I use to work for Load 1 They have a great lounge...big screen tv...shower...laundry. The snaks are not free. They were great to me. I wish I was still with them

I've noticed the best loads come out at night it seems like the people that take cheap freight are the ones to go first if it's in the middle of the afternoon towards the end of the evening that's the s*** they couldn't find anybody cheaper....my experience

I want to be very clear. When I'm on a run, I'm on a run. But when people sit and wait and do nothing? Search the area, call, knock on doors! You are a business owner, right? Nothing is given. Everything is earned! Go get it.

Never really understood piss bottle/shit bucket if you're driving a sprinter van. You're not HOS regulated and can stop at any gas station/rest area. For o/os, I would suggest short runs since they pay more. You're not paid by the mile, but how much you keep.

In today’s work climate, the only way to be successful, as a solo owner-operator-carrier, is getting your own contracts locally. And this takes self-marketing & patience.

Thanks for sharing. I think with a dot number and mc number you have access to more business. You can’t work with brokers and shippers without it. I also think as a company they should set their own prices rather than be at the mercy for the business. I’m just saying the brokers dictate what they pay rather than buying the price a carrier sets. I myself am planning on starting but going local. I worry about price if vans though. I know exactly what I want which is to serve both residential and commercial. Be willing to drive out of state but advertise my prices. Moving junk, deliver packages , maybe LTL if needed. Apps are there but usually don’t pay my price. This is just my thinking, you have been out there doing it. I’m just trying to learn and want to know how to generate business. That’s the scary part about getting a loan is not knowing how much business I will have.

Lots of money injected into the DOT, the audits are going thru the roof. Yes, passing a DOT audit is pretty simple, however, the frieght industry has a lot of morons who wont pass. This should knock a few carriers away in the next 12 months

You know I've been a subscriber four a few years and since, I've retired along with my wife and I've noticed your a pretty cool cat when it comes to sharing knowledge. Well I've kind stumbled into a idea I'd like to run it accross you for an opinion. Of course I'd like to kinda keep it quiet do you have an email for contact?

Can you stay focused? Honest to fucking God(!!) you start explaining something, WELL(!!!!) and then you go- squirrel(!!) and you get side tracked and make your point nigh impossible to understand. Whatever point/lesson you were wanting to make/teach is lost because you saw a squirrel. You speak well, you are articulate, you make good points, but suddenly you see a squirrel and you point/lesson gets lost. Now perhaps the people who are in the business or not terribly new might be able to follow the bouncing ball, but I am not that person and I drive otr. Stay focused. Make your list that you want to go over in the video and make them- then chase squirrels. You do this frequently in your videos, and it, at least for me, makes it extremely difficult to understand the lesson. Stay focused.
