I was saved in October of 2022. I had smoked weed everydayfor 17 1/2 years. The Holy Spirit filled and convicted me and I quit roughly a week later. I tried to smoke one more time a month after and it felt like I was allowing another spirit inside. It’s been 146 days and I don’t plan on ever looking back. 🙏🏻🕊

Stay with it. It only gets harder if you go back. And as appealing as it may seem. In my experience God opens my eyes to the peril I put my soul in when I fail.

I was a very heavy smoker before Jesus revealed Himself to me. And after i felt great conviction for it. I knew in my heart God did not want me to smoke anymore. But i was so addicted i continued for almost 4 years! And i would feel so ashamed every time i smoked (which was multiple times every single day). But God told me that what He wants is for me to first seek the kingdom of God and HE will change me. I realized i wasnt succeeding in quiting because 1. Deep down i loved getting high and I didnt want to quit and 2. I kept trying to stop on my own. After God revealed this to me i started seeking a stronger relationship with Jesus. I felt compelled to get baptised for the first time since giving my life to Jesus and from that day on i was finally able to quit without ANY cravings and without ANY withdraw symptoms. Praise Jesus!!

Remember brother or sister your tongue is your soldier you are more powerful than you know through God but without God we do not have his covering and are prone to spiritual attack! Pray everyday and please pray for others so that they may be found! You got this you just need our father God! We forget as Gods children that with God inside of us we are more powerful than the darkness and through him you will win every battle! Our God is glorious! He is the king of kings!

I gave up all my smoking. Cigarettes and pot. I stopped drinking and looking at maddens lustfully. I stopped drowning in my sins and have started to see the word come to life. I tell you the truth brothers and sisters, lots of deception run rampant. Cast them away and live. In CHRIST JESUS AMEN.

No way I could even be in any comparison, Im nothing just as you said were all sinners and have all fall short of HIM. I just want to do my best after all CHRIST did die for all of us. It’s the least I could do is what he ask. Understanding is a start. I pray we all live a better life and I want all of us to come home. I love you all my brothers and sisters in CHRIST. Thank you for being in this world and time with us for we have lost loved ones and I know some of the ones I know probably didn’t make it. I need to study more to understand. Well said. I struggled with alcohol for the longest time. Daily drinking. I rationalized that people drank in the bible, so it was okay in a way. Then later I knew it was wrong, but couldnt stop without Gods intervention. Our Lord wants us sober minded.

@@CommEfornIA it's definitely witchcraft from my experience. I had physical demonic attacks when I was younger when I used. People also hear and see things when high, I think it opens a gateway for demons to mess with you and possession of the mind.

@@CommEfornIA Im not sure I would call it witchcraft, but the goal of pot is to intoxicate. Now there is an example somwhere in the bible (I forget the passage) of a dying person being given alcohol to make them for comfortable. So I think comfort care for the dying and terminally ill (im talking cancer patients and the like... not how everyone says that have anxiety and insomnia to get a pot script), can be totally acceptable.

This logic means "consumption" of most "medicine" is a sin. So, put down the coffee, caffeine and pain killers too. Doctors are out here everyday prescribing "sin" to everyone. Weed was the best option for my mother while fighting cancer.

This was my thought as well... I really like and appreciate Pastor Kim but perhaps it would've been better if he has made a real sermon on this matter, because clearly this matter isn't quite that simple and needs more clarification. I don't smoke anything but I've been prescribed a few medicines during my life which did indeed alter my mood and personality in some ways.

Yeah of course I would see no problem in that situation or even less extreme like maybe it helps someone with anxiety or stress. As long as you are using moderation and not just smoking yourself stupid I don't see the problem.

Would an interested non believer who smokes weed be more willing to talk/listen to someone who also smokes weed, which incidentally causes me to be wa-ay more sober minded than my normal non THC ADHDedness.

@mamalor13 I would say, yes. Common interests, circumstances, and habits create situations for people to talk who wouldn't normally talk to each other, peacefully.

@@mamalor13Interesting, true point. Marijuana absolutely medicates for ADHD and is less harmful than Adderall or Ritalin. However, there is no reason to smoke it. There are CBD tinctures and tinctures that have the THC too that are useful for medical purposes, where legal. Smoking anything damages the lungs and we are not to knowingly damage the temple that is our body.

