I’ve used mops like this for years, they are good at picking up any hair or fluff. Only thing I don’t like is that if left unused for a longer time they get rock hard and you need to spend some time soaking it in water.

They make rectangular mop buckets, usually they're about 18" long, that would eliminate the struggle using a regular round bucket, dipping one end, and then the other. Seems like a good mop, although we don't know how long it will last.

@ericdunthorne1981
@ericdunthorne1981 2 жыл бұрын
@@dechesino601 You can pick up bucks made for rectangular mop heads at any hardware store. Normally they have two compartments one for water & cleaning solution the other to ring out the mop when dirty. I don't think a taller more narrow bucket would be a good idea. It would be heavier than necessary. As well as prone to spills and tip overs. A wide short buck doesn't require much water to submerge the mop head. Making it much lighter that a tall narrow bucket filled with water. Also the short wide bucket is much more stable because the center of gravity is very close to the ground.

I have something similar and work for me very well but cannot replace totally the common mop we have,conventional mop., Why? well as you can see he never use any kind of floor cleaner or any product that contains soap because it creates a lot of bubbles and trust that is a problem. if you have solar panels this mop is good cleaning them.

There sponge/PVA mops perform okay but you'll find the point of failure is where the sponge attaches to to the mounting bracket (which you then attach to the mop head). My experience with these is the adhesive is not heat tolerant and will break after sometimes even one heavy mopping session with some hot water like you might do when cleaning a bathroom/toilet. You end up throwing out a perfectly good hunk of essentially plastic because the glue has failed and then need to buy another sponge!

I've tried several different types of mops this year, including this type. I didn't like this type because it needs to be ran under water before you can use it and it's a hassle to clean. The best one I've found so far is the deerma spray mop. It doesn't need a bucket because you just fill the included bottle with water and your choice of cleaning solution. And I have 8 replaceable pads, so I just swap it every night and then throw them all in the washing machine at the end of the week. I have to mop our floors every night, so I wanted something with the least amount of hassle. I considered the swiffer but it seemed like it was going to be expensive and wasteful to use disposable pads.

I had one of the older ones. I hated it. I was always the "get the floor pretty wet with the mop, then wing the mop out and soak all th he yuck back up with the mop" kind of person. This wouldn't really put a lot of liquid down, it's more like scrubbing with a damp towel that's seriously resisting being moved across the floor.

We had a PVA mop when I was a teenager, it was fine. Better than a string mop. It had a similar drying mechanism, but the head stayed horizontal and was pulled through two rollers. I have all of10 square feet of hard floor in the house I'm in now so a swiffer is more than enough for me at this time

I had one pretty much like you described in my family home ever since I could remember, so it was probably bought sometime in the early 90's. It was really useful to keep near the entrance or in the kitchen to clean up any mud from shoes and spills or crumbs. We never used a bucket, just cleaned it under running water in a bathtub like he does in the video. For small/medium spaces and quick cleanups it's perfect and it's also pretty durable, as ours lasted for years.

I think I really like this. I have a Libman Swiffer-esque mop and a regular cloth mop right now. I got the Swiffer-esque one because I figured it'd be faster...but it wasn't. The thing just pushed around dirty water on the floor, making me have to rip the pad off (which is difficult as it really sticks on there) and either rise it out or change pads. And even that didn't stop it from just pushing dirty water back and forth. Oh, and that's not counting the need to repeatedly refill the container, either. Because of its failure, I went back to a traditional cloth mop that I can wring out. It takes quite some effort to do so, though it cleans much better. I now live in a smaller space though so the Swiffer-esque mop might do alright here instead of when my kitchen was much larger and walked all over with shoes (now that I live alone, I very rarely go beyond my entrance with shoes). And the two bathrooms in my apartment are also very small. I can clean all three spaces with very little water. But if I should ever move to somewhere bigger again, I'll seriously consider getting this mop!

Regarding the so called Future Mop, l have something very similar. Not recommended. Fairly ok with a light clean over Hard Flooring but as it takes about 20+ minutes to become damp enough to actually use and about 3 days for mop it's self to Dry completely, you end up putting more time/effort and attention to the Mop itself rather than the Floor cleaning. And most definitely for the use of anything other than a light floor Clean and not dirt or Liquids as it simply pushes the dirt around the floor.

