Priceless because nobody can buy those great memories. Wouldn't be great to be able to reproduce those memories to sell to others as a part of their lives,---so they can see what they missed out in the lives of a more free people, (and never vote for a baby sitter again.)?

Mine was silver and I saved up to pay $451 brand new including a silver glitter helmet. It was Freedom for me on the farm. When I left home my Mom still used it. She sold it but I never found out to who. Wish I had it again! She used to bring us lemonade on it whenever we were harvesting rice. She died from Alzheimer’s and I’m so grateful she and Dad made me save my $$ to buy it myself!

Had one of those in '75, a '74 model in dark gray. I spent $1200 in 1975 dollars on a full-on race engine, bored/sleeved and stroked with Powroll crank to 119cc, 8mm top end studs, external oil line to feed top end, ported head, needle bearing camshaft, lightened rockers, stainless valves, heavy springs, 26mm Mikuni carb, PK Racing pipe with larger head pipe, internal rotor ignition, HD clutch, oil cooler and many other mods. Did 68 mph with my big 6'5" ass on it and it would keep up with a CR125 in a drag race with a light rider on it. This bike was rough on cylinder walls due to mediocre piston metallurgy, high silicon cast pistons available from aftermarket back then were death on cylinder longevity. Great nostalgia trip and video, thanks!

When I was 11 my dads best friend took a 78 XR75. Modified the back bone, down tubes and engine cradle to accept a 1989 XR250R engine. At least I think it was. I think it was the last year XR250Rs were kick start only. And he built it halfway between a hare scramble bike and a flat tracker. It wasn't a back yard build either. He built the bike at his engine machine/Drag car shop. So it was all machined billet aluminum parts, renthal bars. Reservoir shocks and tig welded chromoly. It was so rad. Rode it for a little over a year but I couldn't kick the damn thing over. I was to tiny. So he sold that and replaced it with a new 1994 KX80 which was super rad. Little XR75 with a 250r engine. That little bike would tote the mail. It was kinda dangerous with my little skinny arse on there.

Wow this was my xr75 Idk if this is weird or what. I havent thought about this for over 40 years. Then this popped up. This exact bike was mine in the 70’s. I put that dent in it when i got it brand new for Christmas. Engine was pristine as i never shifted out of first gear! Lol just puttered around our back yard. My sister rode it and put all those dents in the muffler. My father later sold it and i never saw It again. I will have to send you some photos you will be like holy crap!

A friend of mine had a 1970 or71 SL70.At the time I had a 4hp mini bike with no rear suspension and only about 2 or 3 inches in the front. That little SL70 was the first motorcycle I rode that had a clutch and 4 gears.I was 10 or 11yrs old at the time and LOVED riding that little Honda. My Parents bought me a 1972 Honda SL 100 for my birthday a year later after much pleading and begging.I passed that Bike down to my little Brother about 6yrs later when I bought a used Yamaha DT 400 that I sometimes would ride to my part time job after school.Never forget the memories of those little SL's.

The most visually unique XR75. The transition from the grey to the Tahitian red, from the Elsinore's, was a stylistic hybrid. I didn't see many of these when I was a kid. The 1976 and the 1977-78 models were more common. I got a new 1978 XR75 for xmas in Dec 1977. I do prefer the pre 1977 engines but like the 77-78 ergonomics better.