Genesis 9:3 - Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. My question is if your injured with a spinal injury or sick with cancer couldn't Marijuana which yields seeds be use for the pain?

I'm confused... I have major spinal damage and got away from all narcotics by using cannabis for pain and inflammation control. I never drive when medicated, this is a medicine .

Its the only drug in the world you dont have to alter to get its affect , God made it put it on this earth for us . Are you saying God made a mistake making marijuana no he did not . Well that hurt. I've had many back surgeries and I don't like taking the pain medicine. I had thought that since God made every green thing to be useful in some way, that it was a better choice. I don't want to sin. I hurt though and it really helps.

Christians take all kinds of legal drugs all the time. And they often abuse them. I knew a Christian mom who regularly gave her kids Benadryl to make them sleep because they were hyper. Marijuana can be used medicinally, especially where legal, and no one should ever feel condemned for doing so.

I use it medicinally also for CPTSD. This is why I think our personal relationship with Jesus is important. Everyone has different lives, different experiences, and different walks with the Lord. We're not all the same, so the Holy Spirit deals with us all on a personal level.. and this is also why I think it's more important to spread the Gospel rather than Behavior Modification messages. Get people saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit so THEY can walk with HIM and work out their own issues with the Lord personally.

Brother you're right. Don't smoke it use edibles. I've had surgeries and have chronic pain. I saw what my father and another older man went through with opioids. They both died from complications of the heart due to the big pharma pills.

Haven’t touched it in months..but I still struggle with it. I’ve been going through a transition ever since I had some kind of interaction with Christ. I started watching his vids and actually reading and studying my Bible and it’s like God is talking to me. I’m getting to know Him..Who He is etc. it can be overwhelming. I will often cry while reading the Word. It’s all brand new to me

I feel like the connection is foggy when smoking. That’s why I’m choosing to stop. Especially in the beginning of coming to Christ and really getting to know Him. A clear mind is necessary.

Dr. Kim I am a real bible believing Christian KJV dispensational.I have been smoking cannabis and growing my own fór 45 years. You are ninety percent correct in my book. I have chronic pain and the THC plus CBD lessens the pain, cramps and spasms. Recreationally I have smoked cannabis for the same period of time, it does mitigate pain, enhance creativity and it helps focus my thoughts. It is an intoxicant yet as with psilocybin frequent use habituated the euphoria thus lessening the effects. As for psilocybin it is still illegal despite the promise that it shows restoring memory of the person's that microdose. Another drug that the same scriptures could apply to. I still use cannabis and likely will continue for the remainder of my life. Peace be with you see you in Heaven.

Finding it's true use in this society is hard to do especially with other Christians fighting against us as well. If it's prescribed by your doctor as medicine and used to treat a specific disease it's fine and a lot better than pharmaceuticals since it's natural. But for recreation and fun it is a sin.

I agree with you about cannabis. But I've had first hand experience that mushrooms open doorways to the demonic. Be weary of them. When I used them it went bad and I saw things so evil that I was sure I saw hell. A specific demon I saw convinced me to kill myself, and I was about to do it, when all of a sudden a good friend randomly came by, which stopped me from going through with it. God obviously had plans for my life, and wouldn't allow me to die yet. He is so amazing!!!

What happened to faith? You trust the herb more than God to alleviate the pain. Its even pointed out in the video, that he that doubteth is damned if he eat. Listen, i use aspirin and ibuprofen all the time, but i still think its wrong. My wife has prayed over pain and sickness and found relief with no man made medication. So i strongly believe that people who argue for marijuana will go through all types of loops to justify their addiction/crutch. Just say you like to smoke, no need to justify it or put the onus on God.

Nothing wrong with it for me, I'm a fully functioning productive adult. I use it morning noon and night for severe arthritis in my spine, it's slightly more stimulating than a cup of coffee for me. I love and obey God, cannabis is not a hindering for me, but maybe for someone it is.

@@Lauren-vd4qe This is incorrect. Every single born-again (saved) believer will be raptured no matter what. All saved believers are sealed by the Holy Spirit & unto the day of redemption (Eph 1:13 & 4:30). No member of the body of Christ will be left behind. The rapture is not contingent on performance or where you are at on your Christian walk. Mind you, many are not necessarily drinking and smoking for fun but rather they are struggling with addiction and haven’t gotten the victory yet-some may never get it. Hypothetically, if we were to be left behind due to sinning, then most would be left behind, because there are many more sins than smoking and drinking alcohol. Thanks be to God, all who are saved in Christ will be raptured. God bless.

