@@ncksmth my point is that God was not surprised by the fall and that God’s plan to restore humanity unto Himself was not God’s plan B. No, God did not cause the fall. The fall was the result of sin and God is Holy- He can not sin.

@@davidschmidt270 I do think so. When I was a new Christian the Bible just didn’t make sense. The New Testament kind of did, but I never could piece together the “why”. But now, in large part because of Bible project, I can understand the major themes of scripture, when the psalmists write about God’s dwelling place on his holy mountain and how the rivers of life from the temple will water the wastelands and turn them into gardens…it all makes sense what the author of the poem is trying to say. Idk man it really will change how you read and understand the Bible if you listen to their podcasts and watch their videos.

@@Darkpill-2 1) I assume you believe Jesus isn't God because He never said so. But, if He is not God, why would He act like it? He didn't proclaim he was God because his purpose before dying was to introduce the message of salvation to everyone, but if He told them He was God, people would congregate around him and make harder for him to enter the cities and spread the news. 2) I don't get when you said you showed where Jesus said He wasn't God, but still this doesn't mean He wasn't. 3) Let me give some context: in the verse 25 of the same chapter, they say "We have seen the Lord! (Jesus)”, then Thomas says he would never believe it "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side". Then Jesus appears to him, he sees his nail marks and touches his side and then affirms "My Lord and GOD!" So, the "Lord" Thomas was talking about is the same "Lord" the disciples told him (JESUS), and then he even calls Him God, and Jesus doesn't even contradict Thomas.

Yes!! A children's daily Bible is great to help learn the main points of the story! I learned this from reading with my child every night. It's a really great idea for anyone who feels like they are struggling.

@jamoretz9149 honestly I can't remember how or why I made a comment, but most exalted people think they will run the bible study and ignore the people in it as well as the true teacher, God. 1stJohn chapter2:25-27

@@steventaylor7716 Agreed, I have been to those bible studies myself. But I ask you to try out one of their classes. Tim never teaches down to anyone in the room and takes their questions and statements with honest care. I am on my second one and learn a lot. They are interesting and broken up into 15-20 min. units so you can take your time going though a class. They have handouts to download like the one given to the students. And the best part is that it is Free, hope you try one out and thanks for the responds.

All stories in the holy Bible is for our learning, inspirations, and encouragements about having a personal relationship with our creator. Not only that but I love how it's shows his character. I hate these new age bible programs which cut apart what truth really is and what it all means to God the father. One thing I have learned and still learning from the Holy Bible is how not to piss him off, his cursing and blessings and to stay on his side because of his son paying for my sins thank you Jesusssssss! I tell people when I'm witnessing you don't want to die and face God the father with out the covering of the blood of the lamb. The Israelites are a perfect example for my learning.

@@FrJohnBrownSJ Knowing Christ brings us closer to him because our works can’t. Obeying Christ shows our closeness as a result of what he did for us. We love because he first loved us. Too many people reverse this and shipwreck their faith; that’s partly why we should avoid calling the Bible a rulebook.
