The Graceland KZfaq channel has uploaded videos of curator Angie Marchese showing items in this vault, which they call the archives. She showed quite a few items during the pandemic. One title for this tour is "'Inside the Archives' (A Star Is Born)." She shows the script and the contract given to Elvis for the 1970s remake of "Star is Born." Graceland built the vault to house all the items they didn't have room to put on display. The estate acquired the Colonel's archive. (Elvis and the Colonel were packrats.) They found shirts in the attic of Graceland, still in boxes wrapped in tissue paper, that Elvis bought but never wore. She shows Elvis' 20th-century Fox itinerary that was approved by the Colonel for Elvis once he was discharged from the Army. I believe most of the stuff in the archive is mostly business correspondence from the Colonel to Elvis.

I know Elvis didn't like the movies he did back in the day, but I'll tell you what. In this day and age, when I see his movies on TV, I enjoy them, maybe even more than years ago. They are more entertaining than some of the crap that has been put out in the past three decades in my opinion. Plus you get to hear Elvis singing (in most of them). When Lisa did a show from Graceland with Oprah and Gmail King she took them somewhere on the property and wouldn't let the camera crew follow them until they got inside, Lisa said it was fireproof, tornado proof and no one knew where it was and she could go anytime and pick something she liked and it made her feel close to her dad. I thought that was the archives but obviously Angie would know unless it was somewhere else and I think Priscilla have a key to it too, maybe your parents know about that. Lahey you are a cutie.

Ive watched the curator of Graceland and she did a tour of a vault type place that stores some of Elvis’s belongings.Lisa Marie was in it and found things she didn’t even know about .It’s bomb proof, fireproof etc.Maybe that’s what the person was asking about

The "vault" they are referring to is the Archives building which is located by the trailers that are still on property. If you got to the left of the house and straight back instead of circling the drive to the front of the house it's all the way back passed where the cars were parked back in the day and on the left side of the property right next to thr trailers. It isn't buried or anything. It's where Angie Marchese works with the archives team to preserve artifacts. The building can take a direct hit from a tornado. It's not from elvis' time but later on. On VIP tours you used to get to go to the building for a private show and tell.

And George Klein and Alan Fortis were praising Jerry lee Lewis for his excellent piano play. Elvis got fed up with it and said all of a sudden that they going to the Memphion Theater. Is it true that Elvis got so agitated about George Klein and Alan Fortis praising Jerry lee Lewis, that he told them if you like him so much, why don;t you go work for him. And that the tension was high during the drive to the Memphion Theater, that no one dared to talk. Until they arrived at the theater when Elvis's mood was a little better. Did Elvis had such a bad temper and could be snappy, that no one dared to go against him?
