Thank you for watching and supporting this topic. I felt it was important and that more people had to know about it. This movie crosses all cultures, and I think it's because of the rawness and realness of it all. I think anyone can relate to a story of friends...family..growing up together and then fate sends us on different paths. Who hasn't gone thru that. I've been responding this to alot of ppl about this, but I have more info coming on this topic. And also, I am working on getting in touch with some of the people who made and were in this film. I'm with u on that. Ļ American Me was ok...but it didn't really resonate with me the way Blood In Blood Out did. Something about it is more real to me. The 5 hour version definitely exists...and I'm almost certain that there may even be 6 hours or more. Took a while for this video to start getting the attention it has been getting lately..so I wasn't sure if anyone was even interested. But now that I've seen the response to this topic, I'm inspired to move forward on trying to get in contact with the right ppl to make it happen. U said it. Me too! I 1st saw this movie back in '93..and it hits way harder and resonates with me more than American Me. I still rewatch BIBO to this day. Just saw the full version a few days ago on my road trip. I know that everyone would love to see that extended version..cuz its not some cheap remake or anything like that...it's all from the original shoot, cuz remember Popeye says Taylor Hackford shot the entire Biblia...all 300+ pages. @@TheMexiConspiracyTheorist 100% great response! i honestly dont even know how to follow up to that. i can tell you a bonus story though. when i did graffiti in my early days i met a hispanic kid im still friends with to this day, he had the dopest custom built lowrider bike and regal on switches. i loved his car and bike! he goes back and forth from cali to cleveland and to this day he reps the pride and culture to the fullest and does a small fb group where he helps others with hydrolics with tips and people looking to buy and trade. through that group i see many different races trading rides that were a half built dream that someone else buys and finishes, or known lowriders that have been around years that have changed many owners, its truly amazing. alot of shops have expanded these days to be able to do this work, and we unfortunately lost good shops all over america do to things as basic as inflation prices. but it seems you can now even go in t he middle of no where and find a shop that can still hook your ride up. i had also been so influenced by the culture with the way i dress that on alot of days most people think im puerto rican, my family is polish though lol

Oh My God,!! Yo...Thank You SO Much!! I worked hard on this one. And at 1st I thought that ppl wouldn't like it or watch it, cuz it seems at 1st that there's alot of useless talk. Bit, it all leads into the story that I wanted everyone to hear. It is really interesting, and to he honest it took over a month for this to even take off. When I originally posted it, no one but me watched it...so I was thinking that maybe no one really cares about this. But in reality, YT just wasn't showing it or putting it on ppl's feed. But then one day..it just started taking off. And then I started getting comments of everyone asking for it..."where is it?" "I wanna see it!!" "More ChonChon!!"🤣🤣 And I saw that yes...the public wants this extended version. There was so much left on the cutting room floor...and that sucks. But...now it's like they say..The Holy Grail. 😅 I'm actually convinced that if we could get the right ppl involved....the director, the writer, the editor, the cast (for voice overs, only), I'm convinced that we could be looking at possibly 6-8 hours of a great Epic. Like, maybe release it as a 3 part mini series...or do a weekend type of release on some streaming service. I don't know...something like this. Not a part 2..nothing like that. Just all the original footage..put together right, and do the voice overs like the did originally.. if done correctly, I know this would be legendary!! Soo.....because of all the attention, I've decided to devote alot of my time to working on trying to get in contact with all the right people to get this thing released to the public. I'm working on starting a petition, a "Go-Fund-Me" type of thing (cuz its for sure going to need some money thrown at it), contacting Taylor Hackford(Director), Jimmy Baca(writer), the guys in this interview, Disney (since they have the footage and movie rights), and others. It's an Uphill Battle, to say the least. But it's a battle worth fighting....for the culture! The fans! The public! I don't think it'll ruin the legacy this movie has left. Not at all. Miklo is usually with Cruzito on these things ..but he couldn't make this one. And it's hard to get Paco to come to too many of these. He isn't as much into it as Cruz, Miklo and Popeye. Hell..Miklo made a whole spinoff series of movies from the Vatos Locos epic They are nowhere near as good as BIBO, at all. But...for the true fans..might be worth a view. I know Paco and Cruz (Benjamin Bratt and Jesse Borrego) made another movie together called "La Misíon"...where they kind of continue the stories of Paco and Cruz..but it wasn't a sanctioned movie...meaning it's not Canon. Not part of the original and not made by any of the people except for Paco and Cruz. But..that is a good movie though. They did a good job. I completely agree. But, this is about footage that was cut from the original movie. It was all part of the movie, originally, but had to be cut out due to time constraints. Now, there is a vault somewhere with at least 2 hours of deleted footage, plots, twists, etc. that the director had to cut out...and if he could reconstruct all of that and re release it..that would be epic. Not a part 2. Just an extended part 1. With all the original actors, from back then. I think it's worth investigating. Thnx 4 watching 👍

