I was 7 years old when the show first dropped on Nickelodeon.. I’m now 21.. the show has aged with me and the rest of the OG fans. It’s not necessarily meant for kids. Yes, the nostalgia is incredible, but it’s to show that the people the characters were back then are still the same people.. they’re just older, with a greater understanding of the world, more mature experiences.. they aged with us and I’m so thankful for that

I kinda like that it's not a kids show. Since everyone who watched the original show as a kid are grown up now and the cast are adults now too. And it's not just another reboot, it's altered for the grown-ups to enjoy. I especially love the episode "iTake a Girl's Trip" because it's so chaotic.

This isn’t a kid’s show. I’m the same age as the characters, 27. We are not kids anymore haha. Some of us have graduated college twice, gotten married, bought houses, had kids, traveled the world, etc we aren’t babies anymore. I love that they didn’t keep this a kid’s show and they grew it with the audience. I watched this show when I was a tween.

I really like the reboot, I think it's nostalgic and perfect for anyone who grew up watching icarly since it's clearly for adults now. I think it's actually better than the original.

I love the revival so much. I'm the same age as the characters and I'm enjoying a light hearted, sitcom approach to a show playing with this stage of life. Shows normally take a bit more of a dramatic approach. This is so fun!

I saw an interview in where Miranda said that the show was made for the original fans of iCarly. The fans are old enough now to see those things and other issues mentioned in the show, along with the cast.

this show is honestly the PINNICALE for how to do a revival right when tapping into the show's core audience. For once its Disney whose sitting on the sidelines looking like an idiot with the way they blew it bringing back Lizzie McGuire while I know Raven specifically requested Raven's Home appeal more towards children so i guess that gets a pass.

Not all sitcoms are for kids, so this version is now being watched by older teens to adults, like Friends only it didn’t had a reboot.

The thing is, the OG ICarly was geared towards teens. It technically wasnt a "kids" show to start with. Its only fitting the reboot would grow with the original target audience.

Welp it would be weird to see grown adults speaking the same way they did as teens- Spencer being the exception, I just like to think in the original show he never cussed or anything because of Carly.

I was literally 4 years old when it came out, although I didn’t start watching till I was around 7. Went off the air when I was 10. I’m 20 now, the audience that watched iCarly has grown up since it went off the air. They understood that and tailored the content toward it.

When you think about, most iCarly fans are much older and mature, so it would (sort-of) make sense that a reboot is just as mature.

It won't happen, Jeanette hated playing her character and is part of the reason she has mental issues now so the likeliness of her being back is super super slim

I see nothing wrong with the show maturing with the audience that grew up with them. I mean, I think Nickelodeon should have a more legit "Nick At Night" for more than just old shows.

It's for people that never seen the original. Watch the first show, and then immediately hear about threesomes and drinking on a nick show from the same characters. Not mature or developed at all. If you want a reason to "grasp" your wiener, go to the hub. Leave these characters alone

I’m glad they didn’t go too far, it is a bit edgier but if it were to be given an mpaa rating it would be a mild pg-13 just for some suggestive bits. The language is mild, and I’m happy they didn’t push it any further, I watch it with my daughter who loves the original. Cobra Kai is an example of a show that came from family friendly beginnings and while great, is a rough watch for family viewing with tons of language that verges on R rated territory
