I bought a preowned 2022 SS 1LE with 3300 miles back in May and it does not disappoint. The tremec manual is awesome. The exhaust in track mode is music to my ears. Will be keeping it for a long time.

Alpha chassis cars RULED for a long time in this category against all the European and Japanese sedan class cars. The Camaro or Cadillacs are FAR more than most people realize because of their TUNING capabilities to extract its true performance on the track. GM is the absolute king of neutral handling at the limit that had road course lap times to prove it. In todays world of sports cars, its the chassis that matters. GM always gives you a further ahead starting point than anybody including BMW.

Best Camaro review ever! I’ve seen almost everyone review out there! Bought a brand new ‘23 Camaro 2SS with magnetic ride control. Worth every penny and dime. Same reaction I have every time I hear the cracks and pops. How I chose the Camaro against the other ones was based on sound.

I am a three Camaro owner I have a 2023 3LT and I don’t care about the V8 and racing my car. I like it because it’s dependable. The other two Camaros I had was totaled out and traded the 2019 convertible in for the 3LT. I can’t say to much about the 2023 Camaro. But the 2012 RS and the 2019 lt convertible all cars was awesome. Loved them and dependable ❤🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

@22:07 you should have mentioned the side mirror tilt down option (default is OFF,) Now owning one, i find the side mirrors tilt down in reverse is a blessing! You can see the ground where you are backing into. Easily changed using the 8 inch infotainment screen. Should be ON by default, IMO

2SS 1LE, and you have one of the fastest track weapons on Earth (with decent creature comforts) for approximately $55,000. Still faster than the Dark Horse and BMW M4 on track. Similar performance on track to Cayman GT4. GM is canceling one of the best performance vehicles for the money ever made.

2024 1SS with nothing more than slicks ran 11.86 @ 117.49. Its an honest beast. With the 10 speed and foot braking from 1500rpm.

I bought a 2017 blacked out Camaro 2ss off the showroom floor...first time in my life to do so. It was my dream car! It was so gorgeous all black with adrenaline red interior. Made me absolutely sick to have to trade it in because of the troublesome A8 transmission GM did nothing about to remedy for me! I traded it in on a 2019 manual Camaro ss before warranty ran out. Loved the '17 auto still more though! Shame on GM not replacing the bad a8 trans!

As someone who had 2017 2SS 2017 bmw 340i and 2019 5.0 PP1 the Camaro is the best car I had and handling is unreal for any car I’ve driven under 100k.

I totally dissagree on the interior,I hate the interior on the S650 ,I was considering ordering a darkhorse but wen i finally seen the interior on the 24 mustang i then ordered a 24 2SS 1LE That should be here soon

Excellent vid, I have watched many this is arguably your best. Loved the intro with the archival footage. These are great vehicles unfortunately going away once again. The worst part of the LT1 Camaro is the GM recommended 1,500 mile break-in period, keeping the RPM's under 4,000 and the speed under 80MPH.

As someone who tracks a 6th gen SS, if doing a track build, the only keeper in the entire 1LE package is the PTM. A traditional mechanical LSD is preferred over the computer controlled elsd. Its just more predictable. PTM however, will give you much better throttle application exiting corners unless you're a god tier driver who doesn't need it. The brakes... you can get 1LE front calipers brand new for about $800 for the pair. Rotors are consumable and will be done in a few track days. People swear by the big money AP racing kits, but the 1LE calipers work just fine with some good rotors and pads. Magride can be reprogrammed with the 1LE spec, or custom spec with stiffer springs using DSC Sport. On a non magride car, coils or DSSV from the ZLE are an option. The Recaros in the 1LE are not up to true track duty. Wheels and tires should be swapped to 18 or 19 inch. One thing that isn't talked about on the 1LE package is the stiffer bushings in all the suspensions components. On a track build, these will be replaced with ball joints anyway. Really if you're a track rat looking to build a track car, the 1LE package is a waste. Get a 1SS and go from there, or go all out and get the ZL1 1LE, but I'd rather have a C7 Z06 at that point.

i got myself a 2021 2SS and tbh the rare view camera just helps so much with blind spots and same with sensors on the mirrors and in the back camera, come with led lights inside and a sunroof, i’m keeping my camaro as long as possible

Mustang in those years went from 425hp to 460hp to 500hp now so that comment are they just not comfortable with the coyote platform is probably one of the most ignorant I’ve heard in a while!

TBH There is nothing I dont like about my 2016 2ss I came from a 2007 350Z and the camaro blind spot that people complain about is non existent since the Z was worse and didnt have a back up camera. Will probably make this a legacy car and pass down to my kids

I'm still enjoying my 2016 SS which I think looks the best. She is still low miles with 39000. Trans and tuned everything else is bone stock and loving it.

90+% of 2SS owners ( and by far reviewers amd sales people) don't know the 2SS has a default normal backup rear side mirror that can be changed easily to down tilt! You can choose a side, or both to downtilt in reverse! A GAME CHANGER! Like typical CHEVY, no marketing of the Camaro, no dealership education. Engineering at GM must be livid their ideas and implimentation is not noticed! I have more "easter eggs" if interested.

My first car was a 95 camaro. I plan on buying one of these years. At first I was convinced in buying a 6speed but looks like you can't go wrong with this stout 10speed auto. I will hold on to it for decades an will be a survivor car.

@7:30 when he mentions body roll being rectified by 1LE he is absolutely right. I own an LT v6 2023 and got it bone stock, immediately swapped for 1le sways and better coilovers. There is absolutely zero body roll now. Good stuff to keep in mind.

Great review. Im torn between this and a S650. The Camaro feels so much better, but since it would be my only car, most say the Mustang makes more sense because it's more practical.

I may be in the minority here, but there really isn't anything in the 2ss I can't live without. 1ss seemed fine for me.

I don't think GM was trying to compete with BMW when it came to interior or seating capacity. The SS was the last vehicle that GM attempted that with. For the money the SS is one hell of a package that punches way above its weight class. I'm glad to see a video that take the time to go into the advantages of the regular SS. The 1LE videos are a dime a dozen. I own a 6th Gen SS and my only complaint is that HUD should have been standard in all SS models.

I have a 2023 1SS black with aluminum wheels. I'm telling you this car gets everyone in their feelings and I don't know why. There is no such thing as going for a casual ride, whether to the store, mall, coffee shop, or on the freeway. There is always some ridiculous driver looking for attention or an attempt to get one over on me. Even when I'm parked, eating lunch on a 30 mph road, they will zoom behind me at 40+ mph, I guess to just get on my nerves or convince themselves that they have a more powerful car, which I doubt. But anyway, I love this SS and maybe they do also but can't get pass their egos 😂
