It’s a well built tripod. My only issue with it is height.

@@Deweybing yep, I hear you on that point. But like you, I have a bigger and heavier tripod that goes taller for when i’m not concerned with carry weight.

@@Deweybing Dewey, I just received my Benro Tortoise, same model as this one you reviewed. Jeez O’ man what an incredibly well made tripod! Though pricey, it feels worth every penny. The attention to detail is just wonderful. Thanks for your review that helped me get comfortable placing my order for it. Best regards, Craig

Thanks for making this Dewey. I do a lot of wide angle landscapes where I'm low to the ground, I'm considering this tripod or perhaps a size up.

It’s a good tripod. If you you don’t mind the added weight there is a taller version that is just as good. Thanks for the comment

Very nice, it's been hard to find reviews on the 14c model. I hike a lot and use a 200mm lens as a maximum, I'm also only 5feet tall. I'm looking to buy this one, and hope that it does well in wind and reduced micro shakes on the zoom lens, (and not have to upgrade to the heavier models) do you have any opinion on that?

I think you will be alright. Carbon fiber works better in high wind in my opinion.

Yes they do. I have never measured how close to the ground you can get.

Exactly the content I'm looking for. Thank you for reviewing it. It seems to be a lot bulkier than the PD ones. How do you feel about the durability since now you've used for 11 months?

Durability is great. My only complaint is the overall height of the tripod. I wish it was taller. Thanks for the comment
