I somehow went the majority of my life without coming across Mario Sunshine until a few years ago I saw a trailer for Super Mario Eclipse. I genuinely thought that Mario Sunshine was some sort of joke/parody/fan-project. I can see some of its virtues now but It certainly over praised by some.

I never heard of Super Mario Eclipse and immediately had to check it out. Thank you so much for bringing it to my attention! But yes, I can definitely see how some may have thought of Sunshine as some fan-made project or parody game lol. I had a friend who thought she had only dreamt of the game cause she couldn't remember the title until years later

This game is flawed but fun. Trying to 100% it was awful though.

It certainly is😂 As much as I enjoy it, some sunshine sprites definitely were more tedious than necessary lol
