This remains my favorite electric car. I can't afford it, but it's gorgeous.

One thing worth mentioning is that the vast majority of the braking power actually IS regen braking. It just doesn't allow one-pedal, which frankly should be an option. People can always leave it turned off if they hate it.

Joe - Beautiful car! But I wish you could have driven it on a track to see how well it really handles. I get that it has a low center of gravity. But you also have over 5,000 pounds that you have to move through the twisty parts.

It's definitely a way nicer design than the Me/Be EQS jelly bean. And OMG, that first on throttle from outside the car actually scared me, Lori is gonna kill you if that torque doesn't 😂😂! This compares more closely to the Porsche Taycan GTS or Turbo, Rather than the Turbo S. I like most of Audi’s version of this car, but we chose the Taycan Turbo. We enjoy our e-tron SUV when more utility is needed.

I own a Ford lightning. For me it's not just the initial torque that gets me excited, it's a constant acceleratory torque that comes from an EV. Nothing else compares to the fact that the further you push your foot down on the throttle the more torque you get! And the more torque you get the faster you go! I've only owned my EV for a little under 3 months and there is nothing! Absolutely nothing that compares to this kind of acceleration. I couldn't imagine it in a vehicle that is faster than my own. And I cannot wait till I try this vehicle out myself :-)

As far as EV sedans go, the e-tron is my favorite with the taycan being 2nd. It also shows how outdated the design that Tesla is still using is.

I am in the market for a new or slightly used PERFORMANCE SUV or 4 door sedan. I love your videos. I watch the on throttle and if you have that big grin from ear to ear and a laugh, then I know that car is a possibility. When you "on throttle" and no big grin or laugh then I move on!

For that price, I'd get a RARE used '14 5.2L Audi R8 in manual, and spend the rest on modifications 🙃. But hey, clearly there's a market for ridiculously priced EV's

Most beautiful sedan out right now, EV or otherwise! Love the Taycan but the Audi wins in the aesthetics dept. For those complaining about the price. Yes, it’s pricey but it’s not for everyone, it’s a luxury performance vehicle with a price that matches that positioning. At some point they will have entry level options, for more mass consumption. This is a statement/flagship vehicle, as Audi looks to make its mark in the EV space.

That side fender vent looks like it would allow the tire to sling up pebbles and debris through the vent and all down the side of the car scratching the paint and what-not. I also don't like alcantara steering wheels. The oils from your hands will eventually mat it all down and it won't like good. I don't see why alcantara steering wheels are considered a "luxury" option. They should just be leather so they don't end up looking terrible (at least not nearly as quickly as alcantara will).

Okay honestly, I know that all these automakers are being held at g*n-point and have ZERO say whatsoever when it comes to their infotainment screens being glued on like iPads (I say sarcastically 🙄), buttttt Audi genuinely did a really decent job blending the glued-on-iPad design with the integrated dash design and I’m loving it. Now if only they could find a way to put in their cars that don’t have 6-digit price tags lmao.

Etron GT is literally a taycan with a modified body kit with muscular aggressive stance profile. Too bad e tron GT isn’t a wagon it would be more usable.. the position of cup holders in this car is disappointing arm will be right below cup holders are placed.

Let’s be honest here… the Etron and the Taycan are literally on the same platform. We all know the Porsche is higher market, higher price, and is probably the better car dynamically. Not by much because, quite literally, they are THE same car but VW will not undercut the taycan by making the Audi better/ more powerful/ more dynamic. It’s how the VW umbrella works. The Urus has 10 more horsepower than the cayenne turbo GT simply because the Lamborghini is higher market. The urus IS the cayenne though. Same platform, same engine, same chassis all designed by you guessed it….Porsche. There’s a reason they use Porsche’s architecture for everything.

Electric sports cars are cool my only gripe is that, they are always gunna lose value in a way, you can’t tune them. So whoever got the most money is always gunna have the fastest car, kinda kills the appeal at that point. I mean, I guess you lease them, they are probably great lease options just trade up for the newer faster model.

Does anyone here feel that Audi design of the late 2000s, early 2010s, was the best design? Not really feeling the newest Audi designs as of late...
