Although usually overlooked, sickness and health usually stems from the gut.
As modern technology advances, chronic disease continues to rise. Many times the treatment leads to other problems. In this root cause approach to sickness and health, Dr. Yousef Elyaman will discuss the source of most chronic disease, the gut.
Yousef Elyaman, MD, IFMCP, is a board-certified internist with a cross-specialization in pediatrics. He was one of the first IFM Certified Functional Medicine practitioners in the world. Dr. Elyaman is the author of the upcoming book Ignite Your Healing Power: How to Reverse Disease and Feel Fantastic. He is also a prolific public speaker who has given hundreds of lectures to the general public as well as to medical practitioners. His teaching approach, while based in science and research, is crafted to be accessible to all.Dr. Elyaman was born in Chicago and raised in Florida. He is the eldest of 15 siblings, all of whom are either practicing physicians or working towards a career in health care.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

This answers alot of questions. Most don't look at the root cause. Some dont even run teat, or sit long enough with a patient to even fully understand what the patient is trying to explain. Literally writing the prescription before you are trying to explain. This is really good. I now know the route I need to go.

Cheers for the Video! Forgive me for chiming in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you ever tried - Schallingora Complete Resetting Scheme (do a google search)? It is a good one off guide for curing arthritis without the headache. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my close friend Aubrey at very last got cool success with it.

I am a pediatrician in GA, just starting my journey with IFM. I thoroughly enjoyed your Ted talk. You simplified some very complex processes and illuminated ways to heal and recover from our modern lifestyle choices that are at the root of all of our health problems ! I can't wait to apply this knowledge to my pediatric patients who are starting to show signs of chronic diseases too early in life !

We all now or later find life not so easy especially after all the incredible fast/junk food we eat with those Big👀 we want what we want. Reality self discipline can only bring health and all the good to come with IT.. I know l am 75.. And now have concern for the planet and all it's earthly resources. Do yourself a great favor and listen to this good doctor and his good mind to share the truth.. WAKE UP..

I am 25 and 4 months ago developed scary autoimmune issues and cannot find diagnosis or cause. Functional medicine has given me hope when other doctors have told me there is nothing wrong with me and try and put me on anti depressants and anti anxiety meds. I will definitely be seeing one soon as I now have Sjogrens and god knows what else. Thank you for what you do.

Eat only meat, fish and eggs for a couple of weeks and you'll be a different person. Then you begin to add green vegetables to your diet until you discover what might be effecting you. Pure butter is fine and cream. NOT MILK. until you're sure nothing else is effecting you. Best of luck. Wait at lest a week between everything you add.

It is true what the symposium presenter said, as most diseases are related to the digestive system and food, especially the gut microbiome, which consists of beneficial bacteria and beneficial fungi, which should be in balance with harmful bacteria and fungi and beneficial bacteria, for example, that has a role in digestion, absorption of vitamins and minerals, and protection of the intestinal wall from bacteria. It prevents harmful substances from entering the bloodstream and also has a role in the psychological and nervous state, and forms immunity،All of these roles contribute to fighting diseases, when an imbalance occurs in the beneficial bacteria, a range of diseases appear

@lola18704
@lola18704 3 жыл бұрын
I had one last year and had it surgically removed. You need to find out if you have crihns disease. Fissures are a symptom of it. It you do have crohns , watch this video again and use the same regime of the 2nd patient with the leaky gut. That's where the root is. Delete gluten and dairy and artificial sugar . If you do have an autoimmune disease like crohns , feel free to reach out to me . I'm no expert but I've healed myself from it naturally . Best of luck to you
