Is the NEW 2020 BMW X4 M the MOST USEABLE performance SUV?

The M Performance badge has bee added to another BMW in their lineup with the ALL NEW X4M. Under the hood of the X4 M is a 3.0L twin-turbo inline-6 that produces 473 HP and is mated to a 8-speed automatic transmission. It's exterior gets all the fabulous high performance touches from the M Division. On the inside it is a very sports car focused interior even though this is an SUV. Has BMW created the most useable performance SUV ever with the 2020 BMW X4 M?

I have the 2019 and really love it. So fun to drive and more spacious than a typical sedan. As always you crushed it. Keep up the humor. Love to see what foods you can fit in door bins and back seat hiding spots. 😂

Not bad video. 👍 You seem to be the first one, I came across, on KZfaq, to recognize the M versions ...as a true M car. So, many others fail to recognized that BMW didn't go through all those upgrades in vain. There are multiple levels of M cars. You even related them to BMW motorsports division. It is refreshing to know that, finally, there is someone who knows their BMWs. ...unlike those typical folks who claims an M-Sport package isn't a real M car.

Thanks. Great Review. I love my X5 4.8i in Imola Red!!! I'm gonna drive it until it stops. I have over 203k miles and it is still going strong (has a little piston issue/drinks oil) but I love her. When it's time I have to get another one. Not quite sure what all these new X 1's, 3's, 4's, 6's an 7's are all about. So watching you helps. I also love the Jaguar X Pace in red so I'm torn. Which do you think is better BMW SUV/ Crossovers or the Jag trucks?

I have a new Stinger and mat get one of these in a few years--def on my list.BTW the new AWD systems are fantastic.My Stinger has it and I do not think i will buy a car without it.BTW it works great at the drag--I have vids and went 3-0 vs cars with 500HP plus.

The thing about BMW to me is their design language. I know the kidney grills and angel / halo headlights are very iconic, but as someone that does not follow BMW very closely, it's always difficult for me to tell whether any BMW model is like a newer one, older one, etc. Like you can take pictures of say an old accord, not too old accord and modern accord and show me; I'll be able to put them from oldest to newest order. I probably can't do that with any BMW model lol. That's just me tho! Great vid Joe

I have the 2019 x4m and my lease ends this summer 😭 I’m gonna miss it. It’s so fast in sport + So quiet in comfort/eco mode I’m debating on Tesla model 3 Another x4 An x6 Or a Mercedes Idk tho. I just don’t know if I can go back to a car now. This thing feels like a mini tank when u drive it ur way up.

One thing about the turbos on BMW when you push it down from a dead stop there is a significant turbo lag. I can see that in this video it's kind of scary sometimes cuz in my x3 if I want to shoot out in front of someone coming down the road i'll usually wait for a bigger break in traffic. Even my Frontier truck is quicker off the line initially. It only exhibits this behavior when you push it down hard from a dead stop. It's actually scared me enough to basically learn me ,😢

I was honestly just thinking the exact opposite. To me it looks like they did a great job executing the design language. Of course it's going to look different considering the vehicle type, but I'm honestly not sure what more they could've done. All the brand specific design elements are there.

The problem is they make so many models in the same line up of crossovers that you cannot have USB ports on the x4 but you do on the X5 and that's an inside joke...USB for all I say vote for JP president of BMW 👊👊

Some of their higher end models like the seven series will have higher costs of ownership. But their most popular model, the X3 is actually very reliable now. If you want a reliable BMW I would not get a highly boosted/race inspired design. The regular 260 HP twin turbo 2.0 liter with 8 speed ZF on the X3 is more then enough for most and will provide excellent reliability and MPG's.

White Knight What are you comparing it to? A Honda or Toyota? If so then it’s not a reasonable comparison. Or an Audi, Mercedes, Porsche, Jaguar, etc? These are all higher end car manufacturers that produce cars with similar features and reliability.

I have one of these and frankly, it doesn't meet the hype. The brakes are nowhere as good as they are made out to be. The seat is very difficult to adjust to find your comfort spot. I vastly prefer the 5 series sedan.

@@gipsyavenger9829 That's your opinion. I think the X4 M is a VERY handsome, muscular vehicle. IMO, it strikes me as a perfect vehicle: outstanding performance, excellent driver, tremendous brakes, not too big/not too small. Perfection personified...minus the $80,000 price tag!
