ice and lightning, im trying to play blade/glavie and fire as force but cant anymore what about the attack pets like wolf ??? Great game, doesn't really hold up completely, too many private servers with their own weird twists on things. While I am not against the extra added stuff like trivia and events and different competitive games, I don't agree with a lot of things. I wish they would make a new version of the same game but with modern graphics but all the same areas and weapons and skills, alchemy system ect. I think it would be amazing.

If you want to have fun with Silkroad in 2023, you are better off with a Private Server that fits your taste, since the official servers are ruined by greed and neglect. I recently started on Project65 - a server with 70 cap (currently at 50 cap but gets increased every 1-2 month) and I am having a blast. No bots, no p2w (you earn silk by doing quests and jobs) but everything else is like back in 2008.

This game was my favorite game when i was a kid when you were still clueless, now i wouldn't touch it with a pitchfork, even the login is pay to win, no to mention the unhuman grind it.

And there were some Collect 50 from this, and i had to kill about 500+ that i had the 50 from them.... it was rly annoooooying. But until that i loved that.

What I don't understand is this game literally just merged 4 servers into 1, where all of those servers had queue times, and now you literally can't play any of the servers unless you queue for 4+ hours or you buy silk to get instant access. It literally is Pay just to play the game now.
