as a dallas resident it’s nice to see narrow head getting more recognition. I thought of smashing pumpkins while listening to them too.

HUGE deftones fan here, my girlfriend showed me this band and i was intrigued. i very much agree with the things said in this video and just wanted to say good work on this man!

I always compared them more to smashing pumpkins than the deftones. I don't think there'll ever be another Chino. That man is one of a kind.

Local magazine in San Antonio threw a show in a fucking sewer. Menorah played 4 songs and fucking killed that shit no joke.

True. A good solid band with the right marketing can have a good fanbase and a great career, but A original, unique band that makes amazing music is the kind of band that goes down in the history books. Deftones, Korn, Radiohead, Slipknot, these are bands that are trendsetters and created some unique original music during their time which is what makes them legendary.

it’s fairly easy to seem original nowadays bc most 20 yr olds and younger have never heard of the bands that these bands are riding off of. it’s even easier to make great music in the studio. what it comes down to is how you sound live.

fair opinion, but most bands that where big in the 80s-90s and the 00s where not original.

Deftones is an amalgamation of a few different bands it’s hard to be original when music has existed for hundreds of years and has really expanded in the last 100

I’ve start listening to them in 2019 and haven’t stopped yet.. also when they released MoC I’m still listening to it to this day and there is only thing that is stuck in my mind and that’s how Jacob sounds through some songs.. don’t get me wrong I love his voice but at some point it can trigger me how soft it sounds.. Chinos voice somehow can’t do this to me 🤷🏻 thanks for video and listen to narrow head ❤

I believe you're right. I'm 41. The first time I saw the deftones was in 1998, During the Pandemic I had a friend of mine that works for a run for cover records send me a bunch of stuff That's how I got into Narrowhead... Then I was able to see them twice since then... They give me the vibes and I would say. What you're talking about is the deftones We're a nu metal adjacent band... Narrow head Is a hardcore adjacent band I believe one of the best. Their singer has an interesting story And as long as they stick together as a band I think they'll be around for a while

90% of post 2000s shoegaze and dreampop is just a variation of other bands.Very boring genre now. So many bands dont hear the hooks in an album like soulvaki. It might be an age thing but too many bands get followers too easily nowadays for zero originality.

Huge deftones fan, but I think they’re highly overrated live. It’s really just chino being so offbeat.. Chino’s best set he’s ever done was with team sleep-woodstock live session

They’re in their late 20s early 30s but I understand what you’re saying. Though I think they’ve resonated with a ton of people and forefront this new rise of alternative rock bands nowadays

Nah they've gotten pretty big with the new wave of music and subculture coming out, they're gonna be pretty big along with loathe superheaven fleshwater Julie etc. Etc. Etc.
