IMO, the main problem with the switch is graphical power. It doesn’t need to be PS5-level powerful. Just enough for it to maintain a constant fps when running games.

Bet you some guy in the designing room just glued some joycons to an iPad and sent it to marketing to slap on a price tag.

It all just seem needlessly excessive. As far as handheld consoles go, the screen on the Switch is already plenty big with its dimensions being beaten out ever so slightly by its rival the Steam Deck. It kind of defeats the purpose of it being portable when you are encompassing it inside this huge contraption plus an external battery pack.

For $300 you can almost buy a steam deck for $399. If it came out 3 years ago this would be a huge hit.

Looks more like a tablet than a Nintendo Switch, and the hardware capacity to handle AAA title graphics is what matters not the display.

A console made for body builders, you'd have to have some strong arms to be able to hold that for over an hour

Why increase screen size when the resolution is usually just 720p on switch. Nintendo really needs to make a switch pro. The console chip came out in 2015. 2015!! 7-8 year old chip at this point.

doesn't matter. already can get one that they use in automobiles and its 12 inches for 80 or less, plus steamdeck makes the switch more obsolete by the day. we're in a new generation now, quite literally.

Instead of this, there should be a Joy Con Grip for the ASUS ROG Flow X13 / Z13. Would be the perfect portable gaming device, tons of power with a beautiful 4K 60 hz or 1080p 120 hz touchscreen + it's convertible. But would also require a powerbank. The weight would be fine when having it rested on a pillow.

It just seems entirely unnecessary. If you want a bigger screen, dock it to a tv/monitor. If you want a bigger screen while on the go, this doesn't seem like a viable solution with how bulky it seems to need to be with a strapped-on battery pack.

Even being the resolution in real 1360x768, the Switch is Docked inside rhe Orion screen so that means that the Nitnrndo Switch will be in Docked Mode giving us the best gaming performance that Tegra X1 processor can do. Having this in a portable monitor for me is really wothy
