IMO - What makes DayZ so special is the atmosphere. The lighting, the ambient sounds. The wash of relief as you finally see sunrise coming. The trees shaking in the wind. How wonderful and warm a fire feels and sounds on Namalsk. A gunshot from miles away.

Definitely needs zombies. Its not dayZ without the zeds, it's just DAY. Also melee weapons. Both of these are an absolute must.

I really hope we get survival games that have big cityscapes with skyscrapers that you can barricade a full hotel floor in, a megamall (Like in Zomboid but better graphics) not every map set in Skryvonia, Badronia or Rakezonia or some Eastern European village setting.

You cant beat the feeling of DayZ standalone, the weather. movements everything

It certainly looks great for what it is, but I play DayZ for the atmosphere and the stark dichotomy between bleak ruination and beautiful scenery.

Based on what i see in this Video, i have some Suggestions. 1. The Environment looks to groomed, considering there are almost no Humans alive(Lore). Things like overturned trees, overgrown fences and so on are missing. Washed out roads. 2.Finding cars that still work is not the problem, dead batteries ok makes sense. However the fuel would be the key. How to get it. You would need to make it yourself. (Diesel) 3. If it would be possible to choose which traits a character has. Mechanic, Carpenter... That would give incentive's to playing together. Because not every character could do anything. Electrician

I noticed in the first second was the graphics. One thing I would like to see is that ghilie suits blend in better instead of sticking out like a sore thumb.

It's shaping up to be one of the best mods out there. Definitely makes me wonder if there is a fresh new game in the works. Thanks for coming back to this mod.

I’ve always said if they really want to truly improve dayz they would remake it on a new engine, with what this is shaping up to maybe they’ll do that with the new competition

Foraging. Always thought Day Z could do with more wild berries and mushrooms. Also could make poison with toxic mushrooms and berries.

Bro I'm excited for the day that DayZ 2 becomes its own standalone

Camps, AI and missions all needed for a real Arma feel.

Wishlist. Hunting - fishing - farming. Caravan camps with added tents, campfires and storage trailers. Food prepping, aka drying, canning, preserving. Ammo, clothing, tools crafting. Just to name a few.

I remember the first time I played dayz I had headphones on, standing game in a woodland the wind picked up the trees started creaking leaves rustling.. it was very immersive. That’s what makes a good game, sounds, lighting, and all the other jazz. To make a better original game it should be very similar just fix the shit physics.

One thing I would like to see as a mod in DayZ or in this Reforger mod is variation in animal trophy appearances. To be able to choose a deer or boar, etc that has better antlers or tusks would add a great collectible tangent to the game for base builders or even just folks collecting screen shots

This mod might actually bring me back to Dayz

Aspects of the original Origins (Taviana) I miss : 3X versions of houses to build vis recipe , Fortress, scrap armored car, junk heli & AI island w/ Mayor's mansion

I think the character models are the same ones used in vigor which is a console only game. The movement is pretty similar

Just being able to drive a vehicle for more than 10 minutes before getting lagged out would make it 100% better than Dayz... 😅

i think that if dayz 2 had a map system in vanilla like how the modded servers are that would be a major improvement. Like how on some modded servers where when you find a map you get to look at the map by pressing m. thats the concept i was trying to say XD also if the vehicles were actually driveable without flying or d-syncing every 2 minutes

This reminds me of watching FrankieOnPcIn1080P back in the day with the arma 2 day z mod

They need diving gear for when your shoot Helis down in the water plus they can have quest to ship wrecks or subs maybe even underwater cities like Atlantis. And they need a way to build your own bunker/storm shelter. With trenches for more base defenses. Also bring in the M-203 that can attach to m-16 M4 even the AK variant launcher.

The longest video game session lasted 138 hours and 34 seconds.

this mod needs.... cars that work more mods for guns more building density to fill open space and increase pvp

I always thought that a more intricate cqc / melee system with some varied stealth takedowns would make a good sequel upgrade.

For heading, 360 is North, 180 is South, so that makes 270 West and 90 East :D Hope that helps you, I wouldn't have understood the russian signs either :P

For military rifles if they were designed to accept bayonets. Would be a good feature especially if you have no ammo. Running down on someone with such a weapon combo and getting a kill faster than a knife fight with the blunt force of a bunt stroke with the rifle butt.

They need a clearer to read compass and the distance viewing is needing balancing for sure! Ammo is too far away from the guns to be accurate. Great video! ❤

I think the compass is showing degrees. 0 degree is north and 180 is south.

I would like to see cars and helicopters with a actually key like days epoch, base building like days origins, 2 missions going on on the server, team group system, if you find a wheel and scrap metal you can craft a bicycle and if you find also a motor you can craft a motorbike. Is it ask for too much to have a proper Dayz 2 experience? I'm waiting for that at least 7 years

I quite like the little code-locks. Forces you to let your guard down while you're trying to open it. Would be even better if it forced you into a 1st person perspective.

Does anybody know performance wise how this game compares to dayz? It looks really smooth from everyone I've seen playing it, but I suspect most of these people are running 3080's or 4080's, so that's not a surprise. Is it a demanding game overall, or is it more like dayz?

Comparing this mod with dayz is like comparing a Lada with Mercedes tbh

To be better than dayz itd have to have extra animals like birds you can hunt or small game kinda other than just rabits

Dayz from mod to standalone to mod again.

reforger is basically arma 3 so just make it arma 2 dayz but in reforger and it will be perfect bring back the armed helis cars etc etc

In any next gen mod my opinion would be please add more towards said player to have to be more articulate about all eating and drinking, body temperature and equipment condition and more variety of real world firearms

they should of just transferred all the character models from Arma 3. Only thing is I want to see more customization like Scum has. Tall and fat? , tiny and skinny?, Muscular?, Tats?, Skin Shader to capture all skin colors, etc

from what i have played, it lacks the survival aspect, med system, hunting fishing. i did see a content creator living in a treehouse base on OriginZ 's reforger server, it looked like stick built, nothing like bb+ or vanillla dayz so i couldnt tell if it was a p.o.i. or if it was built. looked awesome though.
