I'm starting to like the Mach E, don't know if it is the color but this looks pretty good.

That orange paint with the gold pearl in it is one of the best colors for cars. It looks good on just about everything.

Joe, I've never seen you have so much fun on one of these reviews. I have the same car and it's such great family. My 3 year old loves it when we go full throttle on the freeway on-ramps.

I don't mine the color just wondering how it will look in a couple of years.i agree it needs a shade for the glass roof and I don't mind the center screen. I am also concerned with the milage range and the amount of time it takes to charge.

Better than Tesla

Slowing at around 75mph is the overboost ending. When you first put the pedal down you’ll get 5 secs of overboost. In Unbridled mode there’s an option to extend it a bit but I’m not sure how much time it adds. Doing so will cancel out one Pedal Drive mode though so you’ll have to brake yourself. Dealers are slashing prices @ atm to compete with Ford’s price cuts to compete with Tesla’s price cuts. DO NOT pay MSRP vehicles on dealer lots!

I understand Joe's excitement,i test drove one of these,not the GT,but also awd,and i didn't want to get out of it.They were willing to let me keep it for around 80k at the time,but i was too lazy to write them a check... :)))

The latest update now allows the volume control to also control climate. Something along the lines of You pick the option via the touchscreen icons then adjust the value via the volume control. I think the icon in the dial also changes.

I have a 2013 Mustang Cali- the last year they made the coupe with the panoramic sun roof. I love having it. It’s like being in a convertible without the road noise with the top up. But…. It has a retractable integrated giant sun shade! 11:00 am - 2:00 I’ve usually got it pulled. It’s also super helpful to pull it when it is sitting in a parking lot. A electric shade on this car would have made a lot of sense. As a daily driver the MachE makes a lot of sense. Love hearing you laugh on the reviews!

Joe does such comprehensive, interesting reviews that I always find informative (and fun). Ford did a great job with this car. I love it.

I don't *hate* it carrying the Mustang badge, but I think Ford missed an opportunity. They could have brought back an older nameplate to join the reintroduction of the Bronco and Maverick names - maybe something like the Galaxie, but restyled as the Galax-E or something like that.

You can readily find a ‘21 Mach-E GT sub-$30k with 30k or less miles at the time of this writing. That’s a great value

Beautiful car. Love the cyber orange with the gloss black. Almost a perfect car, but they violated Raiti's Rule #7: "no rear windshield wiper on any vehicle with a sportback design, expecially a performance SUV."

These things were literally Found On Road Dead in northern Canada this winter. Turns out you cannot start charging these if you leave it in the cold and it's - 25 out.

This car would have done so much better if they justed named it a Ford Taurus.

Since Ford came in with the Mach E. I would buy it over a Tesla. It's just my style. It's a beautiful car and looks aggressive.

I just bought this car yesterday. On the walk-through at the dealer I was advised not to charge the battery to 100% unless I was going on a long trip. They said 80% was a good rule of thumb. They also told me not to charge it daily, but let it go down to around 20%, and then charge it. So I’m thinking to myself, I take 20% off the top and 20% off the bottom and I’m really only left with 60% of the battery as usable. They said this is to extend the life of the battery. That’s all well and good but at a 260 mile range if I subtract 40% of the battery capacity, that leaves me with a range of only 156 miles. I’m not sure what to think of this. Is this good advice by the dealer?

Almost my favorite mustang

Only $78K for the E-GT...but it's got a nice frunk cooler:) Ok, the 3.5 secs to 60 is fast! Joe laughs! But no Recaros! The front grills are better than most EVs but are still pretty boring. That centre console screen is humongous and very distracting! But I'd use the cash instead and get a super Mustang 350R🤪

The GT is very nice but 78k? Much more expensive than a tesla with less range and slower 0-60 time. Not sure, kind of a tough sell

The Mustang Mach E is a beautiful crossover. Love the body lines and that color really makes those lines pops. Regarding the throttle. Ford sets the throttle to reduce to around 70% after approximately 10 seconds. This is to help increase battery life plus Ford gives you this limited acceleration because most drivers use the full throttle for limited times like passing another vehicle or merging on a highway. Ford's goal is to keep resell values of pre-owned Mach E high by keeping the battery life last longer. Many EV vehicles don't take this into consideration. The Mach E GT is a fun performance car, but I'm guessing in future models. This acceleration controller will be changed or even removed by performance companies like Shelby. This Mach E GT isn't a Porsche and Ford didn't build it or price it like one. It's build as a performance family BEV that can safely handle family outings while providing some spirited driving. If you want to see what a full performance version of the Mach E GT can do in quarter mile passes. Take a look at the Mach E 1400 or Cobra Jet EV driven by Bob Tasca (Tasca Ford). Great review Joe.

