Excellent review! I’ve had my GR8FLEX machine about the same amount of time and am also very satisfied with it. I’ve been very pleased with the responsiveness of customer service too. I’m glad you provided that tip awhile back and highlighted here about the washers you added to the top of the machine. I bought a couple of thicker plastic washers that did the trick for me: very cheap and effective. Also, the Total Gym handles (which I initially saw from the Hybrid Resistance guy Mike’s KZfaq clip) are a nice change of pace, but are more of an inexpensive luxury item and not a necessity. I’m interested on how it compares to your recent Total Gym XLS purchase. Their current combination deal of their dumbbells and sliding bench is a great idea. I’m looking forward to seeing what else they’re about to come up with. Nice clip!

Thank you William - I would imagine the thicker plastic washers would work better considering the material is not as hard as the metal on the GR8FLEX. Glad those are holding up for you. I’ve used the XLS for about a month now and have most of the pros and cons down. I also purchased the Total Gym Fit (still in the box) and will be doing an unboxing/review in the near future as well. Absolutely love my gr8flex. Had one problem and within a week they shipped a new bench and frame. Great product backed by excellent customer service.

This sliding style gym is an interesting concept. Right now I have an X3 and some spinlock DBs (and recently the Nordic GHD from Freak Athlete and a Tib Bar Solo from Tib Bar Guy). I live in a pretty small place, so am trying to prioritize space savings. I'm somewhat resigned to eventually springing for the Trainer+ from Vitruvian, but this is an interesting style of device to consider too.

The X3 is on my list of fitness equipment to purchase. I think resistance band training is interesting and I’ve seen results from it. Be sure and compare the GR8FLEX with the Total Gym before making any purchasing decisions. Let me know if you ever have any questions, I’d be glad to answer them.

Thanks for this review and your many videos. A question for you: It appears on your tower settings that you are mostly at the top of the tower level settings for a lot of your movements. Given that you are maxing out, the tower resistance, how are the 90 pound resistance bands holding out for you? Do they offer a significant additional resistance for you to keep progressing? Or are you topped out so to speak? Also, does GR8FLEX have any plans to add more resistance in the future?

You are very welcome! Yes, the 90# bands are sufficient for my high intensity exercises. I wouldn’t say I am topped out on the 90# bands yet. In some cases I wear a 20# weight vest using 75% of the upgraded bands for increased resistance/intensity, so that is another option to increase resistance. Also, there is enough room to double up the bands (using the standard bands plus the upgraded bands) but I haven’t found a need to do that yet. Maybe in the future! GR8FLEX mentioned that they have some exciting things coming in the near future but has not shared the details with me yet. Evidently there is more to come!

@@MyHomeGym_ When you contact GR8FLEX again, mention there is an upgrade they can do to the large Squat platform. They should make the board with a tactile/rubberized coating that can grip soles of shoes better. I just bought this off of Amazon and while it does add to my Total Gym FIT, it would be even better if the coating was rubberized tactile in nature
