It is very likely that to balance the ZED it has a dynamic tower limit, meaning more players = less ZED per player and the normal spawn tower weaknesses like it doesn't receive (on the unit) buffs other than discount and is bad on maps with a short path

Honestly if you dedicate enough time, you could get it in two weeks, but if you can’t, just buy it. I recommend buying the Zed tier instead of the shop one since that’s cheaper

It’s easy to duo on the military map you just need good dps so I would bring turret since some enemy’s have a bunch of laser resistance and good early game so I would bring granger (you also need the drone power up for the hidden bosses)

thats not much of an achievment ive beat intermediate mode with barracks and farm on several maps(including winter fort)(my own strategy too) i never use powerups and it gets the job done,imagine grinding so long for an expensive show piece that cant even beat intemediate mode without powerups and a full loadout

the tower isn't meant to be the main damage dealer I've realized, it needs other damage towers too. Plus it's 3000 to place, it's a bit more expensive than barracks.