Mach, Mustang, GT. All names that shouldn't be associated with this vehicle. Looks much better now and I'm very impressed with these vehicles.

It does seem roomy back there, and I guess it's not the worst interior. The infotainment system and digital cockpit need to be integrated somehow, not tacked on. Not so sure Bill on his channel would be thrilled, especially with the panoramic roof exposing the cabin to the Florida sun. Bill doesn't hide his hatred of the hot weather in Naples. If I were to rent one, I'd include The Cars' "Panorama" album from 1980 with my music, and hope the AC will fight off the radiant heat from above.

I am very happy that Ford made SUV version of Mustang especially for those people who have physical issues or need wheelchair. This is United States where people can achieve their dreams. Person can choose between 2 doors mustang coupe or 4 doors suv mustang. Ford made the right called by making Mustang Mach E including GT version. I hope someday I have both 2 doors mustang coupe and Mustang Mach E GT.

I used to have 2018 Mustang premium package and it had so many issues with electronic parts like memory mirror glitch and lumbar support control breaking after getting it repaired again and again. Does ford always have these issue? I want the mach e mustang but I wonder if it has a lot of these issues

After feeling what 0-60 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds feels like yesterday as of this writing of this comment, I'm over it. I need to get this SUV now, it's that good.

No tax credit and too expensive. I would choose a Model Y performance. The charging network alone is worth it.

That rear windshield wiper on the Mach-E and the Ariya... unfortunate. Surely there is a more aerodynamic (and cooler) option than just sticking it on the back?

Calling this ugly thing a Mustang is terrible. It's a SUV. The pony, the name and the lights doesn't make it a Mustang. A real Mustang has a unique soul.

I just purchased a red GT Performance after they lowered the price and offered 0% financing....the range is a bit lacking as they recommend charging it to 90% = 230 miles, btw....Tesla is 80% = 280 miles. My wife has a Y Dual Motor and it is faster in the 1/4 mile cause it's lighter and passes the GT every time as it doesn't get weaker... after 60mph. However, the Ford feels more car like than a Tesla with a few more hand held controls, Volumn knob, 2 stalks on the steering wheel, better seats and nicer looks inside & out, IMHO.

Not going to lie when I seen these I didnt like it on the internet but in person its a beautiful car.

The seats to are the most comfortable I have found, and that is what counts on a road trip! Good that Ford and Chevy have gone for the N. American standard Tesla charging which increases charge stations dramatically!

My 2024 Mustang Mach E GT in Eruption Green with Bronze Package has the Performance Upgrade..It goes 0 to 60 in 3.3 seconds...I love driving it..Quicker than the ugly Tesla model 3 performance and the Porsche Macan...

I have gotten over it and this is one of my favorite new cars

The mustang started out as a ford falcon then it was a pinto then it was an escort. It's not like the mustang name hasn't been many things. This looks nice like a mustang wagon. I like the custom off road mustangs ppl have made. The hate isn't warranted

It's pretty cool. One thing I wonder is this - when someone wants to sell in say 5 or 6 years to get something new (like a lot of people do with cars), who is going to want to buy a well used electric vehicle whose battery is on the back side of its useful life (and, quite frankly, whose life with the ability to charge well and hold a regular, full charge is unknown)? Not me.

I like it. It's definitely different, and you don't see 'many' on the road except in Michigan where Ford is based. (Moved from Michigan to Texas... you rarely see Mach-E's). However... it is so hard to beat Tesla's infrastructure.... and the recent price drop on the Tesla.... Model Y Performance (with enhanced autopilot +$6k), and with Red Paint - $66,630 total MSRP (No markup) 303 miles range Ford Mach-E GT Performance - $77,990 total MSRP. 260 miles range The Ford is pretty nice though, I'll give it a shot.

it not having a sunshade is also bad for road noise bleed as well. the Volvo xc90's from the 2019 have a moon roof and it lets in so much road noise