@@by_grace_through_faith if a person becomes a christian then deliberately throws it away and lives a life of sin, not obeying God or the New Testament, then they will not go to Heaven. once saved always saved is NOT accurate. the Bible says it wd have been better had they never KNOWN the Lord/His Word etc to begin with. ye cannot serve God and mammon. Faith without works is dead. by their fruit you will know them.

Well funny I came across this short by you Gene Kim because a few hours ago I smoked my last 2 hits of pot and im done with it and i repent of pot smoking in 2 days I like to try to get into the homeless shelter here in Kenai Alaska and I have to be clean off everything and I have to wait 2 days to go there from pot smoking Lord willing I may be able to get in Monday I've been homeless a week now and I believe God slowed certain unfair situations in order to get me to this place of repentance from pot I haven't drinked any alcohol for 9 days now or any hard drugs in 9 days as well if you have been following me or recognize my messages you might have been shocked 😮 to learn about my secret struggles with sin alcohol,drugs, pornography etc. But ive been staying away from these things and as a born again Christian I'm feeling glad about these major changes I'm making I've been saved bout half my life now and I hoping the mission can be a good Godly influence for me brother Kim please pray for me that I can get into the friendship mission hopefully by Monday sometime and 5hat all will go well with me there thank you for ALL YOUR VIDEOS I e been following you for a few years now In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

I take medical marijuana for a medical condition. It is prescribed. I rarely take a pharmaceutical drug anymore. So it has good uses. One should do all things in moderation.

This is true. My dad has bad hips that are very painful. He’s in stage 3 kidney failure from Ib Profen use so his MD gave him Rx for medical marijuana

Well done I smoked skunk and drank every day for nearly 30 years as a coping mechanism also but it made me live in psychosis , it altered the way I thought and due to my narcissistic personality smoking skunk and drinking made me do things I'd never even think about doing sober it lead to me doing cocaine and crack aswell I was stealing , fighting living like a shitbag I gave up that way of life stipped hanging around with people stuck in the same circumstances became a recluse for a while then learned to drive went to college ..years later I am.still dealing with the fall out of what I did when I wasn't a well man so I'd really suggest to anyone that it's not good for you in the long run.

Smoking marijuana definitely causes intoxication. I smoked an the '60s and '70s and it is far far more potent now. It causes mood swings and a mild form of psychosis, as well.

Yes!!! Finally someone mentions this!! I started smoking in the 90s and weed was fun, fun fun but now it is wayyyy too powerful and not fun at all!! It causes anxiety, fear, paranoia, elevated heart rate, and it used to smell good now it stinks

The struggle is truth. I read my Bible everyday talk to God & Jesus as well as the spirit. And pray constantly to him for others and myself. But I do smoke since I was 9 I’m a lot older now and still use. I did stop then started up because of stomach issues and anxiety. I have a card and smoke less today. God is good and if he wants me to be done so be it. I’ll know it’s him. < And remember everything in moderation.

Pharmaceutical meds are made from chemicals and/or compounds, and therefore not natural. From observation, it appears they can distort the mind, and/or suppress the soul to weaken it (most often seen in antidepressants and sedatives especially).

If you want to say this, then any drug that could cause a feeling other than your own sobriety , including not knowing what they will produce inside you ,as a sin, then and therefore you need to call oxycotin ,Tylenol, insulin, etc sinful!!!! . This is not a topic for shorts blurted out in this way. My sister-in-law has bone cancer and has not been able to get out of bed for a year. She has massive pain, massive nausea along with a whole host of other issues. Morphine, Oxsee, etc. all make her liver fail the only pain medication that is working for her right now is Neurontin and marijuana. You need to be very careful of what you’re condemning and how this should be a deep long prayed over sermon pastor kim. God made cannabis, granted, we took it and blew it up but you go back to that simple plant that grows in ditches, and it seems to me that God knew what he was doing.

I'm a Christian who recently quit marijuana because I felt convicted in my heart even though I was getting it from a doctor. If you're a Christian trying to justify marijuana use you're nothing but a 🤡 fool just like I was and you'll be dealt with just like I was dealt with by God. Quit as soon as you can and you'll feel better after a couple of weeks. Also don't just jump into another unhealthy habit like alcohol, over eating, watching dirty videos or sitting on social media for hours.

