Man, I find sunday so interesting, even if I can't agree with him. My main hang up is Why does He, specifically, get to decide whats best for people? Especially when they're basically all strangers. And what happens if one person's idea of happiness contradicts another persons? It's striping people of free will to decide whats best for themselves, and they just....stagnate. You never have the chance to grow. Like a certain character from Persona 5, Sunday has a god complex. To use an example from P5, and replacing names, say Ei had chosen, instead of isolating herself after Makotos death, to fully delude herself into believing she *was* Makoto, with Sunday's help. She might be "happy" but the core problem isn't solved, she's still depressed and running away. And Sunday doesn't believe she is even capable of moving past this trauma and being happy any other way, even if she is. And that's not to mention that, especially in a dream, he could, say, bring Makoto back instead of having Ei live this delusion. He is deciding this is what's best when its not. Basically, Escapism isn't a viable long term solution to lasting mental health, and Sunday would be a shit therapist.
