"Any executable file running in TEMP is 100% a virus" This is just a completely incorrect and silly statement. While yes, an executable being stored in the Windows Temp directory is suspicious, saying it is 100% a virus is just incorrect. Some software may use external executables running in TEMP to install libraries or other files. It does not guarantee the file is malware.

The reason why it doesnt feel like 1000 clicks a second is because cookie clicker has a max clicks per second if you click more than it then it wouldn't register. Also its not a virus i have been using it for a few years

Yeah I did a lot of research that was almost exactly the same process as this video, around the same time this video came out, and yeah I am pretty sure OP Autoclicker is safe, but if it isn't it doesn't seem to be doing anything over 3 years straight Edit: I also am very paranoid and check running processes and CPU/GPU/RAM usage all the time, and even use alterantive task managers. I've also used a RAM cloning software to look at what is running in memory and scan that for suspicious stuff, I use a firewall that has tons of community contributed rules, I use some Powershell hardeneing settings, and I use Defender UI to harden Windows defender a bit more. So I'm pretty sure my PC is okay.

Stuff like Chrome and Edge run items in temp folders (because its for data that is being stored locally on your pc) but just because something is running in temp doesn't mean its a virus. I have used this program for over 3 years now and nothing has happened to my pc

Okay so i know this is REALLY late, but it depends on where you download it. I downloaded it on sourceforge and it was a virus, and i had to get a new one. Supposedly it takes control of your mouse and deletes important things that your computer needs for it to run.

Op autoclicker isn’t malware if you get it from the right place. Beware of any open source code, like pullovers macro, since people can add in other downloads including viruses. Just make sure you scan it first

My friend said that this was a fine thing and it wasn’t gonna act up. About 5 minutes in my mouse started moving on its own. I closed it and deleted it IMMEDIATELY. Be careful with these guys.

The last one I downloaded, added an exception to C:\ in windows defender. No matter how many times I detected the malware, quarantined it and deleted it, it came back every restart. The exception made it so windows defender didn't detect the malware activity, and no matter how many times I removed the exception rule, it too came back each restart. I just gave up and reinstalled windows. It was some autoclicker from that site. I even googled it and checked a reddit post about it to see what people said, and everyone said it was fine etc. I thought I was thorough, but I guess it wasn't enough.

I wanted to test this myself so here is PROOF it's a virus, so here is my 3 year experiment result: I got the autoclicker in 2021, and left my computer on until now. When i came back, there was no real difference, but something was off, and i couldnt tell what. I checked my installed apps, and i saw 2 things i didnt download. One of them is a fake Office 365, and another that i dont remember. When i deleted them both, they said "we're sad to see you go! click cancel to keep me on the computer" AND THEN I KNEW IT WAS A VIRUS. I got an anti-malware software and it agreed. I hope uou uninstall it. Bye!

i should mention not every exe in temp is a virus it is however mostlikely a malware of some sworts.

i havent tested, but an autoclicker i found called aclib autoclicker and it needs admin acess, despite there being no reason it needs admin, op auto clicker (a safe one) doesnt

OP Auto Clicker is NOT a virus but if you download it off a fake website it can lead to viruses
