I think most artists dream more or celebrity status/influence in their field over pure money, money being an understood side effect of success more than the actual goal. If they were after money, they wouldn't have gone into art after all.

@@mightyone3737 As an artirt myself, we chose art for love, then we remember that love what you do doesn't fill your stomach XD Also, Prismari is more into music, so if we are mean we can see the treasures as the money people give in the street or their instruments

@Robert Burns hot take: run fuzzy lanius. Sure it locks in archetype but you can slam down something spicy that most decks can't safely out without getting punished. RR after Phantom Rage gets so many resources from the yard for free that it is almost filthy. ALSO RUN TIME THIEF SPLASH FOR FUCKS SAKE. generic Dark r4nks whose main deck monsters are generic Xyz support is absurdly good. 3x Winder, 1x Bezel Ship, 1x Regulator for the spice.run 2 retrograde and 2 flyback.

You can also play the artifact that turns into a land which lets you use the treasures for card draw if you need it.

great video although personally im disapointed in Galazeth Prismari. I was expecting elementals and but like the college suggests but instead we got artifacts which lorhold was doing.

The important part is the ability to stockpile treasures while still getting a use from them, you can gage whether you need a treasure for a slight burst of ramp for a creature or if you can slowly accrue value by using treasures to sling defensive spells while amassing a critical amount of them for you game ending play This has real neat synergy with magda, prismari uses the treasures for instants and sorceries and then magda can pull the best artifact or another dragon from your deck, if both of them are in the 99 then magda pulling out prismari will refund 1/5th, and future treasures you make can be stockpiled for magda while still using them for your magecraft, at that point goldspan and rapacious dragon are neat picks, i'm imagining a prismari deck with magda as a secret commander

All I see is Izzet Artifact/Burn. I'm excited. Izzet spell slinging is my favorite and in commander it really is hard to do but we will see with this big guy. Can't wait to see what boarderless art looks like.

Nice episode, I always like a card that comes in Izzet or now “prismari” colors , some neat things that can be done with a artifacts based deck , definitely would need some X spells to finish off opponents after building up all the artifacts on the field

The best part of this seems like that (similar to Urza) it breaks parity on stax pieces like winter orb, static orb, etc.

Toggo, goblin weaponsmith seems like a good one. Nice that prismari makes stuff you would normally run anyway like boots and greaves into mana rocks. Probably worth running artifact lands because of fixing.

It's nothing like Urza. What makes Urza incredible is that he has a mana sink built into him. That and it's his ability so summoning sickness doesn't matter.

@@kuro_nogazaki Urza is incredibly fun to pilot. Don't know if you have ever gotten the opportunity but even on a budget he is really fun. And doesn't have to be built as stax although that is a fun puzzle to try and set up at the appropriate level table.

Hey a quick recommendation to check out Extus, Oriq overlord. he's a Mardu populate commander(I guess he also does reanimation or aristocrats but the coolest direction to take him is populate)

Was gonna say I actually think Rootha might be the sleeper hit from this colour pair in commander. A 1/4 who sneakily avoids commander tax by bouncing is pretty dang good - especially given her combo power with stuff like cathartic reunion

i pulled urza from a pack was told he is so broken you can add any artifact to his deck and thats what i did with a blight steel colosus thrown in for win con along with a alt that was a land that turned into a 20/20 indes flyer after 10 counters were removed which in the deck was real easy

question: what about equipped equipment? suppose i have a creature equipped with swiftboots, would the creature be able to attack and still be hex proof, and at the same time can i tap the equpment for mana?

Given the amount of Prismari cards in this set that create treasures as well as the number of red cards that do so as well, and blue cards that create artifacts, this guy gets out of hand quick. I love it. Brass's Bounty, Dockside Extortionist, and Goldspan Dragon make for some dumb effects.

What if you were to use magda, I know the deck might not have enough dwarfs, but if you were to par it with something to untap it, a lot of artifacts could tap it, am I just thinking in magical Christmas land or would something like this work in the deck?

Ehi Mitch, Can he synergise with zaffai tho? if we make a spellslinger deck zaffai will also create tokens that could be tapped for mana. Does it make sense? i am trying to find a way to make izzet works, but its very hard albeit being in a spell/wizards based set.

I was worried that the Elder dragons in this set would be busted, but I'm glad that they're not. They're not as inherently powerful as i would like, but they all seem to create a unique design space that I can get behind. I hope I don't have to eat these words...

Another key difference between this card and Urza: the ability to tap artifacts for mana gets turned off by cards like stony silence and null rod, since urza himself has that ability while Prismari gives the ability to your artifacts
