Today we go over my 2010 Ford Focus this car currently has 84k mikes there Was 79k when I bought the car back in November of 2020

I bought my 2010 focus in 2016 with 88,000 miles on it, now has 170,000 and still working very well! No issues at all, What a great car!

That’s awesome mine had 60k when I bought it it now has 104k about to hit 105k here real soon I had no issues with her other than the cv axels

does your 2010 focus have a cabin air filter? Mine doesn't accept a cabin air filter and it smells bad when I turn on the AC/heat :(

I bought one in 2019, had maybe 120K on it, it’s my first car, I was 16 when I got it. 4 years later and she’s still kickin, I love her, such a reliable car, I won’t get rid of it until it won’t drive anymore

I have a '10 SES sedan with all options and 140k on it. Bought with 60k on it. It has been mostly good, and cosmetically it has held up very well inside and out. People who don't know think it's much newer. The faults are all well known: sway bar end links, engine mounts, valve cover gasket, and most of the time there is an annoying front suspension rattle or creak somewhere. The engines are very good though, and the nice thing about all the hard plastic inside is it's easy to clean and maintain. I am not a wrencher, but I did struts, end links, 2 engine mounts, and rear shocks myself. I live in a high cost area and that saved me quite a bit of money. Keep up with the maintenance and these should last. Also, I have had my transmission serviced at 60k, then every 30k after that.

That engine bay firewall heatshield is the rattle. Ignition switch is plastic to broke early for me so if key doesnt start probably the problem lol. Fun motor to throw aftermarket parts on.

Stock radio dies early to, get a nicer touchscreen one when you can

I love my 08 SeS, for being a factory system it sounds pretty good, the subwoofer has plenty of Bass to rattle the mirrors and mine will definitely do a burnout halfway down my block, I’ve had mine up to 100 on the highway and It handled perfect, the Gas mileage has been amazing, I’m getting 36 mpg combined. It’s definitely better than the 3rd gen focus and definitely more reliable. I had a 2013 and nothing but transmission problems and Tcm module issues, I’m glad I bought my 08 and ditched the 13 .

I've been driving an '11 SE for just over two years and it's been such a great little car. Not too many issues with it aside from replacing the thermostat, a key programming issue, and a minor issue with the throttle body that caused a sudden lack of power while on the freeway (kinda scary stuff hehe). Definitely was at the right place at the right time when I found it! In fact when I found it the engine mounts were shot so I was almost about to pass on it when the dealer offered to replace them. That repair, and an upgrade to a key fob, were all I needed to seal the deal!

That’s awesome I’ve had mine for about the same time I haven’t had any mechanical issues on it except for the battery it was very low mileage only 70k when I got it now I have 101k miles on it it still runs good did wreck it back in February slid into a snow bank going 50mph the car survived with only a cracked bumper and the passenger fog light cover was damaged very lucky she didn’t get totaled plan on driving her till I die

Just recently brought a 08 SES trim, 224,000 miles, only thing went wrong was the timing belt ripped up on me which was a 500 fix, but other then that it’s going great!

Great video. However, you should have shown the rocker panels too, to show how they age in your neck of the woods where much road salt is applied. Thanks for taking the time to post this video.

Do you still have this car? I like the car but the only thing is that it does not accept a cabin air filter element and the AC/heat smells bad. :(

Helped my daughter buy one. I really like it. Might buy one myself. Had a 2013 chevy cruze and it was absolute junk.

They make amazing first cars and yeah those Chevy Cruzes are terrible I went to test drive when before the focus and the transmission went out during the test drive

Had my RPMs rev like crazy the other day and could not get past 30KM an hour then another time could not make it up a hill again rpms going nuts. Have you guys had this issue? Any idea what this might be?

What year is your focus? Mines a 2010 and has 162km on it and mine does ok going up hills I have to floor it a bit more to get up to speed the two things I can think of could be a transmission issue your clutch may be shot or your driveline May have came disconnected also check your transmission fluid aswell

If I put the turbo kit on my 2010 ford focus what should I do next other then breaks and suspension 🤔 someone please help lol I'm trying to switch it to AWD too bc it would be nice in ohio

Next you’d have to put a new transmission that’s AWD then get a flash tune from SCT that’ll help with turbo lag you can get everything from FSWerks.com they have everything for the 2010 Focus performance wise at least and for breaks and suspension if go to fitmentindustries.com and for the breaks I’d go to Bremo.com
