I didn't know we had a Canadian option! Super stoked. I see one in my future. I had a 2019 Skidoo Tundra LT for 3 years. I loved it, but the logistics of loading, transport, storage, maintenance, etc. in a small modular home in Yellowknife with no yard or garage. Nope! This would be awesome for hunting, camping and trail grooming.

Thanks for the video. I bought a SnowDog a few years ago. As you say, it doesn't replace a snowmobile, but it is much easier to get unstuck, an since it is narrower, it will go to places the snowmobile or ATV won't. I just bought a snowmobile, but I am keeping the tracked sled. I am glad to see that we came-up with a Canadian version of the Russian SnowDog.

I have a Homebuilt tracksled for a quarter of the price of new, but the thing I like most about these Tracksleds is their versatility, I love ice fishing, and most of all adding 3 sleds to the back making it a train and then taking the girls for a rip through town, grabbing groceries, going for a coffee or head out onto the lake for early ice. Super light, fits into the back of my Van and uses very lil gas.. Next to no maintenance which beats a Snowmobile

Man for $4k you can get a _really_ nice used snowmobile. For 4k you can get three or four old vintage sleds and make some DIY track sleds. Very cool idea with a great utilitarian use. This really reminds me of ARGO and those mondo 2 wheel drive mini bike/motorcycle things you'd find on the back pages of magazines. :D

I grew up on the old original machines, started driving a 63 skidoo with a whopping 6 hp! I owned an original hus-ski 444 and also a model 600. I was going to buy a snowdog for next winter but I’m definitely checking these guys out. It would be a great utility machine for our trail filled property, hauling wood out and ice fishing. Not to mention grooming our narrower trails here. Thanks for the review guys. The only thing missing was a link to the Husky site. 👍👍

I love it.... They have something like this in the Philippines except its a big single cylinder diesel tiller. It's called a Kalig-lig and they use them in the flooded rice fields. When not in the field, they take off the paddles, bolt on some tires and hook a big trailer on it. It's a legitimate means of transportation there.

I was waiting for your dad's comment about it being a good utility machine. These machines do seem to have some advantages over a snowmobile. The first is that you can ride two people. OH&S will not allow double riding unless the machine is built for that (many are not). One pickup truck could carry two of these, without a trailer and provide transport for 4 people. That is a big logistical benefit. You could ride it up narrow cut lines for geophysical work or cut yourself your own trails with less effort. Recreational users would find it slow, but as a machine to drag stuff deep into the forest, it looks pretty good. Fun to ride too. I haven't seen any videos of these machines tackling hills. With their towing ability, they should be good at climbing, but I would like to see that.

I'm assuming it doesn't have reverse with such a basic drivetrain, what if you get in a spot where you need to back up and you have a "seat trailer" and another trailer full of wood or gear. Pushing the unit and 2 more trailers could be a issue same with grabbing the front and trying to lift it up and turn it around with 2 trailers.
@rcryderman11

The last one manufactured were in the 1950:s... I really taught that the 50:s vibe were limited to the forrester industry, but I am now starting to believe that America is stuck in the 50:s in more areas.

Can't help but notice the chain / sprocket wheel to drive the tracks is outside the body and exposed. How is that not a problem? Would you feel safe taking this 10km into the bush? Don't want to have a long walk back. So I guess this comes down to reliability. Honda makes amazing motors, so that's a good thing.
