I’ve gotten necklaces from temu that say 925 and they changed to a reddish color so now I only buy the silver n moissanite

Probably only the clasp is sterling.

i found a big silver platter at my thriftstore for 50 cents weighs around 240 grams it had that weathered silver look and my local gold store confirmed as real

Yeah I recently bought 10 chains 20 inch long for $3 bucks each their picture showed 925 silver and at checkout it said i saved over $200. Got it yesterday and no 925 markings clasp was magnetic checked it with silver acid and 18k acid flunked miserably. Not sure what these chains are made of. They do have a nice look to them so I'll probly sell them at my local flea market for about $8 bucks each. I do order things quite often on Temu, but Jewelry one and done, thanks for posting 👍

Here is a tip, these descriptions can lie about being sterling silver but the descriptions often don't. So look at the main material listed before buying something like this. (Could you confirm my theory?)

Someone else did a couple of videos, most were real with the 925 as the metal listed in the material specs, but a few were fakes.

It’s so confusing because it seems played in 925? I tested over 20 rings tonight and I will say two stones came back as sapphire which was surprising… but all the marked 925 was fake. The “rose gold” was even stamped 925 which is weird

@@CE-jl1lv the stones could by cubic zirconia. Those diamond testers are not accurate. I did test all of them off camera to confirm the results

Wow that was enlightening. That is a poor success rate for a company that guarantees what they sell. Hopefully someone at Temu sees your video and chooses to do something positive to their very flawed quality control. Thank you for sharing.

The They guarantee it and they give you your money back if it's not what you paid for, and sometimes you don't even have to return it , They stand by their guarantee

@@vintagesterlingfinds I've returned a ton of things, they've never asked for anything back, at least one thing per order, I've made 35 orders, literally if you don't like it or it's not what you thought it was, return it and donate whatever it is, they stand by their guarantees

@@vintagesterlingfinds too much acid can give a false negative by diluting the silver dust you're rubbing off, less acid also means less money
