One thing people need to know about knife attacks is that they are unpredictable, and once the attacker pulls out a knife, you are basically screwed. They are not gonna flip around like crazy and drop the knife, they will try to resist and stab you all around you. I actually know this. We had a Karate practise goin on, and our teacher wanted to demonstrate how to defend against a knife attack, so he gives students fake knife and he would give them instruction on how to swing the knife so he can perfectly disarm it. It was basically those wristlock and disarm you seen in a lot of defense videos. Now I was the class clown and was little rebellious since i was 12 years old that time, and i decided to go with the flow and messed with him with the fake knife, he failed to catch my hand and disarmed me, after he told me to stop swingin like crazy and do normally, he failed to take the knife off my hand since i was resistin too much and wouldn't let go of the knife, the whole class laughed and i got in trouble, he can't even disarmed a 12 year old girl. But to put it simple, the knife attackers is not gonna go your way and they will attack you wherever and however they like, they are not gonna drop the knife and are more likely to resist. I'm not tryin to put down any martial artist or knife defense video, just informin that you should be aware of what knife defense video you're lookin for, and whenever someone pulls out a knife at you, listen to their demands or run. It's better to run away and lookin like a "coward" for your safety rather than pleasin your ego and get injured or worst

Good vídeo!! It depends very much from the oponents ability to stab, slice, etc. A young oponent will be faster to stab, many times but not so deep. An older attacker will be more slow but will try to stab harder, etc. It also depends of the sharpening of the knife, kind of knife(size, military, etc). Knife attacks happen very fast, and we must concentrate ourselves in protecting the neck and torso(vital organs). Get an oportunity to run away, and manage to stop the bleeding(garrote), arterial bleeding are the worse and you will feel the blood pressure reducing very fast, you will be thirsty very soon. Call for emergency and do not panic, keep pressing the wounds. Good video! Vielen danke!

This is good practical in application technique for knife threatening situation but what about attacking with fast multiple sequence of stabs low to stomach as in a sewing machine motion?

You do the 'old' technics completely wrongly... That's why it's not working 😉 But I really like your proposals, nothing against you... Criticising the others for promoting your system is easy, just do your stuff 😉 Don't be like Idan and his Kalah system, I'm sure he will laugh of all your technics, saying it's bullshit... Your deserve better.

The context is not bad talking about things, Unfortunately, when it comes to guns Ann knife, some old Krav Maga techniques just don't work in real life. Everything is evolving, and that's why you have to keep developing yourself.

@@KravMagaStreetDefence I agree that KM must evolve but 'laughing' of these 'old' technics is not very respectful about Imi and others Krav Maga schools.

We never use in Israel the ''old'' technique as you show them in this video ! You do wrong KM techniques in purpose ! This is not honest. Your technique is too complicated for real street threat situation.

I been studying Krav Maga for 23 years now, I come from the street and have seen and experienced a lot of violence. Sorry but you don't have to tell me about violence in real life. @@KravMagaStreetDefence I have been studying Krav Maga for 30 years. I knew Imi Lichtenfeld the founder of Krav Maga. In israel we are also developing new techniques and find improvements . You are not the only one to do that. Everything is perfectible and our Krav Maga too. KM is not a perfect science for sure but if you do the wrong techniques to ''prove'' that your own method is better that is not all right ! Not everything is working in KM that's true but some of your techniques too. About the street you cannot lecture me because I know what a street fight is and I was in a police unit for 11 years patrolling the streets and arresting bad guys. Best regards.

@@fredsroussifrederic3174 Fredsroussi Frederic, if that's your real name. You say that you trained with Imi. But I can't find any information about it. Can you prove it 😉. Unfortunately I didn't have the privilege to train with him. If you really have it hold on tight he was a great man.

@@KravMagaStreetDefence Imi was not just a great man , he was a legendary fighter. I knew him in 1989 in France where he came to Paris with Eyal Yanilov to meet the firsts KM students in Europe (I was one of them) who were trained by the pioneer of KM in Europe Mr. Richard Douieb (his direct student and Full contact champion). By the way, I try to use the right words. I wrote ''I knew him'', not ''I trained with him'' as you said. But it is true that I am very proud to have made a demonstration with an other KM practitioner front of Imi.