I know I've heard Cruz now.on 3 interviews confirm that Taylor did show that cut...but only 2 the Disney Execs. So...the footage is there. But..because of the hype that the book release got...it kinda forced Disney to release the movie, finally, on streaming, Hulu. So..if enough support is there...and yes...money.... Cuz Popeye says the phone call is the last time we see him,but it's when he hands Smokey the "300 wak wak" to make some plata Then, Smoke makes the call to Paco and he's dead. So, it's when Popeye tried to stab him that we last see Popeye. But, I never understood why he says "I owe you....por Miklo" and then tries to.stab Smokey. I thought him and Miklo left on bad terms. On the original cut, that was the last time we see Popeye. The directors cut with added scenes added that “was wak” scene.

From what I understood inside prison miklo had power and could put hits out on people (including popeye) so that was popeye's way of staying in La Onda's hood graces and following orders. At that time Miklo didn't know it was Popeye who sold them out and would've probably suspect someone in Clavo's crew being an informant before Popeye being a snake.

Because, if we look at the film..During that scene where Miklo is speaking to the council, telling them they all have to be separated, but that the change will allow Onda to grow. He tells them, " El Mero Mero had a dream...we are that dream." But..one of Montana's main goals was to unite Black and Brown. And if you look at history, the reason some of us are brown, or darker skinned, like me, is because the Spaniards had brought slaves with them too, and they raped the women..black, light skinned, whatever.. and created a darker skinned race. This even goes back before Columbus and all of that. Also dealing with the Taino Indians. Wow...such a great conversation this would be to have. The US intentionally divided it to North and South and treated them as 2 continents to imply "we're different than Latin America". Some countries promoted the European migration, while of course, still getting migrants from other parts. Paraguay didn't plan it, but they had to do it, because Argentina-Brasil-Uruguay, almost made them disappear in the conflict they had, there was only 300K left, mainly women and children, in few decades they went up to 1 million, because of new generation and immigrants that also came from neighbor countries. These things aren't simple, the imaginary borders set by countries, they don't tell the full story. In Mexico, Mexicans of African ancestry can get discriminated, once there was an incident when they deported a Mexican woman, accusing her she was from some non Latino Caribbean country, it all had to do with her skin. In the real gangs that inspired this story, La Eme had alliances with other gangs. The man that inspired Miklo's character, he was Latino, but he didn't have Latin American parents. So many things to say about Latin America, culture and history, positive and negative.

