I honestly think the story about Chanel commissioning an Alma is a myth perpetuated by LVMH because they failed to buy Chanel brand and add it to their roster.

The malletage Alma’s are beautiful irl, the quality is insane. And yes I purchased the black ombré 😂 They gave us full leather lining and finally an adjustable leather strap on an Alma bb! Only had to spend a small fortune for it 😂

So fun, especially on a Chicago evening where the actual air temp is minus 12 degrees F 🥶 I bought an Alma about a year ago here in the USA (the BB in black epi) and there were so few options when I was browsing. Maybe Pharrell is trying to revamp the Alma. I love the BB, but it is limited in what it can hold, of course. Agree with you that the bubblegram in bright colors is the cutest! Honestly the epi Alma BB is so cheap compared to the leather speedys it makes it worth it. It’s also half the price of a Prada small galleria.

I do like the Blason calf skin leather Alma for $5,000 USD! I am not a fan of the Damier leather. I really like the guitar strap! I would get the yellow Epi leather with the guitar strap. My fave is the lamb quilted Almas! They are so pretty 😮‍💨 You looked so lovely ❤

Epi Alma is full leather vs the monogram Alma that’s mostly canvas .. the only reason i picked it last year 2023 June in light pink before price hike 😊

I think your Bolide bag (the pink) is way prettier. I would rather spend the same money range on the Bolide. Again, I love my Dooney & Bourke Zip-Zip. It's the same shape as the Alma in pebbled leather for a fraction of the $. Confession: I am planning to buy a red Bolide. ❤

I have just two alma's. The most classic. I got the alma pm in the monogram and also in the damier ebene. Both were very affordable and I love that they are classic and not trendy. They will never ever go out of style. Beautiful, roomy. It's just the perfect size. Very classy bag that I will pass down when the time is right. Not into the new interactions. They will come and go and I'm too much of a grown woman to be cooking with a bag in the bb size . Those little bags will go out of style and the PM's will always be in style. But too each it's own. For me the epi leathers or just too plain for me.

Hey Jesse, I would love to see you talk about the LV Capucine! I think there’s also a lot of variations of it and LV tried to make it the “it” bag (not sure how that’s working out). Anyways, I love the look of the Capucine, but I feel like it’s way too expensive for what it is.

They might as well re release the Multicolour collection. The pink vernis is trying too hard.

Nano is popular now but BB size is more practical. Plastic bottle of water, long wallet, big iphone all fit in the BB. I do not like the malletage ones personally. I like the old vernis in resale, monograms, and epi leather ones.

Mildly related, but my blood boils whenever someone says the Alma BB is STILL a good starter piece. Are these people insane? It's tiny and stiff and doesn't fit anything and LV wants HOW MUCH for it? 🤯😵😂

the guitar strap would look good in the pastels with the preppy polo shirt look. Not my thing but would look good on a young person rocking the prep thing. The light blue is very cute. HATE the diamond quilting it's bloody awful!! Veery impractical, and it is just trying too hard for little result. It's got more volume on the outside with no greater inside capacity. What the? The same colour is better than the hideous versions that looked like a Chesterfield lounge with no seating capacity....but it's marginal as an improvement, that. Epi leather is durable and you must have at least some bags you can bash around and use as workhorses. We aren't all Princess Mary about to be crowned Queen!
