It's nice to see Cadillac try to regain his true Roots as the makers of the world's finest automobiles. I've always thought Cadillac should have had a model to compete with Rolls-Royce and Bentley. It's good that they have an ambition to compete with Rolls or Bentley, but c'mon, putting LEDs and brushed aluminum pieces on a car that at it's best can compete with Audi doesn't bring you to that level. And if someone even pays 300k for that, 2 years later it will be worth 100k at most. Why don't they stick with distinctive design ideas from 50s - 70s and make it modern to look like a proper Cadillac. Their designs from 2000s onwards are jumping all over the place and none of the cars look like true Cadillacs from the era they were most glorious and recognized throughout the world.
@bigrr64

@@capriceHR that's a fair point, let's just see how it plays out and what kind of vehicles they actually put on the market. Your correct, just because are in the same price range as rolls and Bentley doesn't mean you're really on the same level.

I really like how Cadillac implemented some of its design heritage: like the nice big C-pillar, iconic vertical tail lights, and the 2-spoke chromed steering wheel. (The vertical headlight kinda remind me of the stacked headlights that were a craze is the 60s) It's beautiful and elegant, although out of most buyers' price point xD I hope Cadillac encourages future auto makers to add some classical stylistic cues rather than just creating that generic "futuristic" look.

I LOVEEE how they finished the rear hatches interior surroundings. Most vehicles companies don't think people see that area, or that it just doesn't matter. It sure does to me, it is the little details like that that shows it is a quality vehicle. I remember in the early 2000s most vehicle trunk lids were just bare painted (no clear coat) metal. When vehicles had carpet lined lids that was an indicator you bought a quality vehicle. I think I first noticed them on VW's. Now I think most or all vehicles have that. Now it has switched to steering wheel stalks, making them look and feel high quality with piano black or aluminum accents. Hyundai and Genesis vehicles have some of my favorites. I think it's important that anything you often touch has a quality look and feel to it. One thing I hate is on GM trucks that have steering wheel stalk transmission shifters. They are so cheap and plasticy, and where the plastic is molded together it's not perfectly sanded smooth. That is just not acceptable in my opinion.

I love these big sedans. They are so spacious, comfortable and opulent. I don’t know why car manufacturers are trying to phase them out. We like these cars, we just need better technology. You have so much space in these large sedans that you can put large battery packs and a tank of gas, so a plug-in hybrid with AWD would be amazing. If they could give us a sedan with 100 miles EV range and 400 miles on gas, this would be a game changer!

That is one gorgeous Cadillac, absolutely stunning, and the quality of the finishes and the technology I think, are going to be impossible to beat from any manufacturer, and my family, well, my mom loves Cadillac, she has a 2020 Cadillac CT4 sport and they love it, but this new Cadillac I definitely think will be the king of luxury when it comes out, absolutely no question

I’m curious as to how you will load and unload heavier items from the rear of the vehicle without scratching the paint or throwing your back out. I was expecting the rear end where the hatch closes to drop down in a clam shell fashion.

Finally Cadillac has found its long lost identity of making ultra high end, lavish gigantic sedans… They do nail at making some serious sport sedans, but germans can do that too. THIS is what ONLY Caddy can do. I’m glad!

Cadillac is making a statement and they knocked this out of the park in my opinion. There is nothing like this vehicle. Mercedes benz, BMW, Audi, Ferrari, Lamborghini. Potato, potattto. No matter how you slice this thing it looks Insane. Hope I get to check one out in person sometime

I have owned 3 Cadillacs almost in a row, the one thing I have noticed is the fit and finish keeps improving. Also all the "gimmicks" have all but disappeared. They just seem (my opinion of course) to have everything right where it belongs. I started driving in 1968 so have driven quite a few cars nice to see an American car trying to make a comeback. There is a fully restored V-16 roaming around here fire engine red what a car!

Don’t forget the cadillac celestiq branded Twinkies!! What’s the difference between a Celestiq Twinkie and a regular Twinkie? It gives the Cadillac you’re driving 5 extra horsepower and extends the range by 10 minutes per Twinkie,also in turn makes the on throttle action 10 times better!!😊😊 Excellent first look and amazing camera work as always Lori! I’m also curious if Cadillac is making a high performance EV to compete with those other brands.
