Let's also not forget about the 1997 Porsche 911 GT1 Straßenversion. Many people tend to forget about the GT1 since it lived in the CLK GTR and F1 GTR's shadow. Plus, I believe the GT1 Straßenversion is the rarest out of the three and it's also the rarest out of Porsche's supercars. Granted, I think the GT1 Straßenversion isn't legal in the US so that could explain why many people here may be unaware that it exists.

An incredible vehicle, and unlike many other manufacturers concept cars, Porsche tends to actually make them. i imagine in 10 years a new battery tech will arrive and make kind of car actually affordable (and nimble). Current battery tech makes the cars too heavy to be zippy. You can't fling around 5000 lbs. It's just physics. The Cayman is 2900 lbs. I would love to see a serial hybrid porsche, where you make a tiny gas powered generator running axial flux motors on each wheel. The Edison Motors truck has proven in testing that it uses half the fuel of a regular giant logging truck per mile, and i am sure Porsche could come up with a teeny engine that blows everyone's minds. I would also like to see a serial hybrid with a turbine engine in it.

Mission X seems like a suitable name for an electrified vehicle.

The Mission X is definitely an insane car from Porsche. Just from the looks alone, it looks like an all out race car and I love the fact that it doesn’t have a giant rear wing in the back. I really hope that they keep the rear mounted cameras on the production model as the car actually looks good without mirrors. I’m definitely bummed out that it’s electric as they could of easily used the V8 hybrid setup from the 963 and put it into this car with a few adjustments. But considering what they did with the Taycan, this is for sure going to be a thrilling driving experience, even though there may not be an exhaust note to listen to in the background. Definitely interested if the Mission X will be able to beat the Mercedes-AMG One which currently holds the fastest time around the ring with a f1 engine. One thing that I know for sure is that Porsche never disappoints.

You should edit your videos to include photos and overlays of the things you're speaking about. For example the Porsche 959 you use as a talking point.

I love the look of the Mission X but it is not better then the 918 Spyder, since every time I think of the 918 I remember seeing a video of someone driving it on a track at night and you could see flames come out the top which was where the exhaust was but an electric car can never do that

The rush to electrification is a huge mistake. We will be riding in gasoline-powered vehicles for another 50 years. Do the math. The electric infrastructure is costly and currently minuscule compared to the needed requirements.
