I have that machine and I hate the color. It’s so extremely dark I can’t even see the damn thing when it lays on a black table with the light low. Next one is gonna be silver again.

Had the M2 in midnight and hated the constant smudges. Bought the M3 after hearibng about the new anti-fingerprint coating. USELESS! A complete scam. Looks just as bad as the M2. Just sold it (less than two months old) and bought a grey one.

Yeah it’s just a marketing tactic. I bet Apple doesn’t actually apply a coating, just a different finish which they thought was less fingerprinty but actually isn’t 💀. I was at a store today and used the M3 Air Midnight and yep it’s a magnet for fingerprints alright!

Who.. actually cares? I’m using my computer for work, not for beauty pleasure. I do hate fingerprints but it’s not to the point I won’t be using the device just because of the fingerprints.

I have the midnight color on my MacBook and the finger prints aren't even that bad. Honestly, suck it up butter cup. Are people detail-oriented that much. You guys will live with a couple of fingerprints.

To be honest, just don't get Midnight. Starlight too is also just a mid color. Silver is still the best MacBook color you can get

You can buy a transparent one if you don’t want to cover the colour. Plus if you might sell it one day it keeps the laptop more pristine than not putting on a cover🤷🏻‍♀️😌 but whatever you do you😚

You can, but not on the max settings, that thing overheats pretty fast and you only can have like 25 minutes of gameplay (with max settings). Also depending on the game, but medium settings works fine and you can have a hours of gameplay with 60fps without lag. So basically it’s starts lagging when you play on max settings after like 25 minutes into the game because of overheating and air doesn’t even have a fan. M3 is very powerful chip, but lacks of fan means overheating on heavy load.