For what it's worth: I provide housekeeping service for a living, and of the several flat mops that I have used over the years, my favorite so far is the Libman Freedom Spray Mop. It's reliably endured frequent use for several months now, and is very inexpensive. I also prefer to use fine-textured microfiber mop pads, since microfiber is excellent for detailed cleaning of a variety of surfaces-- and it's fairly easy to find a bunch of pads for cheap on Amazon. Hope that helps!

These kinds of mops are good for pushing away water and wiping light to medium dirt. The frustrating part of these are usually how you need to both rinse and ring it out after most cleaning jobs. Overall, it’s fine for new homes that don’t have the tendency to get heavily muddy or dirty. It’s advisable also to dry it out as much as possible before storing it, as the moisture could lead to mold.

I bought a libman and been using it for 10 years, it helps that I can just buy new heads, especially because I have hardwood in my bedrooms and living room and my kitchen and bathroom are linoleum, so I have one head for my Murphy's wood soap and one for my Mr clean. Some products like mops and brooms are like condoms…you can tinker with the design trying to improve it, but at the end of the day it’s the same product with a different design and name. I can’t think of anything you could do with a mop that would be truly useful…maybe a bottle that feeds cleaner and a wring mechanism that deposits dirty water into a separate bottle. That’s always my problem, keeping the dirty water out of my cleaner.

This seems pretty decent. However I don’t think it will beat my dry cloth Swiffering and then using a steam mop. I have real wood floors, never had problems with steam. The steam mop gets the floor cleaner than anything else. They look good longer. Having said that, just everyday cleaning this would do the trick.

I want that mop. I've used plenty of sponge mops in the past and the lever squeezing mechanism with the rollers is what always breaks first because unlike this design both ends of the rollers aren't fully supported. This one has minimal size roller with both ends fully supported. One thing though, mops really shouldn't be used to remove hair and debris. You should sweep the floor with a broom first for solids, then mop it afterwards.

It’s safer for the dogs (over chemicals used in things like swiffer) less waste etc. and I recently got a new shark one with rotating pads, it’s awesome i frikkin love it lol. I don’t care who you are, the ocedar mop head and then throw it in the wash is the best. I grew up with yellow sponge mops and all the stupid ones with spray you gotta buy that don’t work at all, the ocedar works, is sanitary and has lasted the test of time. Fave.

Bought a similar mop at the local county fair some years ago. Clearly superior to those blue foam mops. it must be kept damp or soaking in water. Do not run dry! It looks like they improved on the ringer part of it and also the method of attaching the sponge part.

I just wish that consumers had access to the same mop bucket that school janitors have. If I could have one of those I wouldn't care to Mop.

Dear Catherine. Adverting hypnosis. The clean tub will be the recipient of all the dutty water, grime, and slim from the mop when you think of taking your next bath.

Setting your self up for a easy plumbing products review putting that hair down your tub drain ;p next level review prep efficiency. great channel this is the only review channel that i come to find products i may not know i want vs the normal use of just looking to see if something is the quality its advertised.

I hate to mop but I love to vacuum with the hard floor setting on and I rarely mop as I live alone with no animals and wear slippers or socks in the house. This mop needs a special designed bucket in my opinion ad it looked too long for the bucket used. I wonder how much replacement Sponges cost ?

Maybe it needs a rectangle bucket to use for the cleaning solution.

I had a purple roller mop made of PVA. I didn't like it. I had to get the mop wet to soften it before I could mop up a spill..

Wow! A mop resurrected from the 1980's. Mine worked fine but after awhile the mop head started losing chunks and the head needed replacing, which was fine until they stopped selling them. Now they're back. Are these heads replaceable or do you have to buy a new mop?

Nice review! Seems like a good mop. Would be great if i could actually get one. Just wanted to warn your viewers not to bother trying to order one of these via their website right now. I ordered one on January 8th, 2022 and now on February 21st, 2022 I'm still waiting on it. I called their customer support. Hit 9 on the first menu to hear other products then 3 on the 2nd menu for the Mighty Thirsty Mop and got right to a person to check status of the order. Don't bother with any online options to check the order status. As near as i can tell, they don't work. Unfortunately, she said my order has not even been processed yet! They hadn't charged my card apparently, but still, she said it would be early March before it's processed. We'll see. I was happy enough to get a person on the line fairly easily and now that i've seen this video, encouraged enough about the product itself, to not just cancel the order. At any rate, figured I'd let your viewers know that they may be waiting a very long time if they try to order one of these on the company's web site.
