Imagine a peaceful bay surrounded by mountains of granite boulders with some epic adventures to be had! Imagine no more - Welcome to Betty’s Bay 40kms from Albany😍
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞
Nestled on a stunning little point, Betty’s bay is a small free camp with only 8 sites😍
The Albany shire runs the campground, and there are fantastic caretakers on site that look after the campgrounds.
It’s run on a first-in-best-dressed system, and honestly, 10’s of people get turned around every day as it is such a small campground. Arrive early to give yourself the best chance 🤞
The campground is on a point that has a beautiful protected bay right out front😍 It Makes for an incredible swimming spot.
Access is via a stretch of dirt road approx. 15 mins the road is pretty good and accessible by 2WD.🚗
There a commercial fishing shacks on the grounds, which are used in the season to catch salmon. The camp ground is shut during this time.

The points and surrounding areas make for some great Spearfishing and fishing 🐠 We caught several good fish spearing in a few days here 🙏🏼
The island seen at the back of the campground can be walked across and explored, which makes for a great adventure of rock hopping 🥾
There’s a 4WD track behind the campground, which takes you up onto the granite mountains. There are some pretty gnarly hills to climb, so I would only suggest you do this if you are keen to be thrown around a bit 😅
There’s another campground called East Bay which has a beautiful beach to swim at and drive on. Also, good Spearfishing there also.
Abalone can be found in the rocks; we managed to catch our quote easily, and it was the first time we’d tried it 🤤
