This is why I still prefer a hybrid over fully electric. Hybrid means you get the best of both worlds.

Great video. Amazing details and extremely well explained. One suggestion... I really wanted to hear the car, especially when you were on the track at full throttle, so maybe consider letting the car talk next time. I'm sure it's difficult to keep it zipped when you get that awesome feeling. I know I would, too. The engine -power sounds I did hear were incredible! It's hilarious how a lot of old heads are complaining about "oh, it's now just another generic supercar and is no longer a Corvette". Like brah, it's called growth and evolution while avoiding stagnation. I like where they are going with the E-Ray. It gives the best of both worlds and I believe most cars should go this route moving forwards until battery technology has caught up to what we need for full electrification to be a viable option. People keep forgetting that EV development (particularly battery technology) has lagged behind for the most part in the past century due to how cheap oil was until recently.

That pushrod V8 and electric motor sounds like a well-orchestrated symphony working together.

You can tell the driver was having a really good time,driving that car. That sold me,if anyone has a $100,000 that they could spare I'm the guy.

honestly, i didn’t really care for the regular C8. but this one is just soooo good. not cause it has electric motors, but the way they implemented it’s use to make it functional and not change the true identity of a Corvette. More grip, more power, more functional without sacrificing anything really!

I’m not gonna hide the fact I’m not a fan of electrification of vehicles mostly due to the cost to replace the batteries & the loss of the sound a V8 gives you. But this right here is an electric vehicle I can get excited about. And the noise the electric motor gives you in combination with that pushrod V8 reminds me of a supercharger whine. Great job GM/Chevrolet!!! Now I just need to win the lottery to buy one. Corvettes have always been one of my dream cars to own.

Without a doubt, this is the one to own. IMO, way more efficient than full electric and none of the charging headaches.

Great job, Joe! I've been on my local dealers Z06 list for a few years but I got added to the E-Ray list as well, we will see which allocation comes up first! This definitely sounds like it will be a great daily driver car!

Fantastic presentation Joe! And great video capture that Lori always does. I am pleased that the frunk dimensions are still equivalent to the Stingray.. My 2022 Z51 only has 1600 miles on it but I am impressed with the ERay! Can't wait to get on the configurator!

This is an amazing offering by Corvette. All-wheel drive and front regenerating electric plus the great small block in the rear. Don't have to plug it at night either. Love it.

Amazing car, very excited about it! Question for you: I noticed on the grey cut out car there seemed to a green hue as in pearl in the paint. If that is true, color me extra excited as this color has been what I have wanted forever. But,I also saw the white one at certain angles had a green hue in it as well. Is it the lighting causing this? Or does that grey have green highlights?

Although the All-Electric Corvette is inevitable in a couple years or earlier, I prefer the Hybrid E-Ray because you can Always find a gas station ⛽ to fill gas But there'll Still Not be Enough Charging Stations for the All-Electric cars, especially when your electric battery dies 🤔

Raiti's Rides provided THE BEST Video of the E-Ray (and I have watched several) and here is why: 1. The video production was excellent. 2. Loved the detail on the specs and the cutaway. Your homework shows! 3. You looked like you were an 10 year old riding your first Cedar Point rollercoaster during the "on throttle". Loved the synched reaction front camera/ inside the cabin at the same time. How did you mount that set up in a vehicle in which you were a passenger? 4. You explained you were in Milford (amazing how others did not provide proper context for what was going on) and you gave "air time" to the GM Engineer to just talk for a while. His passion really came through. Please let me know when you will be in Detroit again so I can personally deliver to you a bag of Zingermans Coffee that you can use as a new unit of measurement for storage space. Thanks again!
