@@danbang6933 never have had an issue. Did have a window chip but dealership filled it right away. Still love it. The only 3 things I wish, but would get in a Range Rover, but that isn't the look I like, is cruise control that senses vehicle speed ahead, auto brake if too close to a car, and massage seats :)

It is also a SMOOTH ride, for a tough looking SUV, it's beautiful to drive.

at this price, it's more comparable to a short Escalade or Denali.

Why would price have any impact on the third row size? A G-Wagon costs $150K and it doesn't have ANY 3rd row. You're getting a Land Rover with state of the art off-road capability for $85K.

Facts

In the 90 & 110 models, u can order the front jump seat option. Row 1 - 3 seats Row 2 - 3 seats That’s why the gear shifter is mounted where it is. A lot of people are buying the 130 model, as a 5 seater. U then have heaps of cargo room, for it to be an overlanding vehicle.

With the 90 & 110 model u can choose a 5 litre Supercharged V8. 130 model not yet available with this motor.

It's not a big vehicle- just tall and boxy. The body is shorter than a Tahoe or Suburban. Basically a Jeep Wrangler 4 door with 14" of extra length on the rear.

My family has a 16 year old Land Rover with 220K miles and it works just fine and has never left us stranded. However, they are expensive to maintain and most owners skip the maintenance and run into lots of pricey problems as a result. We do all the maintenance in the owners manual and it's been perfect since new. Don't believe the Internet hype.

The reviewer made a horrible comparison. The Defender 130 is not a large vehicle-just tall and boxy. It's body length is more than 2 feet shorter than a Suburban and it's also shorter than a Tahoe. It's maybe Lexus LX/Toyota Land Cruiser size.

@@RaitisRidesJoe, In other colours and without the Bright Trim, it looks much better, and less like a hearse. BTW Wheelbase on 130 is SAME as the 110 model ! 130 has about 30 cm of extra length added onto the rear. Departure Angle not as good as 110 model. Previous generation Defender had 90 / 110 / 130 models, which did refer to wheelbase length in Inches. The wheelbase of new generation 90 model is a bit over 90 Inches. Wheelbase of 110 model, is approx 110 Inches. LR carried over the 90 / 110 / 130 naming, as this is what people were used to 90 model always been a 2 door 110 model always been a 4 door 130 model always been a 4 door, with more room In new generation Defender, Row 2 room in 110 / 130 is same. Extra length on rear of 130 allows more room for Row 3 seating / and a lot more cargo room. In a 110 model, Row 3 seats are for two people only, and not as much room, compared to the 130 model.

Reliability is fine if you actually do the maintenance. Most people skip it because they can't afford it. They are complicated vehicles with tons of tech- it's not a Toyota.

@@LeeoGoneWild large SUVs are used by the limousine service industry, that's why you rarely see Land Rovers used and why you see mostly Suburbans, Tahoes, Escalades, Navigators, etc. people that use those types of vehicles love the extra roominess for luggage and people. Limousine service is a BIG market for large SUVs. That's why they mostly use GM, Ford products over others. I'm actually concerned about the Escalade IQ, it's got a lot of tech and it has decent range, but it's still not big enough. I have some friends that operate a limo service and they checked out the Escalade IQ and were not impressed by the size. They think it's too small. Good range, lots of tech/luxury but not big enough. With the Limousine market customers are finicky, they want LOTS of room as they are paying top dollar for that type of service. Limo companies have large parking areas so they aren't concerned about fitting in a standard garage. They either park in an outdoor parking lot or an indoor warehouse. These companies should be concerned about those large markets unless they don't want that business. that's why you don't see many Land Rovers to Escalades, Navigators, and the other large SUVS. its' both width and length that's important along with the luxury amenities and appointments. For the smaller noncommercial environment, sure, but that's why Land Rover doesn't have lots of sales to limo companies.
