The Stinger GT is still with us and Kia is continuing with this RWD performance sedan. On the outside you will still find that sexy sport back design, 19in wheels and quad-tip exhaust. On the inside there is a full leather interior. Under the hood is a 3.3L twin-turbo V6 that is pumping out 368HP & is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2023 Kia Stinger GT a BETTER luxury sedan than a Mercedes AMG C43?

i have a 2018 GT1 and i love it but, any car on the market should easily last 40k miles with no issue. Most vehicles produced nowadays should be able to last 100k miles with no issues, even if you push it on a daily basis. The real test is 150k-200k miles, considering there are cars from the 90’s still pushing strong at that mileage.

All other brands especially Honda who started the trend doesn't get how to do it right showing both left and right side of the car. The Stinger is really a good car; I've owned two of them-a 2018 GT1, and when my lease was up, a 2020 GT Line since I didn't need all that horsepower. I was a VW/BMW fanboy previously. Alas, my dream car for the past 5 years has been a Giulia, which I finally pulled the trigger on last month after some research and praying the 2022 model I got (just like the Veloce you reviewed not too long ago) would be relatively reliable. I miss my Stinger-the styling makes my heart flutter, and I had ZERO squeaks and rattles on both; excellent build quality and excellent Harmon Kardon. Drivewise, it of course doesn't handle like a Giulia but I'll be damned if the delta between driving fun and balance between the Stinger and Giulia is not too far. A testament to how Kia really knocked it out of the park with this one!

The GT-Line starts at approx 36 and the headlights don't look like poo anymore. LOTS of cars are "locked down" on repo lots and aren't selling at dealer auctions. At some point the floodgates have to open. If you can wait, wait. The best time to buy is when you don't need to. Market is already correcting, and premium sport sedans are going to be one of the "hardest droppers" next to gas-guzzling full SUVs. Trend expected to roll downhill into next year. Nov/Dec is best time to get into CURRENT (and last year unsold) models.

I bought a Stinger 3.3 AWD in July 2020. I have been driving over 100.000 km within 3 years and loved each one. This is a great car, the best I’ve had and I drove it all; Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar XJR, Audi Quattro. Or maybe “the best” is not the right description, the most fun car is a better one. And when on a parking lot it will be the Stinger people are looking at.

Might be a 4 banger in the AMG C43, but that 4 banger dishes out 402hp, as opposed to 368hp here... and only slightly less torque than the Stinger. That's some tech right there. At least $10k cheaper for the Kia though, so that's a lot to consider.

Awesome review!! This is one fine car! I'm leasing the GT-Line. Awesome styling catches stares and sparks up conversations everywhere I go. The proportions make it classically attractive, inside and out, and with the Sun and Sound package you get a sound system with two subs that really delivers rich deep sound. Handling dynamics add to the joy of driving it so it never feels dull or boring plus the additional horsepower/torque give it plenty of pep to get around traffic easily. I high recommend this Grand Tourer to anyone who enjoys driving and doing it in style. Leasing it makes very affordable. I thought of opting for the 6 cylinder but ultimately did not feel the additional money was worth the extra half second faster 0 to 60 time. It's quick and nimble! Besides, you don't want to speed by, you want admirers to get a good view as you cruise by. I searched the market closely and carefully and nothing is as affordable and good looking as this GT-Line Stinger is. Truly the best bang for your dollar! Every time you walk up to it, you'll smile because the Stinger stands out, in the best way, its classy from every angle and so very well proportioned. You will not be disappointed. Best not to wait, get one while you still can and get ready for the stares and conversations that will come your way!

I think too many people get caught up in the looks of the Stinger. I had the 2022 GT2 Stinger and it suffered from a blown head gasket. Its not just the 3.3 V6 its also the 2.5 4-cylinder models. Sad to say but Stingers have cooling system issues and Kia has yet to resolve them. The dealer makes excuses about long wait for recall parts and also varius parts to do repair under warranty. Went to dealer twice already. First time it was fixed, second time it was fixed again and it happened not even 2 months after the repair. Talked to a couple Stinger owners and 1 had same issue on his 2022 Stinger G1. Coincidentally the dealer service area had a Stinger on the lift and I asked a tech what was wrong with it out of curiosity, he said blown head gasket and fuel pump issue and that it was in for repair. I didnt wait for a third time and got rid of it. I think this is why they want to discontinue the Stinger so they can dump the name and go back to the drawing board. The Stinger reminds me of how Pontiac tried to bring back the GTO for 3 years and it failed and eventually Pontiac went with it. THINK TWICE before you get a Stinger, it wont look good sitting up on a lift while they give you a Kia Soul as a loaner.

As the proud owner of a Stinger I test drove a Mercedes C class when I was shopping and the Stinger blew it out of the water in terms of price and how it drove. Super smooth drive. I opted for the 2022 GT Line which still gets 300 hp and has excellent performance with functional acceleration on the highway (who floors it from 0-60 all the time anyways) but if I need to make a move I can go from 70 to 100 mph very easily. Also, the fuel economy is 32-33 mpg highway as it is a V4 turbo. Not to mention the GT Line starts at 37,000; 42,000 for their Sun and sound package (Sun roof and premium audio upgrade) not worth the 5,000 if you ask me, but it depends on who you ask.
