9:58 for me the column shifter is one of their best features. It clears the space near the center console. You don't use it pretty often once you start driving the car, and it is out of the way.

Well done and informative review. I’m looking into replacing my old ML350 so the GLE350 is a candidate. I’m skeptical about a turbo 4 since my old 103k mile car is just adequate with a normally aspirated 3.5L V6. So, the GLE450 turbo 3.0L inline 6 with the 48V mild hybrid assist comes to mind. Also, I don’t like the plastic fender arches and the spider web, fish scale lower front grill with the swelled catfish whisker cheeks. Overall, I like the GLE. And, the AMG trim package option on non-AMG’s corrects the plastic arch and fish scale face cosmetic mistakes. Thank you.

Great review! What is the maintenance cost for this vehicle? Mercedes in known for being expensive. Also, what about this model without the 3rd row in terms of room? And what are your thoughts about which GLE vehicle to get for example, rear wheel or all wheel drive? And is it better to get the 6 cylinder because the weight of the vehicle may make it sluggish. Hi could you please tell me how you adjust the lumbar support on the driver seat? I am showing this car to a buyer and he was concerned that the seat was too stiff or the bolster arches and the back cushion was too Hard. I sat in it and noticed the difference from the passenger seat.

I just bought a black on black one with the third row , on friday. Drives smooth. Went from a GLS to GLE. 😊

Oddly, the 20 inch rims look super small on this. Maybe it's because of the black wheel arches. For the money, I think I'd go for a higher end GLC since I don't need a third row. Great review as usual!

Actually looks pretty good. It’s the Front fake vents for Me that turn me away, they should’ve did it a bit different. The 3rd row is mad tight! I didn’t even think it would have one based on its small size.

Joe, no comments on the Mojave Silver Metallic Color? By the way, you test drove the same color GLE as my wife's car but this one had the 3rd row seats and different color leather seats than ours. It also had the memory seats for the passenger side which we didn't go for unfortunately. One zone on your review though, you missed giving feedback on the Seat Kinetics feature on the driver's side while driving. That would've been a nice touch. Also did your ride here have Augmented Reality for Navigation as well as heated and cooled cup holders? We have these two features and that could've been more helpful if you covered those.

I have an x5 F15, love it to death, but I have to say I've been loving the looks of the GLE 350s and 400, it's alot more wider like hips and makes it look more tough I guess, and I like the shape of the roofline as well, seems like a taller vehicle in general compared to my X5. Only thing I think they should have done is put more power in the engine, even a V8 etc. If it's going to look beefy and semi aggressive with the width and all it needs more power. That's one thing I can say my X5 will go and I do have the M so it's not an exact comparison to the standard GLE but I still think it deserves a bigger engine. I know it being a Mercedes it is luxury first, but still. Just like the 63 etc. In fact if it had a bigger engine, more hp I would consider swapping from the BMW to the Mercedes, and I say that as used to have a Mercedes car so I'm not loyal to any single brand. You get a nice higher model GLE in white without the black plastic wheel trim that's a nice tough looking Mercedes, the wide taller look is awesome 👍

COACH JJ ~ the third row cracks me up, it's like the back seats in my Mini Cooper S = why? why even bother lol. I'd rather opt for just two rows & keep the larger back storage space open. I kinda like the interior & that honking huge dash screen, peppy? that's not too shabby RWD? heck yes. seems like it handles & rides well. good lil SUV for tooling round town. I concur on that fake vent next to the screen = why? lol. Florida drivers remind me of Texas drivers > everyone is going 30 mph over the speed limit & no one uses their turn signals haha. it's like you either keep up with the pace of the highway crowd or get ran off the road lol. I love both States - no State income tax heck yes. - tony

I don’t know why MB bothers to put a third row in an SUV that small. If customers want a legitimate third row, they should just upgrade to the larger GLS.

Great review Joe! For 64k not worth it....cargo space is small, no USB's in the 3rd row as well as it very tight back there. Question for you wheres the heated and vented seats in the 2nd row? Do love the tech and interior and it certainly drives well but for me definitely not a vehicle l would buy.

I just bought this car. But I got the 2020 GLE 450 SUV which has a inline 6 cylinder. I also got a number of options/packages, which I would love for you to review. I probably would be underwhelmed with the rear-wheel 4 cylinder 350. I think there is a much greater wow factor with a more powerful engine and packages.