I'm newly Christian after reciving a vision from God and was saved and born again just 3 weeks ago. Jesus delivered me from a 14 year porn addiction and my video game addiction as well. He gave me the disire to stop instantly, and the power to say no, everytime!! God is so great! I thought I would be addicted forever. To say its been life changing is an understatement ... Jesus is my Lord now and I worship him alone. I still smoke a bit of weed every couple of days or so but I dont know if this is a sin. I am trying to cut out everything from my life that feels like a barrier between me and God. But I'm not sure about smoking weed. I constantly hear from Preachers that I'm listening to about how smoking weed is this terrible sin but I do not feel like I'm sinning when I smoke it...? I never smoke it in rebellion to God and I thank him for creating it. Even before I was saved and living in sin I was always in thanks to God for making it. I keep asking the Holy Spirit if it's a sin but I can't feel his answer... What does the bible say about it?? What do you think? Need some help from my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ!

You're not getting stoned with it. I'm a light user and I think more about Him and my mind is more receptive when I do than when I don't. When I don't, my sights are more focused on things I need to do in this world and don't think about Him as much. My mind is more open and I see things that I never thought of before but I verify it with Scripture in context before I accept it as fact.

Dude I’m in recovery over a year now of a porn addiction that has been part of my life since I was like 5 when I first got introduced to it and I’ve smoked in the past but I really didn’t start smoking it more until the pandemic hit and been using it since, I cut down a lot since then, I used to smoke everyday after I’d get out of work but now I took a month off and it dropped my tolerance so now I smoke a little on the weekends only when I’m gonna chill for the day and I don’t see it as a bad thing but idk I go back and forth with it because I do enjoy getting a little high and watching a movie or listening to music but I also don’t like feeling like I’m doing something wrong but I don’t feel like I am I rather smoke a little then get drunk I have no control over myself when I’m drunk vs when I’m high I’m super aware of things and I’m more in tune with my thoughts that I’m come to answer so many questions that I’ve had especially when it came to my porn addiction man I came to so many epiphanies when I was high and it made me realize a lot of things so idk if it is bad I feel like it’s helped me in ways but I also just like to use it to chill I don’t see the harm in it if I’m not abusing it and just staying high all day every day. I hope the lord can give me an answer to this after all he did make it

I use to smoke weed all the time. When you accept god you’re given the Holy Spirit which corrects you and puts you on the path to sanctification. When I got saved I continued smoking weed, I came up with every excuse I could as to why it was okay for Christian’s to smoke weed, I realized that the excuses I made were not for other people but for myself. I had been fighting for something with no avail. It was then I realized that if I have to try THAT hard to justify an action is not a sin, then it most DEFINITELY IS a sin.

And the wine skins, you don't put new wine in old wineskins because the old wine skin is already stretched and the new would stretch it even more to the point of ruining the wine skin and loosing all the wine from it leaking out, and then Jesus points out no one drinks new wine after drinking old, for the old is better. Wouldn't that make a strong argument that Jesus made old wine as his first miracle by the words of the master of ceremony stating people usually bring the best wine out first and then cheep wine after everyone has enough to drink but the best wine was saves for last. Now I will say that there is good argument that it was new wine (like new covenant, and Behold, Jesus makes all thing new) and maybe it was new wine but it was so good or sweet that it's even better then old wine (Jesus is God after all and he can make anything) but if it were new, imagine putting that stuff into some new divine wine skins to make some old wine.

With an open mind, always verify it with Scripture in context and not bits and pieces, and not with the mindset of what you were taught that it says. Read what it actually says without any interpretations. With your closed mind, I saw in another thread you said that the law was done away with. If your mind was open, you would see that the only source of salvation, Yeshua Himself clearly said that's not true. I am a born again Christian for 31 yrs, I had a life threatening accident in 2010 and was already 70% disabled prior. I was taking morphine and oxycodone for 10 yrs straight and it was destroying my liver so I weaned myself off of them. Now I use marijuana for the pain I would love to stop but when I am suffering it is the only thing that makes me able to function or I do not accomplishe much so that is that. I also say that Christians do much worse and I know there is no degree of sin but it is all sin, it is impossible to not sin we all do sin every day and we will answer for it. Praise Jesus for his sacrifice Amen.

