I purchased this backpack after watching multiple videos of yours on different backpacks. Love the breakdowns on all the different backpacks you make. I couldn't ever find the right BP, and I hope this will do the job for me. Also, new subscriber here! Just so you know and maybe can make use of future audiences such as my self watching your videos, my days are longs and really dynamic, . I work in tech, do photography, and go to the gym as well, I occasionally have business trips for 1-2 days as well. I do all the other things (excluding travel) almost 3-4 times a week especially if I go into the office. The main stuff I carry are, the MBP 14, an iPad 12.9, books and notebooks, gym equipment, and my main DSLR. I think this backpack with the separate camera component does it all for me and this video kind of sold it for me. For example, I could be in the office, go for lunch with my colleagues, and can now take my camera in a separate bag (SAFELY). I can take this to the gym with me, and also carry it around in the gym, because I don't like to put my bag in lockers because (London) and the stuff I carry is REALLY expensive. So I think this bag can be easily carried around in the gym, knowing my tech equipment won't be damaged when I drop or place/move the bag around a lot (correct me if I'm wrong here) or if you think it's not sturdy enough. Dunno about the travel part, but I can imagine it being enough for a day or 2.

The verge-case doesn't take up any space in the pack if you attach it to the buckles on the side. And the waist strap has 3 different uses, the one seen in your video, a shoulder strap for the verge-case and a waist strap for the verge-case (kind of like a fanny pack). Good review but one to many flashing texts.

Good review. I do like how your backpack reviews are structured. Questions: 1. It looks like the shoulder straps have load lifters. Does this pack have any internal framing to really handle weight? 2. Overall how much does this pack weigh empty with that fieldspace and vergecase? Does it feel heavy? I personally am beginning to find heavy packs when empty to be a downer 3. When you extend that vergecase to hold larger lenses, does it still fit side-ways into the pack? 4. Does the laptop compartment have a separate tablet sleeve? 5. How does having one compression strap on one side of the bag supposed to work? Does it actually keep the pack shape slim if you put less stuff or compressible stuff into the main compartment? 6. You mention the outside material is like a school backpack. My old school packs allowed water to eventually soak through while walking in the rain for 30 minutes.. How water-resistant are these materials? Most of my old camera backpacks and hiking packs and rain covers. 7. Is there a pass-through to hook this pack on the handle of rolling luggage?

I'd reach out to Boundary Supply for your questions 🤘🏼
@Genuint
@Genuint 3 жыл бұрын
1. Really stiff but no solid framing. 2. Considering all of the things this pack comes decked out with I'd say no. Although it's not a light pack eighter, it's what you could expect from a pack this size and with all this functionality. 3. Yes. 4. The tablet sleeve is in the fieldspace. 5. It doesn't. It's not a compression strap, it's there to secure a tripod for example. 6. Fell into the water while kayaking and some stuff definitely got soaked. Haven't had any problems at all with heavy rain though. 7. I've used the opening behind the backplate for that, works.

Agree on the top handle, disagree on the side one. I've had this bag for years now, and when it's packed super tight and you want to take it down from overhead bins, a 2-hand 2-handle grab is just great, and the small-footprint side handle is just right for the job.

@@Nomads.Nation All the people who have tried it say it is a bit heavy, so I suspect it to be more than 2 kg with its 2 inserts. Also, once the verge case is inside, comments say it takes all the inner space, and you cannot even put a bottle in the external mesh pocket (too tight). These are 2 flaws which will make me step aside this bag.

Hey Aaron, I am a touring musician and I have been using a Peak Design 30L for the last couple years but I've kind of fallen out of love with it. I currently have a Boundary Errant bag and I love it so I was looking to swap the Peak for the Prima. I'm debating either going that route or getting something like the Topo Global Traveler (or another black hole type bag) and using a bunch of packing cubes / organizational bags to house all my gear, with the benefit of that being that I could keep my gear out of the bag and use it as an EDC when not on the road. Right now I just keep my PD loaded out with my gear so I can't use it for any other purpose. I can give you a more detailed break down of what I'm packing out but any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks! Chris

That blue and white arrow transition is hella annoying. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if it's just one arrow passing through but 2 is just too much. You don't need transition to roll up a B-Roll clip. It should only be use when transitioned into another chapter so it won't feel too overwhelming. The whole video feel "over-edited"

@@Nomads.Nation thanks, was about to pull the trigger. You still recommend it? Is it possible to use it as a 2 day carry on? I also like the ability to use it for when I have a camera too.

@@DUHM08 Boundary just got back to me and they are not giving us a new code, so we are pulling them all down today. Sorry dude! Maybe wait to see if there are any Black Friday deals. If you still want to support our channel, be sure to use the first link in the description 🙏

Hi Aaron, I really like this video, but there are way too many cuts and transitions in that video, as well es way too many texts - in my opinion. It seems like this video is made for an audience with ADHD that will get bored if not given a visiual cue every 30-60 sec. Btw., 80% of my backpacks are (coyote) brown. The other 20% are multicam.

Hey Alexander, appreciate the feedback and totally agree. This video is older, if you look at our newer reviews you'll see that we turned the intensity down a bit :)

Different bags different systems! I think the Prima is a bit better - everything works in unison a bit more seamlessly imo. But both are great 👍🏽

Not concerned about the material having some BS story. Get over that! Good grief!