Meanwhile, in real life, the gangs that inspired the story, they all 3 had alliances. In real life, the US authorities did what you see during that speech, they sent ethnic Latino gang members from US prisons to different prisons, even to Central American countries, that only helped to create chapters and international organized crime in the region. While yes, people was brought in by force from certain African regions, not all of them, indigenous people had brown or dark brown skin, too, they also formed couples since colonial times as you said, others migrated and they still migrate till this day. And since that company has tanked, Disney stills owns all of the intellectual property to any of the movies that were produced and released by that company. He just needed the Green light to put it out as 2 parts. So..the cut is about ready May need some tweeking, a few voice overs here and there....but a handful of ppl have already seen that cut. Howevwr... from what I've been able to find...seems like there is alot left on the cutting room floor. Meaning...yes...this is about the "5 hour" version. But...I'm convinced that we could possibly be looking at 6-8 hours of a great movie...with ALL the original cast. I was one of those kids who grew up with D.A.R.E., you're a year younger than me now so you did too. I remember the days when I was coloring those pictures of what drugs were and putting that big 🚫 on them. Same with cigarettes and all. Man oh man...wish I knew then what i know now. That knowledge would've been more of a deterrent than the DARE stuff. Tried weed n pills in my teens..and drinking. In my 20s, tried heroin for the 1st time. By28, I was already an ex convict. I would see prison a couple more times before hitting bottom. It's funny..u think prison would be bottom...but I still has some rascal in me. I'm 44 now..and I am a good husband,father, business owner, and now a "growing KZfaqr"😂 I've wrestled with the idea of doing some sort of "prison ministry" type deal..or maybe a program for after. I dunno. There's a lot of.good men that get caught up in the system and if it wasn't for the drugs... well..I don't know. Maybe. . I just want to use my experiences to help others. It all happened 4 a reason. For some reason..all those things had to.happen in my story. My wife thinks it was me coping from childhood trauma. I almost died after I found my dad dead at age 11. I was abused alot (sensually, mentally) but not ever by my dad. He was a great man The ppl who raised me abandoned me. These r just a few things..so she thinks it's cuz that. But I don't know. Didn't really think of those things...i was jus gettin high back then.🤷‍♂️ All I known is I've got a story to tell..and I'm tryna find a way to tell it and hopefully help others. @@TheMexiConspiracyTheorist thanks for sharing all that, im going to sub and good luck on the channel. from 2002-2012 i took oxycodones, about 6 a day. i tried to average out how many i took because i started on darvocet for a slipped disc and i estimate anywhere from 13k to 17k. i legit took them for pain but i was super high everyday LOL. when our state governor cut pain meds off to everyone i stopped cold turkey. its been rough because of the pain. but the high was a fun bonus. we had dare but they didnt press it much in our area, i remember going to my upper class cousins house and he had dare and his was way different, they were in police bumper cars at the police station and everything. all we had was like a 1 day 30 minute speech LOL. the majority of my child hood friends died, and they turned on me for no reason so i was the first to leave. but little by little they all died before 20 or early 20s. in a way getting bad anxiety from that kept me from drugs besides pain meds and beer. ive got lucky that ive never been to prison, just overnight jail stays that got thrown out with fines. i did alot of bad stuff but not over the top bad. i performed at concerts for 7 years, i opened for vanilla ice, paul wall, tech n9ne, all sorts of people. so i was lucky enough to express myself on stage in my mid 20s. its kind of hard for me to get use to the conversion of youtube as social media influencers and stuff because i had spent os many years grinding flyers and staying in clubs for 9 hours a day most days. i know its the new era though so im not knocking it. i enjoy watching videos like this when i make food and need a good 5-15 min video clip. ill give you some advice, if you can remember how you got off drugs make a episode about that. i have a notebook of my experience and ive used it to help friends.

I know, man....I know 🤦‍♂️ Everytime I watch it, I'm left wishing I had this epic opportunity to sit down with these 4 gentlemen at once and have this interview. I feel like this would've had so much more quality if the actual interviewer was on point and at least have something prepared, not just for the fans but for himself and for the people he is interviewing. These guys ALL played iconic characters in arguably the best Chicano movie ever produced. I need to get in a room with these 3 men, with a camera and a mic.... Wait...I know that sounds gay but, hear me out. I'm currently working on making moves to see how/if/when this "Holy Grail, 5 Hour Version" of BIBO can be released to the public. The footage was not destroyed...the way NASA claims their original moon mission footage and plans were. It's still locked away somewhere. Getting Disney to release it is going to be a MONUMENTAL effort, to say the least. But having connections like this would be invaluable to the cause. They say it's impossible. I say Nothing is Impossible. The 30 yr anniversary book that came out and the success it had prompted...almost forced...Disney to finally stream the film on Hulu. They saw the public support and the potential it has...and it's still making money. Releasing the 5 hour version would break the Box Office...I GUARANTEE it! But alot of people..along with these guys...will have to be involved. And the public..through petitions, of course money..donations, pleas...will also help the cause. Anyway... Sorry for rambling...this has become a passion project for me since I saw the attention it has gotten off of this upload. Thx 4 watching and please consider Subscribing. I mean, I agree, he didn't really give a good interview...like I think he was more weirded out and tryna act like he was a big fan...but honestly he gave the vibes of "I've seen the film, and this might get me some good publicity'...but not a super fan like he claimed. I dunno...yur right. I wish he didn't do the interview. Shit...I wish I got that chance to sit with these 3 guys!!!!!!!!!!!!🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 And then them letting THIS information out.....this interview would've gone a whole lot different if I had conducted it. Think Berner really dropped the ball on this interview. Overall, though, we got to hear from these 3 great actors...legends for the roles they played in this movie, for sure!....and we got some solid information about the entire process of making this film...and about these 3 guys individually,as people and established actors.