Think about this - when someone has an open mind, they are open to more easily accept ideas, and manipulation. The second one I know because I was deceived before, and because before I was saved I used to do stuff like that using my knowledge of psychology. Sometimes I used it to get what I wanted, but bad things would come after because I was doing wrong and God was not pleased. I found out.

It’s not a sin to consume cannabis, the Bible states to be sober minded. It also says you can consume alcohol as long as you don’t become as the drunkards. There’s this thing called a sugar and caffeine high, is it a sin to consume coffee/caffeine or sugar since it’ll alter your state of mind? I don’t know man but how about playing video games, that alters your state of mind, how about hyperventilating as that can alter your ability to function properly or so on. You can consume anything as long as you don’t go too far and become intoxicated. I don’t care what the world thinks. So many good things are seen or viewed as bad and so many bad things are seen or viewed as good. Do you think Jesus would have died for us if he cared what the world thought of him, no he understood the words of the Father and the world killed him for it. When in doubt don’t do it but you should always seek to better understand what God says. You should’ve live in fear due to the lack of understanding, so anyone who reads this know it’s my opinion and what I believe.

Just because it’s on earth does it mean it’s not evil Believe me I used to smoke marijuana every day I loved to smoke it ,.. And I told God that I love him moreI ,..and asked God if I could smoke it ,…and he told me no. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do I still struggle with it daily. Whatever since I start smoking the Holy Spirit is able to do his work in me , much more freely. God bless you ❤️🕊

It is not even referenced in the bible about these plants. So who is to say they are bad? It only really condemns drunkenness, which is a specific meaning, unlike being stoned.

I use the natural medicine God gave us. I use CBD and THC gummies to help with my nerve pain after a horrible car crash and broken neck. Thankfully, I know I am totally forgiven for all my sins, and there is nothing wrong with using the plants God created in a responsible way.

It means you are freely justified by grace and there is no condemnation when it comes to your positional standing with God. That's a completely separate thing from our practical walk, in where are to live by the Spirit and not give in to the desires of the flesh and sin. We'll never be perfect at it, but we should try as it is our reasonable service.

I'm disabled with chronic pain, had a muscle removed from Mt neck and a rib removed due to it pinching my main nerve and artery, almost had my arm getting cut off. But I smoked to get rid of pain for years off and on but not daily. But I felt it be wrong and stopped, still have pain but God will help me and I take prescription meds.

@@GodCalledDalAnsweredthe anointing oil was used in the temple. I'm still trying to find it but if I remember correctly, there are three ingredients, one of which apparently not clear what it is. Some believe it is a poisonous plant which I don't believe because it doesn't make sense that Yahweh would want poison in His temple. Others believe that it is cannabis. At this point, idk but I haven't ruled it out.

The Bible never mentions cannabis and if you want to talk about intoxication you need to mention Noah. He was the only person of his generation considered righteous and he was an alcoholic. I don’t smoke but I do drink. It has been a real struggle in the past with drug use and alcohol. I use to abuse these things to cope with the many stresses I had and never knew the damage it was doing to me. I haven’t taken any drugs but I still struggle with alcohol on occasion. I have recently started reading the KJV only and it has been powerful. My prayer life has been better, my relationships better, my job better. Please pray for me and others that have this same snare.

Regardless of where someone comes out on this issue, let it at least be acknowledged that smoking marijuana, or any sort of lack of obedience does not cause someone to not be saved. Salvation is by faith alone by the grace of God. Obedience has nothing to do with salvation, only sanctification

Whenever I smoke I think about all my past wrongdoings and feel guilty for the way I was. It truly makes me question my every action and helps me see the spiritual world. So I don’t know I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily bad. I think it depends on how you associate with it.

Here’s the thing, I love weed. It was my friend and coping mechanism to escape the tyrannical religious experience in my youth. Today, I don’t want things to become an idol that I put before my loving Savior, Jesus Christ. I could probably rationalize it but seeking first the kingdom of God and being one with Christ is the way. For me.

I smoke weed some weekends. I play various instruments in my church. My pastors family and mine are close. I smoke mostly on Friday nights because I can sleep in most Saturdays, if I'm on vacation I'm going to smoke...it's never been an issue. Just something I enjoy alone or with another fellow that goes to the same church. We eat and play music when smoking....if anything, God is looking down thinking, "Those guys can really jam"
