The ALL NEW Mojave is here and it is ready make your off-road dreams come true. The 2020 Gladiator Mojave is the first ever Desert Rated Jeep vehicle. It sits an inch higher than the Rubicon, has a wider track and of course major suspension work. Under the hood is the 3.6L V6 mated to an 8-speed automatic. The Mojave comes with features no other Jeep has every had to help master any off road situation. Is the 2020 Gladiator Mojave the BEST off-road Jeep ever built?

That was fun. I drive a lifted Call of Duty Rubicon with 37 inch tires on it. And you said something about this truck that I've always felt. Those babies can go anywhere. Nothing stops them. Ha. You looked like you were having fun. Even with the limited steering compared to other vehicles, it is always a blast, in a Jeep.

I live in Nevada and new Raptors are usually over 70k due to dealer markup. The Gladiator hasn't done well in the West and they should have kept this under 60k to grow market share, especially in the Great Basin states. Thanks for the review.

You can find them loaded for the low to mid 50s since dealers are offering good deals on them, which is a little expensive but not too bad.

They kill you with trim pricing on these and then the base has manual locks and windows.

You can get them way less. Many are under $50K and they even have leather. Jeep also has employee pricing right now.

I was hoping to see you remove the back section of the hard top. Do you know the weight of it? It's about half the size of the Wrangler, so I'm guessing 50 lbs? I wonder if it can be removed by one person by standing in the bed.

I love the gladiator and was in the market for one but 50 - 61k for a Rubicon is absolutely insane. That's full size truck range. I know you should cross shop a midsize truck and full size but when prices collide holy crap. Like I always say you gotta pay to play.

Does the rear diff lock in 4H? 2H? Does the front diff lock? Does the front anti-swaybar have an electric disconnect like the Rubicon does? Is the tcase low 2.72:1 or 4:1 or...? Are the springs still flexy enough to articulate in rocks like a Rubicon? IIRC, the frame is beefed compared to the other trims. How?

Rear diff can lock in 4 high when you press the Offroad + button. It also turns off the traction control. Front diff does not have a locker. Does not have auto swaybar disconnect. They are wanting to keep the swaybar connected for high speed stability. T-Case is the 2.72 for higher speed capability even in low range. Top speed of 50mph in low compared to 30. Flexes just as well as Rubicon up until the lack of swaybar disconnect comes into play. (I plan on adding manual disconnects.) They increased the strength of the track bars by increasing wall thickness, motor and transmission mounts stronger, increased welding on parts of the frame, stronger frame side and axle side brackets including spring and shock mounts, stronger upper control arms on front axle and iron knuckles instead of aluminum.

It’s thicker track bars and truss supports near shock area. Both of which in a quality lift will have. Rest is marketing to compete with a rubi. If you’re off-road. Get a rubi.

JOE ~ what color do you want? I want neon green, we can go trailing together, wouldn't that be fun? maybe go fishing, take our Jeeps down some fun trails, spotting each other over rough terrain, like rocks & people. the Mojave is a big toy for us boys who still like to play. plus we can still run errands & get groceries for the little women heehee (justifying the money) love you & your crew & your efforts to bring such really good reports to us car freaks. thanks JJ - tony

I'd say hold off on buying a Bronco until 2018 of 2019. After the initial buzz wears off and Jeep goes back to dominating the field, Ford will kill it off in about 10 years. So the later years ones will have pretty good resale sort of like the FJ's.

This is the only Gladiator I would consider buying, its due to the reinforced frame and other beefed up suspension components. If your gonna tow, buy the Mojave, you will never have any frame problems.

Sorry for the price and a Mopar product, 7,000 pounds isn't enough towing capability. Correct me if I'm wrong but a Grand Cherokee can tow up to 8,000 pounds. I do like the color match interior and I do like the tech in side.

I love the Mojave orange hooks, and other orange accents BUT I have no need to jump my truck. So when compared to Rubicon where you get 2 lockers a crawler transfer case at the same price, Ill take Rubicon.

Mojave can run it's locker while in high gear, the Rubicon and other trims lock that feature out in the computer. High speed locker use is worth way more than having a front locker you'll rarely use.

@@deepbludreams However, 2021 Rubicon can switch on rear locking in 4Hi ....OR buy a Taser and you can turn off nanny modes and turn lockers on in 4hi or 2wd all for about $300 which is a heck of a lot cheaper than putting a front locker in Mojave
