I've had my i8 Roadster for a month now.. def doesn't drive like a supercar. But it is so affordable to drive and it is SO damn beautiful

This is a unique vehicle. This is the result of heart and soul being put into a car knowing it will fail before production even begins. The reason this thing is a total failure, yet such an AMAZING vehicle is, it's a daily driver supercar. The only issue is it demands a supercar price tag but has the performance of a regular old sports car. This vehicle was built for a very special kind of person, one who wants the look and feel of a supercar without the crippling fuel economy or environmental impact and has deep enough pockets to care.

Imagine if BMW made an I8 Dual-electric motor with about 600 HP. That would be phenomenal.

Drove this car in St. Petersburg before IndyCar race... Absolutely wonderful acceleration and handling... Everything was fantastic besides the shifter. Couldn't stand the auto stick. If I had the car more, I probably would figure it out more but I was a bit confused at first just to get it into Drive from Park.

I like it Joe. The Church that I attend in Monrovia California there is a BMW dealer really close by so I'm familiar with the car. I much prefer the color of this one over the silver with blue and black accents. This is the first time I have ever seen a actual test drive of one. I'm just kinda Luke warm on it. Hardly any storage area. And for the price, $130,000.00 with all of the zonks that you pointed out I would have to pass. But don't get me wrong I love the styling. I just think that for that amount of money that BMW is asking you could do a whole lot better without naming all of the competitors making a similar car. Thanks for the review Joe, great job.

Kid I just graduated from college with bought one recently. A used coupe from a few years ago. He makes and edits music videos for rappers.

Brakes size is relative to size and mass of a car. In this case, both small, plus it has some regenerative braking from the electric motors. Negating the need for big calipers or discs.

The Bmw i8 is one of those unique cars that DEMANDS to be looked at and to have that attention without taking "no" for or as an answer which is really nice

Excellent review, but to me, it has love it or leave it styling, and the powertrain doesn't quite match the hype, but give BMW credit for taking risks and coming out with something unique.

I have an i8. The sound isn’t artificial/simulated. Its enhanced to be louder. That is the actual sound of the motor. Mine is modified and it shoots flames. So the pops are actually from the motor. And you said you won’t win any drag races. I win drag races all the time. Ask all the Priuses that I beat. 😂

Was never a fan of BMW but this car is pretty cool love the design so futuristic looking. But I would take a Audi R8 Spyder over this car any day.

I've seen a few of these in real life gorgeous cars sad to hear their depreciating so much but when it comes down to it not many people are interested in the car I think because it's a hybrid and unfortunately when you think of hybrid you don't think supercar unless it's the Porsche 918 and even then some people don't consider that gorgeous piece of machinery a legitimate car.

I think it’s worth it, the engine may be not powerful, because its a electric three cylinder, but still has the performance and style. I would still go the Nissan GT-R.

This car is much more looks and luxury than supercar. Awesome daily driver, but really, it's no NSX, GT-R, R8 or even Corvette C8, and is really pricy compared in my opinion.

In my opinion its a stretch calling this a Supercar! Yes its expensive but a 0-60 time of over 4 seconds isn't really modern Supercar performance let alone its inability to track well.

Very beautiful exterior and interior but the worst performance...I always had hope that bmw would look more into this car performance and make it live up to the car look's but they simply gonna discontinue it..wat a shame...

It’s funny because I remember seeing this car for the first time ever and was like DAMN. As it was driving by, I was waiting for the acceleration but was only met with silence. I thought to myself, wowwww what a lame driver. Little did I know it was a hybrid 🤣💀

Horrendous infotainment screen for a car this expensive. Definitely looks like an afterthought and it isn’t in harmony with the rest of the interior.

It's nice but the Mercedes sports car is just so much sleeker maybe because it's a little more feminine to me.

Not a supercar the i8 only has 3 cylinder, and fake exhaust noise. Also not fast enough compared to other gas powered or EV supercars in the 100k range.
