I do like this vehicle but there are mixed opinions about the GM 3.6 motors. Some say all the issues are sorted out and with timely maintenance its bulletproof, others say its still a troublesome POS

Gm has addresses most of the issues especially with timing chain a while ago (2012) If you keep up with maintenance this engine should last.

I have a brand new one too and our 2014 Enclave with 128,000 miles and the same engine is still in the family. The mechanics on KZfaq who don't like this engine work on older cars and their opinions are out of date even for our 2014 model. For people not living from paycheck to paycheck and consciously change the oil regularly, they are bulletproof engines.

cost too much at every trim level... top of the line, top trim level, only worth 35,000 period

Im not disagreeing but considering the competition it is not priced out of the market. What its worth and what people are willing to pay are to different things.

I think there is a bigger problem. the market has over priced these vehicles. there was an article about Americans having a hard time making their car payments. I think part of the problem is the ability to finance these cars. manufacturers are pricing these items at prices that almost demands these items are pay for over time utilizing a method of finance. see to me they are making a tremendous amount of money on the car then make even more through finance charges. I think to only way they will ever know what an acceptable price is we have to state that price no matter what they claim they want in price. oh yes, then we have to no buy it at these, I'm put all the vp's at the car company kids through 4 years of college, then 3 or 4 years of graduate school. Tesla lowered their prices and then sold way more cars. everybody wants to be a billionaire today... these numbers kill economies.

have you seen what cars are going for these days?? many are like tahoe about 80-85 large,if they sell this for 35 they would make no money. i think 45 tops.
